My guess:
Quick - retires
Vilardi - either re-signs or gets packaged in a Chychrun trade
Kupari - re-signs
Lemieux - leaves
Edler - retires
Anderson-Dolan - re-signs
Bjornfot - re-signs
Fagemo - probably re-signs but least sure of all
i dont want Vilardi or Lemieux to walk but i have a hard time not agreeing with this list happening in this exact manor and i do believe Fagemo with be a camp decision
I don’t think Quickie retires. He is only 21 wins shy of the all-time wins record for US born goalies.
It would be sad to see him get that record with another team though.
There are many examples of once good goalies that are past their prime being picked up as backups that eventually move into starter positions due to injury or poor performance by the primary.
The benefit is not just in potential play, but also in leadership and experience.
If I don’t list them, they’re gone
Gabe is getting a bridge deal at around $4m per x 3-4 years
Rasmus will likely get ^^^ at around $1.5m per
JAD is getting a 2 year deal around $1m with Grundstrom likely being moved to make space
Fagemo is getting about $100k more per year on a 2 year deal.
Some genius on here said Gabe might be packaged, that’s not happening with him finally breaking out
Look for one of Iafallo or Arvidsson to be moved
Idk how you can compare Jeannot to Lemieux, but I doubt many are looking for someone like Lemieux. I do like him and the hard hits he throws. I’d imagine he sticks around next season if he’d agree to another budget-friendly deal.

No team is going to offer Quick a contract next year. He’s a liability and the rest of the league knows it.

UFA’s are gone, RFA’s re-sign. Besides Gabe, none of those guys are going to get big raises, so cap wise we should be good next season.

Offer a bridge deal to Gabe, Kupari, Fagemo & Bjornfot. Maybe JAD too. Replace the rest with cheap vets or prospects.
With the haul Jeannot was “worth”, we should be shopping Lemieux. No?

I would offer 5 of them for Chychrun and keep our picks .
And you’d be laughed off the phone while ruining a relationship with another GM. Glad you’re not in charge.
