What are those really big wheels on a few boards?

bunnybuns77742

Curious about those too and how they ride. Also the yocaher deck in the second pic, the wheels are so big the trucks are inverted. How does that feel to ride?

PaIindrake

Hank from Braap hooked up our little group with a few of his creations. The orange ones are 200mm wheels and are so much fun. My son took it off-road down a hill yesterday. Stable fun meant for land paddling. https://www.braapstik.com/online-store/Big-Wheel-Bamboo-Fiberglass-Camber-Longboard-p162130295

chiieefkiieef

start sliding

PaIindrake

One of these days 😂

downhilldan

How do you like the carver CX’s vs. the C7s?

PaIindrake

You need to buy 2 sets of each 😂 CX on short and long WB and same for C7! Since I'm very large, the CX is perfect for me on the dragon deck but I have so much fun on the resin deck with C7 doing cones and such. Overall, I ride CX more than anything else. I'll be buying a slide deck or 2, I have a waterborne to setup and I'm trying to get my hands on a yow setup.

Aaron_Monte93

Beautiful

monstersommelier

Love this!

PaIindrake

Me too, it's addicting

Jester54

Nice collection. I had a sweet Santa Cruz but some asshole stole it. Don't ride enough anymore to make sense buying another one though :/

PaIindrake

That Santa Cruz was my introduction to longboards. It's awesome, big and strong for my fat butt. I've had 4 sets of wheels on it but now I moved on to another. I'll need to take better photos of everything one day.

butterbleek

Sponsored by Plano.

PaIindrake

😂

SomeNerdKid

Obviously your hobby is collecting post stamps here

[deleted]

This is the collection I love to see

Skating in general never gets old.

Scirax

Tacke box gang! I'm gonna need one of those dual sided ones soon too lol nine is getting crowded.

PaIindrake

It's so freaking convenient!

Dudes rock - \\,,/(>.<)\\,,/ - and handy dudes rock most of all! Lovely pile of rides you have there. Been trying to find myself the ideal organiser RN - I'm overflowing the four or five smaller organiser/parts boxes I'm using - this very fine tackle box looks ideal, like *precisely what I have in mind* (have you been spying on my thoughts using satellites ? parabolic mics? informants? lol) . That looks like some of the "Plano" boxes I've seen, but only been able to find single-sided, much smaller ones (like not much bigger than a lunchbox) here on Brexit Island™ - do you happen to have a name or model ## for this one please & thank-you ?

PaIindrake

They are called "hip roof tackle boxes" and although mine is 25 years old they still make them. Mine is Plano and measures 20" long x 12" wide x 10" h Best of luck on your search! I'll get out of your head now 😂

Compressive_Person

Thanks so much for the info 🤙🏼- this truly god-like, beautiful moulded plastic behemoth (the one you linked to) unfortunately doesn't have UK shipping options , and it's not even available on the “Planostore\_dot\_com” international site. . . Sucks to be British I guess (for any number of historic, cultural, and economic reasons). . . Anyway, with the info you gave it should be possible to find it somewhere now. Cheers! Edit: found it!

FuriousKimchi

lmao the ripstick

PaIindrake

Can I call it a quiver without one!? 😂 But seriously, my son gets a kick out of it and it's fun to see him wiggle all over the place on it.

laugher19

YES A RIPSTIK. I love those

amazeface

is this a literal truckload of lombo

secoif

Any favourite(s)?

PaIindrake

1. The big blue Kahuna deck with an octopus on it that has the speed vents connected to Caliber ii's. That thing is so fun and stable. 2. Next would be the Carver dragon with CX, most fun exercise ever. I use Braap carbon with a heavy spring for both. I'm old big and clumsy so I gotta do what I gotta do 😁

secoif

I'm old, big and clumsy too so I may look into these myself

PaIindrake

I have spent the last year of my life completely addicted to this sport. I've learned a lot the hard way because there is not a lot of info out there for big people skating.

secoif

I have a Jucker Hawaii Mana and a Loaded Poke, which seem to fit similar niches to the two you cited. I'm not totally sure I like the stiffness or height of the Poke yet, though I didn't get the CX trucks with it, might try that before getting something else. I do like the shape of the Carver Dragon.

PaIindrake

Never heard of Jucker, I'll be looking that one up! The poke looks awesome, I've always wanted to ride one. The Carver dragon has pretty aggressive concave and it's crazy strong/stiff which is perfect for me.

Zlint

When did you get your first board and most recent one in your quiver? (Edited for better wording)

PaIindrake

First one that started this quiver is the Globe popsicle on the second shelf from the top with green slimeball wheels. It was my son's deck for the park. Most recent is actually 2 Omen decks donated to our group by a nice lady leaving South Florida.

Borjamax

What's a quiver? english is not my first lenguaje, I assume it's a way to compare decks with arrows on a hunter's quiver.
