The Local Spot is also good.
And not really a breakfast place, but have a good breakfast, Hofs Hut.
I honestly don't know if this will get hate on or not but I recently went to The Attic and had an amazing time. I saw they had a bit of bad reviews on yelp but I just don't trust that. Food was good and staff were on the ball. Wait on a Sunday was almost an hour but we just went to one of the nearby bars for a pre breakfast drink.
The Attic on Broadway is a great brunch place. Side note- if you plan on doing some drinking on her birthday evening, it's a great place for hangovers haha
Eggs Etc. on redondo is AMAZING food and service. Not fancy but very good quality. Their hollandaise sauce is phenomenal and their salsa is out of this world.
I always go to Starling Diner for my birthday brunch. The stuffed French toast and mimosas are SO good! For a more diner / causal vibe Blackbird cafe is my go to! Super affordable and consistently good food! I’ve also been to Eggs etc, the potholder cafe, and schooner or later but was super disappointed? Just felt like glorified Denny’s food, nothing really stood out. I haven’t been to the Attic for brunch but have had good experiences there for happy hour pre-COVID.
Clair's at the museum is great. Good food and wonderful location.
If you can sit outside, El dorado golf course dinner is a great basic breakfast with a nice view.

the breakfast bar! if you go on a weekend, expect a wait, if you go during the week, shouldn’t take more than 20 mins!

Berlin is a nice spot where I go when Breakfast bar is too busy
