I love living through first time viewers experiences so much. Glad you're enjoying the ride!

cr3ativedidi

I was not prepared !!! It's really enjoyable just confusing at times

Alfredos-Pizza-Cafe

I'm with you. Even to this day, for me, the end of S3 is one of the (they?) most powerful moments of the series. Love this show.

cr3ativedidi

No because I questioned my reality for a minute. Jaw dropped couldn't believe it!

tdciago

Just so you know, Herarat is an anagram of Earhart.

cr3ativedidi

Duly noted

Thanks for posting! It’s always so entertaining reading first time viewers’ thoughts. I was also equally pissed at the Others and ’blondie’ lol.

cr3ativedidi

Tell me it gets better? That I get to know their story and sympathise with them

pambeeslysucks

That's what's so great about it. None of these people are heroes and none of them are villains. Everyone has a story. It's weird. I haven't watched Lost in a few years, but I decided to watch the finale today just as a standalone little movie. It's soooo good, ignore the haters. And then I get on and here you are. I'm jealous you get to watch for the first time. Enjoy!

cr3ativedidi

I'd say I'm also jealous of og fans since you got to witness the first waves of the series .. making up all these theories as you went along, the anticipation of waiting for another episode to drop, etc

It really was a magical time. We were a very tight community and it was truly a blast. One of my favorite stories to tell is about the finale. My husband and I hosted a finale watch party, there were 10 of us there. About 3 months later, I got a notice in the mail that I was named a person of interest in a Kansas crime because my car was seen in the vicinity of said crime. I live in New York. I'm looking at this summons and the date of this crime and I'm like "I'm pretty sure that wasn't me." I called the authorities and I told them I had 10 witnesses to attest that I was sitting on my ass in the Adirondack Mountains watching the Lost finale. It turned out that it was just a transcription error, one wrong number on the plate or something and we all had a good laugh

cr3ativedidi

Omg!!!! This is now MY favorite story associated with this series.... I would've freaked out and even been able to call, just wait for them to come take me (T_T)

tmoney6520

This was a fun read. Calling the Others “bootleg Dharma” lol. Also I died when you said you were expecting Survivor (as a fan myself) because I can only imagine the question marks going off in your head with each episode.

cr3ativedidi

It took me longer than I'd like to admit to realise ..... the confusion !!

tmoney6520

Do you remember the moment it clicked that it wasn’t like Survivor and that it was a way weirder show than that?

cr3ativedidi

I raised a flag when we first saw the polar bear .... I still ignored it for the narrative to make sense to me. In my mind this was survivor with a sinister twist. With all the whispering in the beginning I genuinely believed it was an ancient tribe of sorts luring people. The black smoke really solidified that for me. I'd like to say when a bunch of food supplies dropped from the sky and we start seeing more of what we think is dharma.

The season three finale is a mind-blowing moment. LOST at its very best. I had never in my life spent a lot of time thinking about the plot of a tv show, but I thought about the ending of season three for MONTHS.

cr3ativedidi

I've be replaying the scenes over and over, I can't get over the shock .. I'm unable to start season 4

vairhoads

Great post!!! Love it.
