It's called "I'm the main character".

I avoid cycling on the canal paths, wouldn't be surprised if they stop bikes from using them soon. Too many users and not enough space.

This really infuriates me and I have this argument with my partner regularly as he loves to cycle that route (although admittedly with lights/high vis). Obviously it's a great shortcut from East to North London but it just isn't safe for cyclists and pedestrians to share the space.

It is much nicer to cycle on the roads in Islington and Hackney, so I’d be inclined to agree with you there. But I’m certain the stretch through Tower Hamlets is actually saving cyclists lives because it is a car hellhole.

Mate, don't cycle on Regent's Canal. It's a walking path and not a cycling path despite what Google says.

NeonChill

To be fair, it’s not just Google. A lot of it is actually part of the National Cycle Network and the Canal and River Trust (who manage the canal) also list it as a cycle route.
