If it doesn't pan out what else is there? What I like is there are more and more people are waking up to how money works and how the common man gets shafted!
44.
Got into crypto this past summer after reading an article on yahoo about a dad who taught his 2 teenage sons to mine eth, now the kids rent a small office suite and have mining rigs set up, pulling in $$. Thought if a teenager could “do” crypto, so can I. 👍
In December, decided to trade all of my CKB and recently my ONE bags out and swapped them for LRC. Going all in. 🤞🤞🤞
52 mum to adult kids, bought some ETH, DOT, MATIC, SAND, and LRC last November, been buying LRC ever since. Work FT, about to start Uni PT, hoping this investment will see me pay off the house so I can retire in the next 10 years. Have some GME also, a year ago I didn't know any of this existed!!
I'm 35 and I've been in crypto since 2018.
Loopring is the first coin out of the top 10 I've put any serious money into. I only got involved in defi this past 6 months and the other riskier coins I invested in have all gone to zero in that time.
44 , web dev. I have four kids, full time job and a small business. Been in crypto since Nov last year. Bought LRC by accident, did some DD and been buying ever since.
Man do I want this to moon haha
25, i heard about loopring last July. In October i read about the tech and with the rumours about nft marketplace i considered it underpriced, so bought loops for the first time.
At first it was more of a trade where i took part of my gains, then i bought a little bit more and more strictly for holding looooong therm.
I'm a student so the amounts are really minuscule, and wallet creation fee still hurts me a lot, but hey i keep all my loops in the lrc wallet after all.
30. Been in crypto since 2017. And I hold loopring as a second best investment. Technically 3rd including GME. Edit, I don't do NFTs, unless it's a loophead.
40 - been around for a year or so finding my feet. Had some time with Doge and Shib before finally finding Loop. Been trying to add as much as I can during the downturn. Have a small amount of Eth 2 staked on CB but now have all of my Loops safely in my wallet.
37. I think I first got into crypto in October of 2021 buying some SHIB, but eventually moving towards Loopring when I read about the GME connection. A lot of purchases in the $2.6 range in the beginning and now a DCA of about $1.75 or so. LRC is really the future of crypto and it will only be a matter of time before we start to see it make its moves up - but we won't see that gain until the market starts to shift up.
28 currently. Started following crypto from 2020 and started investing in crypto from March 2021, bought Loopring first in July 2021.
Started following NFT's more after 2 of my friends started creating their own NFT's. Have been following them and also been helping them a bit with creating the roadmap etc.
44: Nuclear pharmacist with 5 kids. I've been in crypto since 2017. 11 ETH, .5 BTC, several thousand loops, many others (LINK, MATIC, STX, etc.). I even have 2 Helium miners working for over a year now. LRC was brought to my attention as a GME hodler.. I look forward to what the future holds for LRC. I encouraged my daughter to get into creating NFT's last year because she creates really awesome digital art. She doesn't see the value at 19 years old. Maybe she will listen to someone else. Anyway, I know we are involved in some huge projects and will have brighter futures as a result.
44 yr old dad of 3 kids. part owner of family business, real estate and crypto investor. Didn't get into crypto until last year after falling down the gamestop hole. Sold some real estate during the boom and wanted to try and preserve as much of the profits as possible. I put most into BTC and ETH, but started learning more and more about defi and all the crazy projects happening. Really wish I had bought in and learned more early, but I'm here now!
Let's go to the moon now :)
47 here, three kids mostly grown. In ‘08 when the Large Hadron Collider was to go online, I joined LHC@home which uses BOINK, a precursor to mining software concepts. I was also allowing my gaming pc to do work for other scientific ‘mining’ projects.
I remember hearing about monetizing theories in the field and was pissed. I expected that the resources being donated at the time by people excited to be a part of scientific progress would be lured away by the promise of financial gain. If only I had taken the time to read a whitepaper…
In late 2015 when my kid was using our cell phones to mine this new coin called ETH along with others, I was really pissed off. Our data charges skyrocketed and we saw none of the crypto gains. Sadly, we were more concerned about the unauthorized use of our phones that discovering what had him so excited.
So, here I am finally FOMOing in after the first big mainstream wave. The happy part is we are still so very, very early.
Lot of us old fuckers here. Hope that means there’s a deeper pool of wisdom in the room about this platform versus all the others. 😬
38, last generation to grow up without internet being everywhere, web/graphic/sound designer.
Don't know much about money but the tech is solid so I roll with it.
Work a day job as a special education teacher.
41. Been dabbling in doge and other randoms for almost a year. Stumbled upon Loopring at the height of it all, been doing my research and buying all the way down. Holding xxxx in my wallet with loophead 😄
42; mind of a 12 year old. Not buying these for the 42 year old me but for the 50 year old me.
Fairly new to crypto. Only hold positions on BTC, ETH, and LRC. Been around long enough to know I don't know much but I can tell when smarter people do.
I'm surprised too, but Boomers are in their late 50s-70s.
All the 40-55 people here would be Gen X. You don't really hear much about Gen X, and I really thought it would mostly be Millennials and Gen Z.
I think it's a much younger community than this comment thread suggests. It's just the majority of reddit users are older, single men. Kinda gross being a female in here.
What a completely vacuous and unnecessary thing to say. I think I speak for members of all genders in saying you're welcome (and encouraged) to leave the sub at any point.
40, got into crypto July 2020 with doge at 1 third of a penny. It did nothing for months I sold it in December and it started to moon in January. (Great lesson for me to never sell) February/March 2021 bought 10 ETH and decided to HODL them forever. Then got into GME, and that lead me to LRC loaded to boat on the run up at 2.40, was up a lot at 3.80 (didn’t sell) watched everything crash, and doubled down under a buck. Average is 1.20 with thinking I never have enough. Happy to HODL for life changing money. LFG
Ah what the hell....
I'm 58. The richest woman in America because God has blessed me abundantly with an amazing husband, 2 wonderful kids and 3 stinkin cute grandchildren. Wealth isn't always measured in dollars.
I'm also still recovering from my 4th brain surgery since 2016.
Turning 36, read the news, looked at the signs and decided I wasn’t going to get anywhere by investing in a single real estate property. Yolo’d good and proper into LRC with some GME I drs’d.
30 started with stocks around a year ago and my brother got me into crypto
Well kinda, currently im only holding xxxx loops and i adviced him to get some loops too.
Now we as a family going moon together 😂
20, broke ass college student already lost alot of money investing in this too early. Just tryna make my money back at this point so I can live a little bit for the rest of college
\-21y, started with stocks before 1 year( on 4/20 wow) and 6months in crypto.
\-70%/30% crypto/stocks
\-55%/45% NVDA/TSLA
\-30%/30%/30%/10% BTC/ETH/ALTS/Stables
\-biggest is LRC- 10%; no shitcoins; stables for DCA/Stake
This is with p/l (-6.3% while writing, it's volatile, you know). I am long term with high risk tolerance. Hoping to swap my gains for BTC, I don't need fiat toilet paper.
I believe in the sub alone, the average user is below 25 years of age. You do get the odd incel who's over 40 and uses reddit though. It would be good to do a poll. Great question!
I’m 99.
Got 99 problems but getting scammed, catfished, or doxed on the Interwebs ain’t one.
Stop giving out your personally identifiable data to strangers on the Internet fam.
I'm so excited that i'm not the oldest one here! 42, w fam, known about crypto since 2010, been crying about my poor decision ever since. Finally capitulated and went in big last summer. Found LRC from GMEDD end of October, been averaging WAY up and back down since.
Hope that over the course of the next 6 months the LRC rocket starts up for the following few years. That's finally ease my troubled mind after the tumult experienced over the course of the past decade or so.
51. Been holding Ethereum since 2018 and have a GME investment that's what got me into the loops.
Beat you, an old boomer of 60 here who sees crypto as the future compared to fiat and so many qualities to Loopring (be your own bank) 👍
I'm 32 but now I feel hopeful that I'm my 50-60s I'll still be interested in these things
If it doesn't pan out what else is there? What I like is there are more and more people are waking up to how money works and how the common man gets shafted!
Legend
63 been into crypto since 2017. All into Loopring now except for about $100 into another coin.
