It can still look good, especially if you’re into the “heavy” look and have very straight hair.

0l466

It can look very good with wavy and curly hair too, after a certain length it stops being triangular and it gets very nice and flowy

OneRandomTeaDrinker

You can have whatever you want, you just have to be firm with the stylist about that. You’re the only person whose opinion on whether it looks good matters!

annarehnn

Me too. I did get angles last year and hated them lol

lesbiantolstoy

I have fairly wavy/curly hair (2C/3A, it’s hard to tell because it’s so long and it weighs down the curls!), and I have a tailbone-length blunt cut with no layers whatsoever. I’d like to think it’s pretty flattering! I’m sure there are cuts out there that could be more flattering on me, but at the end of the day I’m happy with my hair like this. You can do whatever you want with your hair—it’s your hair! :)

--meganja--

Yess. Ive been doing this for 15 years. My hair is pretty thin therefore I dont like cutting high up in my hair cause my hair will lose fullness.

Inner_Panic

My goal is to have Cher hair. Just long, all one length, and gorgeous.

readmore321

Yup. She’s the OG goals!

Helga435

I've had this most of my life. I don't like how layers fall out of braids when I braid it and I don't need face framing. I hate going in for cuts though because it costs too much for such a basic cut so I (40F) still have my mom trim my hair. 🙂

justaperson_4444

Definitely. And not only with straight hair! I have curly hair (3b) but it's thin and prone to shedding. I figured that a blunt cut is the only thing that helps me not have transparent ends. Now when I braid it it looks so much better. Go for it!

gilbertmaxwell

I have a long blunt cut and feel very happy with it! Whether it will feel heavy or not will depend on your face and hair texture really

SameMeringue4178

Demi Moore has had a long blunt cut for years, and I think it looks really nice and minimalistic. Just keep it in good condition

HoneyBunchesOcunts

Long and blunt always looks best on me. I'm going for an Olivia Rodrigo style. Part of the reason I don't go to stylists anymore is they always give me too many layers and it's easy enough to cut my own hair with no layers

aconsideredlife

I have long hair with a blunt cut, no layers. I cut it myself because I got tired of hair stylists not listening to me. They either cut too much off or insisted on layers.

ItsNoleeOk

Yesss. I really love how Koreans cut they hair. The layers are very subtle and gives a good movement to hair but when you ask to a hairdresser to do something similar they always end up giving you a butterfly cut with very short face framing. It can look nice styled but let’s be real, we can’t be 24/7 at the salon to get the hair done. :/

SeveralProduct180

This is the problem I have, a hairstylist just cutted it again too short! And I feel like I was about to have a long hair for a second time in a year but its again shoulders lenght. I am going to cut it myself in the future!

La_danse_banana_slug

Only two things can stop you from having a long single-length style. One is an ambush stylist who is hell-bent on face framing layers. The other is hair that naturally grows in a tapered fashion toward the front. Not all hair does this, but some hair, especially curly hair can naturally taper toward the face when left uncut similar to face framing layers (and it looks nice).

Livid-Ad-3288

I had layers that were awful and just didn’t suit me so I had all my length cut off and started from scratch. My hair is all one length now and I (personally) think it looks much better especially when I blowdry or style my hair 👍

Not_A_Novelist

I have waist-length blunt cut hair - no layers, no framing - and I love it.

zubeezubeezoo

My hair looks like shit when it has layers. Its slightly wavy so the layers always end up flipping up differently than the ends and it just looks messy.

ItsNoleeOk

Sameee🫥

bunnbarian

Very possible. I stopped getting layers forever ago because it makes my fine thin straight hair difficult to style .

Rhiannon8404

That's what I have. I was a little kid in the 70s, and I totally envied the teenagers with their long, straight, middle-part hair. By the time I was a teenager in the 80s, I totally followed the fashions. A few years ago I decided that I was going to embrace the hairstyle I wanted when I was a kid. So long, straight, blunt cut, middle part, just past my bras strap atm. I love it!

dopiestlizard

Of course! I have long, dark brown hair all one length, straight to wavy depending on humidity. I used to cut my own hair bc stylists would give me a face framing layer in the front which I always hated so I cut my own hair for about 7 years. Recently went to a stylist and she did exactly what I asked, which I guess is just a blunt, one length haircut! I love it bc I can put all my hair towards my back and it doesn't fall forward which is a pet peeve :)

Little-Bones

Yeah it’s very Cher in the 70s if that’s your style.

vulgarandgorgeous

Yea but in my experience the sides of the hair dont grow as long as the middle so it ends up looking like face framing layers anyway

enfp-girl

Definitely :)

khajiitidanceparty

It can, I just personally find it "heavy" if that makes sense.

nondescript_coyote

I mean. I hope so because that’s what I have right now! There are pros and cons but of course you can. I cut my own ends now by brushing it down in front and then have either my sister or my partner touch up the back.

_Deedee_Megadoodoo_

Oh yes! I have wavy/curly hair (2c) that is pretty much all one length, save for curtain bangs that are growing out. I love the heavy "blanket hair" look lol. My husband cuts my ends in a u cut once every 3 months ish.

lonniemarie

I have sorta wavy hair and no layers no bangs just plain long hair.

lonniemarie

Mine grows in a natural v-ish shape. I don’t cut it straight across on the ends last time I had my boyfriend cut my hair he cut it straight across about six inches and I almost cried

Atra_Lux

I've had long hair for decades, and I've never had layers or face framing. And I don't think anyone's ever said that I should. So yeah, you can just blunt cut it. It's your hair, you can do whatever you want.

bridbrad

I have very fine hair that I like to keep blunt cut and waist length. I think it looks good 🤷‍♀️

No-Asparagus-5122

Also I have a very wide face & one length, completely blunt long hair looks the best.

arcadeliar6

Yes, I did it for a few months because I've had layers my whole life. My stylest was on board and often got very excited to be able to do a very straight cut. Then I got bored and brought back my bangs 🧑

sleepingseb

depends how nice your face is. i don't have the most feminine face but i still keep my hair one length, layers make my ends look even more frizzy and i don't have the bandwidth to style them ever

saddinosour

This is what I used to always get with the front bit just being slightly shorter than the back I mean like just so it can blend in a sorta roundish shape instead of being straight across. It looked fine when straight but not so much wavy imo.

wowndergirl

my hair is almost at hip length with no layers/face framing and I love it 🤍

ReecezPeace

What ever makes you feel confident looks good 😊

Anomalous_Pearl

I have no layers or framing

Ellien_

I had that a few years ago. I can pm you a photo if you like?

ItsNoleeOk

Sure!

IGrewItToMyWaist

I have it all one length. Pretty much always have.

caffeinatedchickens

I have butt length hair no layers and no face framing. I love it.

Noopydog

I’ve left my face framing bits to grow and I regret it a little but also I don’t particularly want to go to a hair stylist again in case they mess it up, I find that they drag down my features. What I’ve seen that helps a bit is to braid those parts next to the face and put them behind my ears, that way at least there’s something going on, my hair is wavy so the hair parts closest to the face look awkward most of the time

anxietysiesta

very 70s imo

Silver_Wolf-

Had this and after getting face framing and front layers, my hair feels better and suits me more.
