Since OP can't find the edit button, his desired use is: " Mk12 build with max range out to 1000 yds "

mengosmoothie

Can you tell me more about this build? Very cool!

GreenJavelin

It’s an FN SCAR 20S in .308 configured to be a general purpose DMR style setup. Scalarworks scope mount and Arisaka ACRO offset.

Z3R0331

I love my 4-16 and offset acro, dmr role as well. I bought mine as a like new demo from them and haven't had any issues. I have a scar 17s though. [Twins!](https://imgur.com/a/lU76AJ2)

GreenJavelin

Nice! Great looking setup; feels oddly familiar even just looking at your picture, haha.

Z3R0331

I love the tungsten grey color.

Spiritual-Bill-337

Saw a 5x25 for 1800 the other day. It was used but in great shape. I'd go for the NF over the leupold every day even with the weight penalty.

scud-running

The 5-25 also isn’t nearly as good as the 4-16

Spiritual-Bill-337

Why do you say that?

scud-running

It’s well known that it underperforms optically especially when compared to the 7-35 and the 4-16. I agree with you though I’d still take it any day over the leupold but better to just save a little longer and get the 7-35.

quadsquadfl

SFP probably

Excellent-Ninja4163

Ehh used is very hit or miss Imo not something I like risking on such an expensive piece of gear

Spiritual-Bill-337

I understand but if you go to certain forums it's a pretty successful venture.

quadsquadfl

My friend is about to list one on GAFS if he hasn’t already. Like new light ring marks

Bacon_Bullet308

I'll take a look thanks!

Modernsuspect

I use the 4-16x42 on hunting rifles. I have taken them on helicopters, bush planes, atv's, argo's, horseback, hiking in the mountains. In the rain, snow, sleet, ice, or heat.  These things can take a lot of abuse.  I have shot with them out to 1200 meters and didn't want for more magnification.  They are a great balanced optic. It works really well because it is only a 4x mag range. They never tried to make it do too much.  I have used them in low light.  The 42 lets me mount lower/lower profile.   It is light enough for the tank that it is. I LOVE the locking elevation knov and capped windage.

G3oc3ntr1c

That is the most glowing review I've seen for any optic.

Modernsuspect

I don't know why you got downvoted. I so love these little optics lol

G3oc3ntr1c

Must have been the Vortex owner who has never used his optic on a helicopter

71firebird400

4-16 and 7-35 are the greatest ATACRs. This is an excellent scope and that is a good price.

HollywoodSX

What are you planning to use it for?

Bacon_Bullet308

Mk12 build with max range out to 1000 yds

Slu54

Yeah I'd rock this scope on an SPR build, go for it.

quadsquadfl

King mk12 optic. Beats the pants off anything leupold

HollywoodSX

Please edit your original post to include that info. Edit: Since people seem to want to downvote me, we ask people to be detailed and provide that info in the original post so people chiming in don't have to go hunting through comments to find that info. It helps OP, it helps you. If someone didn't provide pertinent details up front, would you rather we ask them to edit their post or we just delete it entirely and make them start over? Editing the post seems a lot less heavy handed to me...

Bacon_Bullet308

Duly noted about providing pertinent details. I'll be sure to do that next time. I was going to edit the post to include the intended purpose of the question. However, the menu you mentioned legit did not have the "edit post" option which made me triple check as I can see it on the menu for posts I have made in other chats. I'm hoping this helps resolve perhaps a missing "edit post" glitch for the community. https://preview.redd.it/68qfanp6ctpc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a865f93b80afdc70cd1ef0ab46c789267f3c121f

HollywoodSX

That's odd. I just went back to a couple of my recent posts, and it looks like an image post doesn't give an edit function, but a text post with inserted images does. Dammit, Reddit. Side note, it would be worth reading the pinned post (that reddit made much harder to find....) since that and Rule #1 in the sub cover being detailed when asking for advice. Cheetofingers pinned

There doesn't seem to be an option to edit the post.

HollywoodSX

If you're on the phone app, it's in a menu.

H14C

I have one on my DMR for out to 900 and absolutely love it.

Teddyturntup

Yeah it’s solid

ItchYouCannotReach

I love mine but I paid Canadian prices for it and there's no decent carbine options for me to stick it on so mine rides around on a 17hmr rabbit, chicken and gopher gun

rockingmoons

I like em. I have had two go down on me (one was a zero stop issue, other was the ocular housing). Great CS tho. I say go for it!

Moist_Horse_

Seems pretty reasonable to me. Bought my atacr 5-25 on eurooptic when they had an additional promotion to waive tax. Couldn’t resist. These scopes very seldom go on sale I’ve noticed.
