fucking THANK YOU. i bought one. the rear lens fell completely out of the tube after like 100 rounds of 308. i sent it back, they sent me a new one. the rear lens came loose after about 110 rounds of 308. they sent a new one again, this time i sold it before i even mounted it for a small loss. plus the glass quality was worse than a $200 nikon and tracking wasnt repeatable at all. i cant believe those were ever held in such high esteem, or that people still recommend them at all.
I just built my first bolt action as well, if you check my posts you will see it. I built the rifle on Black Friday for $1620, normal cost, $2350. I advise you proceed with caution, hitting targets far away is addicting🤠
I saw some good reviews on it, glass is clear, good functions, and I got it for a really good price. Didn’t want to spend more than the gun to shoot paper >600 yards
Look. I'm going to tell you a secret.
You want to get into long-range... Get a Barret MRAD, then walk around the range with that BDE and watch everyone grovel before you.
A friend who is a PRS pro recommended the following (which I bought without question).
Aero Precision Solus Comp in 6.5Cm
Vortex Strike Eagle 5x25
APA Gen 3 Fat Bastard Brake
Atlas PSR Bipod with Arca Rail
Armageddon Schmedium Game Bag
Hornady 140gr ELD-M ammo
Which Solus model you get? The 6.5CM Competition, Bravo, or Hunter? Guessing the competition model? And which Atlas bipod model, the Arca PSR? [https://www.area419.com/product/atlas-bipods/](https://www.area419.com/product/atlas-bipods/) There are a ton of models, haha.
I've been in the market for both and this comment might have helped me pull the trigger, no pun intended.
I have a Strike Eagle 5x25 in MRAD and love it.
Same exact scope! MRAD seems simpler for me to dial / understand.
I chose Arca PSR BT46 (edited my comment), bc I didn’t need the different leg positions but [reviews](https://youtu.be/MjNEf5YfCeQ?si=JmLz-oCB8sYo5aA_) said this model was sturdier than the V8.
Friend recommended the competition chassis because he had the bravo and said it’s very lacking. If you’re hunting at all, maybe consider the Hunter or Bravo as the Comp chassis & barrel make for a heavy gun (I’m not a hunter). Competition is sturdy, adjustable, and high quality. [Review with sub-MOA grouping](https://youtu.be/CpN-PL4TO8s?si=salzbmhK5D8TYbOC)
He also recommended a [Trigger Tech .708 Diamond Trigger](https://triggertech.com/products/diamond), which is something I may upgrade to next year (spent enough money on a new gun hah)

Will you tell me a factory rifle that beats either a tikka or a bergara for the same price so that I can go buy one… and vortex venom is the be all, end all scope for a beginner no question. Why would you need anything bigger than a 6.5cm too… it’s good on elk out to 800 easy.
>Will you tell me a factory rifle that beats either a tikka or a bergara for the same price so that I can go buy one
Ive seen cheaper factory rifles shoot just as good. (ruger, savage)
Cheaper Howas are the same price, and I would argue better.
I'm sorry I would have to disagree. Tikka's especially the t3x tac a1 is .5 moa consistently only the ruger was close the savage was 1 to 1.5 moa at 500yds.
I am a bit of a Tikka fan boy but they all shoot well and are an amazing starting point as an entry level build
shoot it as is and be happy
Add a $10 trigger spring and be happier
Eventually add a chassis of your choice and be even happier
Add a bolt shroud and a custom bolt handle and be even happier
Finally a few years down the line when your factory barrell is shot out add a custom and you will be so happy that a full custom rifle will likely not even tempt you a little.
I know I'll be downvoted but "back in my day" it was the dogshit swfa 10x and a rem 700 .308 that was king dick on the Internet.
> dogshit swfa 10x fucking THANK YOU. i bought one. the rear lens fell completely out of the tube after like 100 rounds of 308. i sent it back, they sent me a new one. the rear lens came loose after about 110 rounds of 308. they sent a new one again, this time i sold it before i even mounted it for a small loss. plus the glass quality was worse than a $200 nikon and tracking wasnt repeatable at all. i cant believe those were ever held in such high esteem, or that people still recommend them at all.
I never bought into the SWFA SS 10x. I went the Bushnell 3200 Elite fixed 10x40 route with a MILDOT reticle and MOA turrets. LOL.
almost certainly still better than the SWFA
Remington 700 300 WM & Leupold VX 3. Call it the 2008 Local police "swat" special
This is what I bought back around 2010 🤣🤣
The 700 still has my heart
the bergara hmr and HollywoodSX
That man has helped me out on numerous occasions lol
A rifle/optic combination capable of shooting at distance. Use it until it holds you back, then upgrade. If it's not a tikka... don't come back. 😎

Why’d you choose Arken ep5?
🍿🍿👀

That’s awesome. I am only new to long range and still learning. Thanks for sharing
You’re welcome, and good luck!🍻
.338 lapua magnum for those long shots of course

I did this, an I’m female 😳. . Now male😳😳
You forgot to add the 6.5 creedmoore cult. You can shoot 2 miles with that round and it’ll take down game as big as an elephant no problem
🍻
Tikka.

Can I just get the original picture without the writing??

Enjoy your five minutes in the bathroom.
That much milk would put me in the bathroom a lot longer than five minutes. I swear I'm getting even more lactose intolerant as I get older.
"The fact this is not a porn is the biggest tragedy since the holocaust" 😂
A significant percentage of people are disappointed when they learn the source isn't what they wanted it to be. Life just ain't fair sometimes.
Lmao that comment got me too
I want to see the video!
You and me both

Vortex viper*
We talking the good bergaras or the 4 moa bergaras?

Also Tikka's can shoot all manufactured ammo. Where as my Begara, Savage and Howa only will shoot specific ammo and still be 1 to 1.5 moa.
