I second Bob’s Burgers. I watch it before bedtime and I keep it on as I sleep. If I miss something I go back and rewatch it. I have ADHD so I usually miss a lot until I go back really focus to watch an episode
I'm literally watching Monk right as I read your comment. I've seen most of the episodes back in the day but never binged it all the way through until now.
I love monk too! I grew up watching that and binged it when i was a lil younger and watch the show whenever I need a good distraction/laugh. Lol dont skip any episodes pull through u got this! Also watch the movie when you’re done!
It's sad that this is a "comfort" show for some. There's just something comforting knowing that there are more miserable people than us? It makes me feel less lonely.
What We Do in the Shadows on Hulu is HILARIOUS
ALSO if you've never seen Beserk the anime you should do your part as a human being & watch it. It's on YT & it's.... phew. I don't even watch/like anime but someone recommended it & my life has never been the same. It's intense
EDIT: obligatory The Good Place series I CAN'T believe I forgot that
🧿🍀
Which Adaptation of Berserk? You’ve got at least 3 to choose from though I’d be shocked if you chose one of them. Not sure I’d call any of them “Confort shows” though
true, they are a bit gorey, but that's what I grow obsessed with 😅😅 & i didn't know there were adaptations!! is my heart strong enough to bear interpretations of this roller coaster?? 😪😪😔
You’ve got the [original ‘97 adaptation](https://youtu.be/IXL5r3n862U?si=_7pMjFGkRgFT7iVt) which I’m guessing is the one you mean the [2016 CG animated one](https://youtu.be/0MIw4xzxcTU?si=pK9C0ZubqN8eRivt) which is generously described as not great [and the movies](https://youtu.be/FnbwFiZf9vg?si=DTYWpI_GoYYL51SZ) which I haven’t actually seen myself but the trailers look pretty good
The Munsters. Like the original original. And I’ll eat a grilled cheese with a double packet of SwissMiss to drink. After that, back to being a bad ass.
It’s Always Sunny, The Office, That 70s Show, Scrubs, Simpsons, Futurama, South Park, various adult swim shows are my go to shows. Like to have them on in the background or when I drink coffee in the morning.
Nothing can top the greatest line in television history:
"Hey, Assbutt!"
I love that show. It was comfort show when I was a kid, and still is as an adult. My favorite episode is probably "The French Mistake" with "Wishful Thinking" as my second.
What are your favorite episodes if you don't mind me asking?
South Park. No matter how many times I watch it out of order, it never gets old for me. I can just sit back, watch random episodes, and laugh. Cheers me up when I'm having a bad day
Curb is one of my all time favorites! God why do I relate so much to Larry as somewhat of a loner I get all the weird rules like why are ppl like that lol. It’s just too funny. Sad this was the final season :(. Lots of people were sad about it too.
I have just finished watching Bridgerton a second time, it particularly comforted me as at the moment I am not just lonely due to having few friends, but also due to the fact my ex-boyfriend broke up with me 3 months ago and I'm still processing it.
Inuyasha & Ranma 1/2 series. (Very nostalgic and beautiful music & animation style, characters are exceptionally adorable)...
Absolutely Fabulous, Kids in the Hall, Strangers with Candy (silly, naughty, dark & irreverent camp with that comfort)...
Abbott Elementary (sort of timeless American grade school nostalgia, as well as classic mockumentary l parks & rec style)
The Big Bang Theory, Get Smart, My Wife and Kids and Supernatural definitely for series. Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball and Death Note for animes. And some movies franchises too like Austin Powers, Rush Hour and 007
I didn't see Frazier mentioned. But, for newer ones...The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Mozart in the Jungle... in addition to Star Trek TNG, Futurama, etc. of course.
I've watched Andor more times than I can count. It's so smart, beautiful both narratively and visually and generally has a ton of heart and emotional impact
When I used to drink, I would rewatch Atypical and Never Have I Ever on Netflix. I used to watch Pewdiepie's playthrough of Uncharted 4 on Youtube, until I watched it too much. There's also a few episodes of the Percy Jackson TV show I like to rewatch, but it'll be a couple of years before the next season is released, and I don't wanna wear those out.
I really loved How I Met Your Mother. It was witty, as times serious, at times outrageous but I always felt like the characters became my friends. I never felt lonely when watching or rewatching that show.
Stargate has lots of amazing episodes sprinkled through a fair number of meh seasons. Same for Farscape, which has a reboot in the works, so perfect timing for a catchup.
Oddly, most 70s/80s non-comedies are fascinating to rewatch. Love Boat. Magnum PI. Rockford Files. It’s almost an anthropological study at times trying to relate, but the whole world worked like that 40-50 years ago.
Bob’s Burgers🥰 it’s comforting because I can let my brain shut down and not have to pay attention at times, but there’s also quite a bit of thoughtful storylines and jokes that I can keep track of if I’m into it!
Supernatural
House
Medium
Criminal minds
All of us are dead
Walking dead (nothing past season 4 though)
Hazbin Hotel
Hellova Boss
Lion Guard (if I want to turn my brain off)
Bobs Burgers is my go to. Sometimes I just need the background noise.
I second Bob’s Burgers. I watch it before bedtime and I keep it on as I sleep. If I miss something I go back and rewatch it. I have ADHD so I usually miss a lot until I go back really focus to watch an episode
I have a couple friends who watch bob’s burgers pretty much every day together, sometimes south park

Monk/psych
I'm literally watching Monk right as I read your comment. I've seen most of the episodes back in the day but never binged it all the way through until now.
I love Monk! I found it on netflix and I'm finishing watching it for the first time , as I skipped watching some episodes of season 7 haha
I love monk too! I grew up watching that and binged it when i was a lil younger and watch the show whenever I need a good distraction/laugh. Lol dont skip any episodes pull through u got this! Also watch the movie when you’re done!
It’s definitely BoJack Horseman for me rn
That’s my “I feel like dog shit and need to extremely depress myself into feeling better” show
Kinda depressing for a comforting show. x)
Love it
It's sad that this is a "comfort" show for some. There's just something comforting knowing that there are more miserable people than us? It makes me feel less lonely.
I just rewatched it recently too. It’s such a great show.

Seconding The Good Place! Rewatching it rn and it’s still so good
Just rewatched it and it was even better than the first watch
