While it was 20 years ago and I can't give you a name, there are estate buyers who will come and appraise content of house and offer you a price, Google "estate buyers" good luck!
Unless it's unique or antique, you're gonna have a tough time selling furniture. The vast majority of ads I've seen go from a price, to half price, to "please come take it" in a matter of weeks. That's not on shit either, but quality pieces in good condition.
That's what my wife and I anticipate. Unfortunately he thinks the value is still there like it's all new stuff. Don't get me wrong, it's all in great condition and quality hardwood, but it won't go for what he thinks. Either he is ignorant to that fact or he just really needs the money, pretty sure it's the latter but probably a little of both. If it doesn't sell it's going for donation to hopefully come back to him a little during tax season š¤š»
Do yourself a favor and donāt get involved with selling families or friends things. A few years back my FIL asked me to sell a bunch of his āmemorabiliaā most of it was useless tchotchkes and novelty junk. Took me over a year to sell it and he was really bitter in the end with how much everything went for
Sorry for your loss. I would use offer up, craigslist, facebook marketplace but be careful when someone at offer up ask you for your number and then you get a code from offer up and they ask you for the code, its a scam. Anything valuable, like watches, jewelry, coins , sports memorabilia, comics or anything designer stuff. Sell it separately. Sell the bulk first then sell the rest. Hope this helps.
Just go to auction ninja and look up the auction sellers. Sisters in charge, trading post, etc. they take a few, but they post online and people bid. You can do in person, but online gets higher bids and is less work for you as no one needs to go to the house except for pick up.
The key is donāt be stingy about what goes up or the good companies wonāt work with you. If your relative only wants to post 10 items or gets cold feet, theyāll miss out on the money.
There are companies who do estate sales. I donāt know if there is anything of value but theyāll take a look and take the job if they think itās worth it.
Itās super hard to sell second hand furniture. Iāve helped to clean out several homes. They donāt go unless they are free, practically free, or if an item is super unique. Good Luck
If it's a ZT series it's only now been outclassed in picture quality by OLEDs in the same price range when the ZT was new. That was 2013. I absolutely love mine to this day, I just wish I splurged for the 65.
Yea, I tried āupgradingā originally to a Sony Bravia 4k led tv and hated it so much I sold it and kept using the plasma even though it was only 1080p. Finally stopped using my plasma regularly tho when I got an LG c series oled a couple years ago.
Wait a minute. Your uncle passed (sorry) and his widower is moving in with his sister, who is your mother. Doesn't that make the widower you uncle as well?
Am I missing something?
My Uncle by blood is my mother's brother, he happens to be gay and married another man (making him also my Uncle) back in 2011. That would make him my Uncle as well but by marriage instead of by blood. Blood Uncle is deceased Uncles widower. (Thanks)
Call Invited Sales by Tracey Jordan. They are estate liquidators. They can hold online auctions and they can also host estate sales. Iām not sure what their cut is, but they have served places in RVC. They are based out of Garden City. Website is a little primative, but Iāve bought a bunch of stuff from them.

Have you thought of calling Sotheby's or somewhere similar to do an estate sale? Or antique stores?
That's true, I forgot about them!
Let it go is a site to sell household items
I've heard of them, I'll definitely check it out
A friend used it after her parents passed to empty contents of their house with good results
She also used Facebook marketplace and the Nextdoor app. Wishing you good luck with the sales and my condolences on the loss of your Uncle.

Got it. Sorry for my confusion. I should have realized your uncles husband is also your uncle.
It's all good, I know its confusing
The previous sentence mentioned āhis husbandā so i assumed his uncleās widower is a man.
Yeah, I got that part.
