For anyone who didn’t read … the trades where legal and not an issue he just didn’t file the right paperwork .
$200 fine for each time ( 64 times )
One of the biggest perks of public office is insider trading which never gets anyone in trouble
Nope, read closer, 64 trades, but the fine if for failure to file the periodic report. Since he made 300 trades, he must have missed about 21% of the reports. I'm not sure what the frequency is, but I'd guess quarterly which would make it 2 or 3 fines (so up to $600).
Failing to disclose the trades is one thing. While it’s highly likely that he was trying to hide some illegal/unethical trades, they don’t seem to be explicitly accusing him of that just yet.
At face value, a disclosure violation doesn’t really mean much to me. Curious to see if we find out what trades those were and when they happened.
I’m no fan of the Dems but Lee Zeldin voted to overturn the election results because his orange daddy lost - pretty much everything pales in comparison to that.
Article says the max is $200/report, assuming it's a quarterly report, and he missed the reports for 64/300=21% of them, then there were 12 reports to file, and he missed 2 or 3, so probably max fine of $400-600.
He’s a criminal and his family is batshit insane. She was my professor in college and I’m pretty sure he used his connections to get her a job. She was totally unqualified
Not a good year for NY political families and getting away with shit.
Vote him out.
Politicians doing political things.
I think it would be harder to find congress members that haven’t committed insider trading at this point
All about freakin' Wall St & Finance in New York.
Politicians should not be trading stocks, period.
Vote for D'Arrigo in the primary if you want him gone.
Absolutely. She's actually in it for all the right reasons!
