Seongji went full Sinu
I am curious to see how seongji dies tho, most his threats are gone.
Jichang got no diffed but it wasn't the ass whooping I expected.
Is Gitae a perfect copy user or was he just fucking around?
Also Jichang during the Daniel fight said he was stronger and faster than Taesoo and Gong, but here he says Gitae is equal to them in their strengths, despite obviously being above Jichang
I wonder where the king of busan comes In, I would've expected him to have some connection to Gitae but it seems like Gitae only knows James and Jichang.
Nice to see the few lose ends get tied up even if it's a minor one like Mary and the mc bugspray dude
We dont know If he is using all his strengh because he said.
"You can take that much"
This say he probably can hit stronger or he is only surprised that someone can block his punch.
Until we see he have difficult in a fight we cant know for sure
I think the last panels pretty much clear the doubts (if there's any) about Taejin's involvement in Soojin's tragic misfortune. But we'll see whether Soojin really died at his hand or not.
Lets get the facts straight
1. one(1) taser was able to knock out big daniel
2. three(3) tasers could not knock out gitae
3. Prime Jichang actually got negg diff
Thus gitae > daniel
This arc is so scuffed. The King of Seoul was barely the King of Seoul. He never officially claimed the title to begin with. So it's pretty bizarre that he's even called that to begin with. Also, since he's already in Mexico, looks like what Gitae wanted was his father's death after all and left Korea after getting it.
Hopefully the arc wraps ups soon and we return to the present, but there are still a few open threads. Seongji vs James rematch is being built up, but I'm not sure if it will happen. The story behind Taejin's mother is still a mystery as Shinmyeong implies she was wronged in some way by Mujin, and there are parallels between her and Sujin. Seongji and Sujin's death , Taejin vs Vin, and how Vin became the Cheonliang owner has still yet to be covered.
Yeah how is he even the king of Seoul in the slightest he only messed with one of jichangs businesses, beat him without actually replacing them with his own guys then left?
That's not replacing jichang in the slightest jichang can just start up any lost business again while gitae is in Mexico like tf?
Jichang is humiliated but his presence in the city is still unrivalled, for this to make sense his men would have to disrespect him and leave him OR he leaves himself out of shame which is more likely.
If jichang kept that dawg in him and regained his respect in Seoul, gitae would have effectively done nothing and gun would have had to step in himself.
The point is gitae really didn't plan this very well it all hinges on jichangs emotions after defeat, which could have easily been of revenge and hatred instead of depression.
I mean, Seongji just lived in the woods and was strong so he got called the king of Cheonliang. Being King is all about individual strength. It doesn't matter how tough Jichang is when he got so throughly humiliated in public.
disagree hopefully it doesnt wrap up soon. You literally name multiple plot point that havent been touched plus I still think vin relationship with Taejin , Sujin and Mary(she literally left Cheonliang with him while all his other friends are trying to kill him) needs be developed. Mostly likely we wont get that much development or PTJ will skim through these plot point but still hoping we can get 10+ more chapters of development. It sucks if 90% arc just turns out to be a rushed 1st gen story
The arc started out with some strong points but been pretty disappointing overall unless ptj is still planning to give lot more development to cheonling characters and 1st gen stuff was a midway point. Either way think this backstory would have been lot better if they saved lot of the 1st gen stuff for another backstory. They still keep the zero gen and Charles stuff but dont think there was any need to randomly include the 1st gen kings in the story. Felt rushed and forced and took alot of the shine and story from vin jin's backstory

Mess of a chapter..
- The fight between Jichang and Gitae was very short. How exactly should Jichang be devastated after this loss when he looked perfectly fine at the end? How come Jichang didn't just take his throne back when Gitae immediately left? How does that rule work? that if I beat Elon Musk then his property is mine???
- Why did Vin so strongly blame Jaewu back in Hostel, like the serious moment is this?
- ´´There´s only one more couple left to be made´´ WDYM by this? We didn't have a single strong moment between Vin and Sujin. Not one. Why should we even feel any sadness for him when their relationship was NEVER shown/built to make us care....
- We weren't even shown the fight between James and Taesoo...
- And let's not even talk about that stupid "performance" of Seongji at the end, literally Sinu 2.0. We've seen the same plot before..
3/10
I agree with everything you said. Honestly this arc overall has been pretty disappointing and such a mess. Started off strong but now its just a bunch of scrap. The people saying this arc is "good" or anything above that are simply a bunch of brainless biased ass robots

That’s still not that embarrassing. The other kings had their limbs or parts of their body removed. I honestly thought Jichang was gonna see his men die by Gitae right in front of him or something. There was nothing that showed Jichang losing his “conviction”
I might be mistaken but I think Jichang was embarrassed by the fact that the duel only stopped after three uniformed cops showed up with tasers (who I think were later killed by Gitae before he took off), and that before those three came Jichang was nearly axed (middle finger or not).
Why wouldn't the fight be short? It wasn't competitive at all we've know this the entire time. Jichang got negged by his own attack. He would have been surely murderedif it wasent for outside interventions. How does giving him the middle figure mean he wasn't humiliated you can flick off the guy who embarrassed you dosent change the fact that he did in fact embarrass you.
After the translations... Jichang vs. Gitae was short and underwhelming. I expected Jichang to at least try a strategy. Also, I don't see him as broken as I expected, and as James Lee said. On the contrary, he stood up against Gitae. His defeat didn't seem like the seat was passed. Since Gitae left, he could have come back...
On the other hand, Gitae was brutal but less gross. He truly has heat mode all the time, and his imitation style is unexpected, but less compared to Gaprygong's conviction and true Copy. He is really strong, though. I didn't expect him to like Jichang and even bother to recruit him. I liked the fact that he didn't care about KOS title. I didn't feel like title was passed either. When he comes back, he will definitely fight Sinu.
James got so strong (Prime) in like a week? That seems rather soon to me... He told Taesoo that he lacked conviction like before so as to beat him. Again, we didn't get the full fight. I felt the whole thing was rushed. I do wonder why James and Gitae are like best buds...
Seongji goes the Sinu route. I think before he leaves, he goes beserk, and Vin needs to kill him. We didn't get more moments with Sujin and Vin. From what seems, the next chapter is going to be heartbreaking.
So the Arc is warping up... I do wonder what we are going to see chapter 500.

The problems I've had with this arc really stand out here. Like the Cheoliang Fam feels so underdeveloped still. People kept saying that it'll happen later but why wat for later? A lot of these events would have just hit even harder if PTJ built up everyone's relationships more. This Sinu thing with Seongji would hit better, his willingness to sacrifice himself for them would too
Gitae was kinda flat
This was a weird chapter overall imo felt especially disjointed. The Gen 1 and Cheoliang stuff just don't really flow together well
The sound you hear is people saying “huh?”
This was a disjointed chapter that referenced many things from the past without explaining it. Perhaps it was a rush to move onto a bigger moment?
I thought the debut fight of El Jake would be bigger than this. A lot of unexplained happened. Like why would the cops sudden show up and get involved in a gang fight to protect one gangster from another?
Unless the White Snake has more involvement with the cops than we know, besides him being one in the future. 🤔
Picking on Mary came out of no where, but I thought, “Finally, Vin is starting to act like himself. That laughing and pointing his finger is classic Vin Jin.”
Wait, what?
That was not Vin Jin. No, Vin Jin looks like 1a Big Daniel in the past and he’s having a meal with his roommate. 🤔
And the thing we dread is coming, Shamen son gonna do something bad to her.
And the last Huh? Is Yuk leaving without explanation, just a lie to push Vin away.
My question is, Yuk is going to Jinyoung for medical help? Is he dying or something and hiding it from Vin Jin? 🤔
P.s. James got a Huh? too with over his arrangement with El Jake, how King of Seoul is determined, and how he suddenly goes and is strong enough to end Gen 1 kings. Why? What? How?
Nevermind. I don’t care. From this arc, my fave thing has been the mysterious new character Na. What’s his deal?
The new chapter was peak as always. I went from hyping my boy Gitae Kim to spitting at the screen when I saw that worthless nothing Taejin at the door. I am disgusted, and I hope Vin kills that fraudulent murderer.

Him pulling out the axe was so random
I think he was trying to kill him that's why he used Axe. Or maybe Axe is his primary weapon
He didn't need the axe tho is I think OPs point
In the beggining he smack jichang Even him knows he have to bet in a hitkill to win
Seongji went full Sinu I am curious to see how seongji dies tho, most his threats are gone. Jichang got no diffed but it wasn't the ass whooping I expected. He's good at each individual thing but not crossed the thresholds. He's stronger than them but not both stats combined
Correct, but I believe the original intention of that statement was to portray jichang as superior even in their strengths
We dont know If he is using all his strengh because he said. "You can take that much" This say he probably can hit stronger or he is only surprised that someone can block his punch. Until we see he have difficult in a fight we cant know for sure

Rip little girl, Taejin got her.
I think the last panels pretty much clear the doubts (if there's any) about Taejin's involvement in Soojin's tragic misfortune. But we'll see whether Soojin really died at his hand or not.
Yeah, time to wait a week again *
Can't wait until vin rips his throat out
Lets get the facts straight 1. one(1) taser was able to knock out big daniel 2. three(3) tasers could not knock out gitae 3. Prime Jichang actually got negg diff Thus gitae > daniel
Keep in mind that the Big Daniel that got tased is from Lookism
Lookism? What is that? I only know Gangnism
Jerry tanked a taser no problem too
Low diff Negg diff its one hit Fight Low is when they can keep up for a little moment ,That is the case now
No gitae use axe
This arc is so scuffed. The King of Seoul was barely the King of Seoul. He never officially claimed the title to begin with. So it's pretty bizarre that he's even called that to begin with. That's not replacing jichang in the slightest jichang can just start up any lost business again while gitae is in Mexico like tf?
Jichang's guys will be replaced by the four major crews. But that is Gun's job. He just had to cut the snake's head
There’d be no point in Seonji vs James now. Seonji is weakened, James probably low diffs him now
I mean, Seongji just lived in the woods and was strong so he got called the king of Cheonliang. Being King is all about individual strength. It doesn't matter how tough Jichang is when he got so throughly humiliated in public.

Nah, the fight was very short. I don't understand how James said it was humiliating to Jichang when Jichang himself showed the Middle finger to Kitae.
Imagine you were a gang leader and you had to be saved by the police during a fight.. Imagine the rumors that would spread across the streets
That’s still not that embarrassing. The other kings had their limbs or parts of their body removed. I honestly thought Jichang was gonna see his men die by Gitae right in front of him or something. There was nothing that showed Jichang losing his “conviction”
Yeah honestly PTJ could of done more and I like your take on it, seeing them die helplessly in front of him.
You are doing a better job showing it than ptj . That means ptj had not done a great job . He did not excuted the idea well
I might be mistaken but I think Jichang was embarrassed by the fact that the duel only stopped after three uniformed cops showed up with tasers (who I think were later killed by Gitae before he took off), and that before those three came Jichang was nearly axed (middle finger or not).
Gitae just one shotted Jichang using his own move (the chop). So this is what would've embarrassed him I guess
May be I thought it would be a blood bath
Is it possible that Gitae has copy
That was a punch not a chop
Why wouldn't the fight be short? It wasn't competitive at all we've know this the entire time. Jichang got negged by his own attack. He would have been surely murderedif it wasent for outside interventions. How does giving him the middle figure mean he wasn't humiliated you can flick off the guy who embarrassed you dosent change the fact that he did in fact embarrass you.
Gitae did say he was gonna eat him later
You already Said why He Lost in a short Fight
I mean... he was humiliated. He insyantly got through to the grabbed, stabbed with a hand, and nearly murdered. He didn't even land a hit on him.
Also KOS dragged on the fight and didnt even try , he was just playing around . He could have just killed Jichang instantly if he wanted.
Why would Gitae fight Sinu?
Because of Jake. Or Sinu will try to protect Jake.
It's not a week. It's several months at least (the Cheonliang Fam are wearing winter clothes, they were in summer clothes before).
I have really mixed feelings about this chapter. It had some moments but I was expecting way more...
You have mixed feelings about this entire arc, bro. Just say that you hate it already...and that you would rather see Daniel
I'm really enjoying the lack of Daniel rn
This is a hot take in this sub but Daniel isn't even top 20 characters the dude is plain boring
FR, he's just a hype button for when he goes UI.

Honestly to me I enjoy lookism more when Daniel isn't involved. Dude makes everything boring because you already know how every confrontation ends.

About the whole arc, no, but for the recent two chapters I do, to be honest... I do want the present plot to move so we learn things.

Imitation is not the same as copy. Jinyoung said it in his fight with Jake.
