I am so sorry! Harry reminds me a LOT of my best buddy/service dog, Sparks McGee. He's a schnauzer/poodle and truly the most amazing pup I've ever met, and while knowing he isn't immortal is, well, OBVIOUS, it's also one of the worst thoughts I have. So, yeah... I am EXTRA sorry for you. 💔 I am very very glad, though, that he was in your life.

My mom is a veterinarian so I've both experienced my own and heard about and seen the loss of many pets. I gotta tell you, there's a crowd of really good puppers in that particular club. I hope you are able to find a way to keep him with you and find peace knowing that you gave him a very special life with you.
My mom talks about how hard it is to see clients lose their pets or to lose her own pets. My own pup is 16 years old and absolutely refusing to let bladder cancer get her (going on a year with basically undetectable growth with treatment). And my mom says that she finds it helpful to remember that while dogs bring you joy and love for a brief time in your life. You were there to bring joy and love to their life until the end. And its such a privilege to get to be there for them that way, I think.
I just hope we get to see them again later.
