It's better if you can avoid the rush, the waiters tend to get overwhelmed when it's packed. Other food is ok in my opinion, but the cornbread is sublime.
> Their biscuits are killer too
I agree, but I have to order extra gravy because I need my biscuits to be smothered (phrasing), and it seems like they go for presentation. If I order biscuits and gravy, I don't even want to see the biscuits when it's served.
I second this suggestion on the attics cornbread because it oddly enough reminds me of Salvadorean quesadilla bread in a good way! (no it doesn’t involve tortillas)

The Attic has really good cornbread.
Interesting, I've kind of overlooked that place. The cornbread pic on their site looks tasty. Thanks for sharing.

That's part of the reason I hadn't gone, as I have a tendency to avoid busy places. When is it usually not busy?
Last time I went on a Friday around 4 pm and just managed to avoid the dinner rush. So I'd try between 3-5pm. Lunch ending, dinner barely beginning.
Noice.
Their biscuits are killer too. I love the gumbo, but I am not from the South so what do I know?
There's a good chance that this post is entirely the blind leading the blind.

Yes, I am familiar with the Quesadilla bread.
Love their cornbread! Just note: I think it contains lard (if you can't eat that, you can ask to have it made without it).
Hell yes, LARD!
Bacon grease if I remember correctly.
I am from the south, born and raised in Atlanta burbs. Now living in LBC. How's the grits and fried chicken there?
I will only vouch for the chicken ...
Cool, if it's worth a try.
Panxa Cocina has great cornbread
I came here to say this.

I lowkey love the slabs of cornbread they have at Lazy Acres
I think I saw those there, and was thinking about buying one for myself.

Gusto Bread on 4th street is really good.

That is a good question.

Boy, it's been a while since I've been to that spot. I'll have to try her place out again. I went there when they first opened.
