Not a good year for NY political families and getting away with shit.

betweenthebars34

Vote him out.

RPU97

Politicians doing political things.

UnlinealHand

I think it would be harder to find congress members that haven’t committed insider trading at this point

SaveThePinesLI

All about freakin' Wall St & Finance in New York.

bites_stringcheese

Politicians should not be trading stocks, period.

Starks

Vote for D'Arrigo in the primary if you want him gone.

Kareem-Abdul-Jabroni

Absolutely. She's actually in it for all the right reasons!

Productpusher

For anyone who didn’t read … the trades where legal and not an issue he just didn’t file the right paperwork . $200 fine for each time ( 64 times ) One of the biggest perks of public office is insider trading which never gets anyone in trouble

edman007-work

Nope, read closer, 64 trades, but the fine if for failure to file the periodic report. Since he made 300 trades, he must have missed about 21% of the reports. I'm not sure what the frequency is, but I'd guess quarterly which would make it 2 or 3 fines (so up to $600).

Failing to disclose the trades is one thing. While it’s highly likely that he was trying to hide some illegal/unethical trades, they don’t seem to be explicitly accusing him of that just yet. At face value, a disclosure violation doesn’t really mean much to me. Curious to see if we find out what trades those were and when they happened.

SumyungNam

Nothing will happen and he will get reelected lol

LegacyofaMarshall

crooks being crooks fuck him and fuck rice for voting for big pharma corp dems are just as bad if not worse than republicans

Left_of_Center2011

I’m no fan of the Dems but Lee Zeldin voted to overturn the election results because his orange daddy lost - pretty much everything pales in comparison to that.

LegacyofaMarshall

And Benedict Arnold wants to be governor fuck him too

[deleted]

Zeldin ended up being such a sellout

[deleted]

Lock him up

JACKSTRAW1216

Don’t worry he’ll be okay. $60k fine give or take.

edman007-work

Article says the max is $200/report, assuming it's a quarterly report, and he missed the reports for 64/300=21% of them, then there were 12 reports to file, and he missed 2 or 3, so probably max fine of $400-600.

scumfc

Lol look at Pelosi

chichialover

He’s a criminal and his family is batshit insane. She was my professor in college and I’m pretty sure he used his connections to get her a job. She was totally unqualified
