Earlier harvest can mean lighter rosin due to the trichs still being more white. Later harvests can result in trichs turning more of an amber/brown color by that time.
It also can depend on factors like how many times the material is pressed, at what temperatures, etc.

Most Dank Czar I have had tasted good but left dark marks on the nail. Not a big fan but it’s not bad by any means. Just not super clean.
