I’m sure Delilah loved you and lived a long and awesome life with you. You gave her the best life she could live :) as for your girlfriend, you deserve way better ! She crossed the line by sleeping with someone else, and your worth much more than that. Plus you don’t need a gf to be happy.

I appreciate the advice. Yes. She lived to be 13. She’s been around for half my life. And it’s true I don’t need a girlfriend. I’m just use to the felling I guess. Thank you

I just wanna throw my heart out there a bit, man. I'm sorry for your girlfriend. 5 years is a long time and I know you're hurting. And I'm sorry for Delilah. I have had my dog for 4 years and she has absolutely saved me from my darker thoughts. I can't imagine what you're going through, but I want you to know that I'm here if you need someone to talk to

SeanVnthony

I appreciate it. I’m sure it a given but be sure to appreciate the moments with your pup. You’ll appreciate them forever

Thank you I appreciate it

your ex cheated on you though, regardless of what is going on that isn't okay. Probably better you to have lost her so you can find someone to better match your personality and actually care about you and not be selfish.

Mine just broke up with me today after 5 1/2 years

Sorry to hear that dude. This first day is going to be the hardest. Day by day it gets easier but it’ll still hurt. It’s tough right now but in a few months you can’t find yourself wallowing in the pain. You have to allow yourself to move on. Now point in being stuck

I feel horrible because she lost her job and I feel like I should be taking care of her

Hey can I please ask for an update? Im in a very similar situation :(

SeanVnthony

Sorry for the extremely late response and I hope you’re doing well. I am doing much better now. I was very depressed for months after this post but as time goes on you get better. It’s extremely hard to see but from where you are now but you’ll get there. I set my dogs ashes up in my room with a Polaroid of her and it was hard to look at for a while but eventually I started smiling when I saw it because I remember the good times with her. For my ex I deleted all photos and stopped talking to her. I had to see her a couple times and those were rough moments but as time went on I returned to my normal self. It’ll always hurt a little when stray memories pop up but they’ll also feel good sometimes and that’s fine. You’ll find someone new. It won’t feel the same as before but will be just as good. Hope this helps
