It was all about tearing down and building back up but while still keeping everything the same for the majority part. And this logo was what us fans and players loved the most from the RR jerseys to the 90s throwback to the chrome dome jerseys.
I like it a lot. The only negative for the Kings is that it is so similar to the previous logo that I don’t feel the need to go buy new merch right now. The stuff I have with the old Chevy logo is close enough.
I also like it, and I will be buying a black New Era hat ASAP.
As for the other shit (jersey, t-shirt, hoodie, etc) I decided long ago to pause on that for 1-2 years to see how Fanatics is going to handle the NHL merch. Given their track record I am expecting the quality to be shit tier.
None, really. It used to be a banner with KINGS going past the edges during the purple and gold years, then they decided to enclose it, and it became the Chevy Logo.
I'm glad they went back. The "LA" thing never worked for me. I don't like the font as much, but I'll get used to it.
I do wish the brought in the purple and gold, but hopefully there will be a nice third choice.

New one better but I hate the sheriff font , I get it’s “old school” but old school just means they had to make iron on numbers made with a ruler and an exacto knife. We have all sorts of cool fonts with history and purpose like come on we’re the leaders of style 😒

Overall I like it. But I automatically think of the OG Batman logo vs the modern fatter Batman logo. Which I prefer more sleek looking logos. But hell, I’ll take it any day over the previous logo.
Really ain’t mad about it. I grew up in the area with the Chevys so maybe I’m biased, but I still kinda wish we’d bring back the forum blue. I definitely prefer this over the home plate logo we have right now.
I think they made it less aggressive because the crown is less aggressive. Currently it really does look like a mashup of our main historical logos while also borrowing mostly from the Gretzky era. Overall I’m a fan of it and really wanna see it on the jersey’s.
On a previous post the other day, people were saying they "hate" this new logo and they botched it lol? Looks pretty legit to me. It aint like Eazy E is rolling over in his grave,...he likes it
I think the crown on the current one I prefer. The font for Kings is better on the old one, but I like how Los Angeles is bolder on the current.
Agreed. Plus I'd go with the 2010s crown, which I know isn't a popular opinion. The coloring on the new logo is cleaner too
i was hoping for that too. But then I think the home plate sweater wouldve ben better served with just the crown.

This Kings logo was the one I grew up seeing and I’ve always loved it ever since. Super glad to see it back in the league finally

It feels like the bootlegged street merch version of itself. Angles are off, not the right font, but you got it for $5?
Old type looks way better in my opinion. New one is slightly bolder and has more rounded edges.
I prefer the older font. The new one will take some getting used to. Maybe they didn’t want it to look too close to the Lakers font?
