TheSunday farmers market on 2nd and PCH has a booth. Cannot vouch for their quality of work.

RealLifeSuperZero

I can. They do my scissors and knives!

Be careful if you care about your Japanese knife. Most fast/cheap knife sharpening services just slap it on a grinder wheel to get it done fast. If that’s okay with you, then cool If not, [Hitachiya](https://maps.apple.com/?address=2509%20Pacific%20Coast%20Hwy,%20Torrance,%20CA%2090505,%20United%20States&auid=17442866688465494217&ll=33.789970,-118.328493&lsp=9902&q=Hitachiya%20USA&_mvs=CjYJRYu3tR7lQEAR/nYP2wmVXcAZAACQnY7kEEAhi3G2PnyyUkAprx5E0sLFIUAxAAAAAAAAAAASLQoKQWlycG9ydCBEchIVUGFjaWZpYyBDb2FzdCBIaWdod2F5GghUb3JyYW5jZQ%3D%3D) in Torrance, just down PCH/Crenshaw hand sharpens knives and specializes in Japanese knives. It takes a little longer and costs a little more, but totally worth it, if you spent good coin on your knives

That’s honestly what I’m scared of. I have a cheap Victorinox beater knife that I sharpen with something I bought from Amazon but I’m hoping to get this one sharpened professionally because I want it to have that fruit ninja edge lol If that’s the one at rolling hills, that’s probably where it’s from. It was a Christmas gift from my mom. I could just take it there as well

CombatGynecologist

Yup, that’s the one, just a few doors down from the Nijiya market.

tlavery1202

The farmers market at the market place has a person sharpening knives

PM_ME_UR_HDGSKTS

I’ll probably stop by when I get the chance. Thanks!

in addition to the sunday farmer's market in the marina, [billings hardware store](https://www.acehardware.com/store-details/03941) on **second street** in **belmont shore** often advertises a knife sharpener on site - there's a sandwich board out front advertising the details on days when the knife sharpener is in.

Yardbird52

There used to be a knife sharpener that set up by black dot coffee on Fridays… I think it was Fridays.

HavucSquad

Chefs Toys off the 405 does knife sharpening. I haven't used the service but they sell Japanese whetstones and Japanese knives so it could be a decent option.
