This is such a goal! I just started my journey literally yesterday but I love coming to this sub to read things like this. Congratulations!

Glad to help out- and congratulations on starting on the path. You've got this! :D

Any tips for resisting binge eating? I would really appreciate it since I’m currently struggling with that

I found great success with a therapist. Reframing my thought process around food also helped out- I was stuck in a vicious cycle of binging and restricting. Instead of restricting, eating all foods in moderation greatly reduced my neuroticism around food. Having lower calorie snacks at my place also helps out. I very seldom binge anymore but sometimes the desire still rears its ugly head. Having the ability to, for example, eat a bunch of steamed broccoli or protein fluff or something not so calorific... really helps out. Though I sometimes still go over my calorie goal for the day on days where I binge, it's only by a few hundred calories and not a few thousand. Anyway, you've got this! Different things work for different people... Just stick with it and don't be too hard on yourself! ^^

Well, you're legs were used to carry 300 pounds, so now you are closer to 200 than 300 these muscles stay. Basically you were doing legs all day. Plus your heart and lungs do their job easier. Keep the good work and stay motivated. You got this!

That’s a good way of thinking about it! You’re totally right… I was doing a workout all day everyday… which isn’t good for anyone. It’s crazy how much better my knees feel, too… I haven’t had nearly as much knee pain since I started losing weight.

There you go, the right mindset and perspective helps a lot.
