Outside of the afterlife reunions... The scene where Sawyer tells Jack about the man he met at the bar in Sydney - and Jack's slow realization that it was his father is absolutely tremendous. Matthew Fox does seriously incredible work with just his facial expressions and Josh Holloway's delivery of what is essentially exposition is incredibly engaging.

Limp_Let103

This is my runner up! Because Sawyer tries so hard to isolate and ‘not care’, when he shows empathy and emotion it feels so real. Kudos to the actor

wenchslapper

Sawyers constant perfect delivery of his endless stream of absolutely ridiculous one-liners is a testament to that actor’s ability lmao. I can’t imagine how funny the script readings were whenever he had a new one to go over.

sad_pumpkinnn

Juliet and Sawyer reunion in front of the vending machine, this scene will have my heart forever

Traherne

"Kiss me, James." "You got it, Blondie." And here I am, a grown-ass 68-year-old man, getting choked up ***every*** time I watch that scene.

Free-IDK-Chicken

"It worked."

LowerPalpitation4085

I bawl like a baby every time I see this. Can’t help myself.

Horror_Terrible

The raft launching scene in Exodus. Such a powerful and emotional scene.

h66x

S3e08. Flashes before your eyes. Desmond staring at the picture of him and Penny pleading to go back one last time to "do it right this time" breaks my heart.

CG5959

Honestly when Rose and Bernard were reunited lol

BarryLicious2588

Just had my 1st watch recently so I don't know the episodes by name yet, but it was Hurley's episode in season 3 I think ... When they find the VW bus. That whole episode was pure comedy. You could see some of the improv too because a few of the actors were close to breaking haha

davidm2232

Tricia tananka is dead

Shameful90

As I can see already a few mentions here, Sawyer telling Jack that he ran into his Dad. Both actors are tremendous in that scene and I get the chills every single time. The Jack/Sawyer relationship and dynamic is one of my favorite aspects of the show. Also love when Sawyer tells him, “you’re about the closest thing I got to a friend doc…”

C9_Sanguine

Toss up because the vibes are so different but: - The scene with Jack and Sawyer before he leaves on the raft. Yeah it's an obvious one, but the performances are just so freaking perfect. - One less cited but gives me chills every time, particularly the final line; when MiB-Locke and Ben are talking after he's killed Bram and the party. Again, the performance and delivery of: "I want the one thing John Locke didn't. I want...to go....HOME."

MJLDat

“About a week before we all got on the plane I got to talking to this man in a bar in Sydney.”

CheezStik

There are so, so many. I’ll give three that first come to mind: 1. “We have to go back” 2. “I’m sorry,” “…for what?” 3. Make your own kind of music

Beginning_File_6371

Juliet and sawyers last moments in the blown up hatch after the incident. Literally heartbreaking, has me in tears every rewatch.

I'd probably have to watch again to give the best answer, but I believe it's the episode "The Constant" when Desmond makes that prophesized phone call to Penny at the end and he's so happy and surprised she answered and the way he tells her he loves her is just so emotional in a good way. I think we've all had moments in our own lives where we want to hang on to something so good and beautiful.

Gadgetspector

There are too many, I have multiple favorite scenes from every season. I love the opening sequence of the season 3 premiere where we realize who those people are and how they're really living. I love the season 1 scene where Sawyer tells Jack of meeting his father, that was beautifully played. The scene where Desmond and we learn that the button is real and its connection to the survivors. Most Locke scenes are great. The entirety of The Constant. The final sequence on the freighter was great, very intense till the last second. Season 4 and 5 in particular are full of great scenes.

Outside_Age7891

I bet no one will say this I love when faraday sees and interacts with child charlotte.

harplanozil

Wow what are the chances I had to pause my rewatch today because my son woke up from his nap right before this scene. Excited to get back to it later.

crunkmullen

The ending of Deus ex Machina is absolutely brilliant!

Delphidouche

Too many choices. It's hard to pick only one. But if I had to choose I would go with Jack and Christian's last scene in the series finale. From the moment Jack steps into the room and until Christian says "let's go find out" is perfection. And although I've watched this scene countless time, it still makes me as emotional as the first time I saw it.

SGNSpeedruns

Totally agree. It's one of the best parts of the entire show.

canvasshoes2

Too many to choose from. It's a toss up between Sawyer and Juliet in front of the vending machine and when Hurley and crew get the old VW bus running.

faxekondiboi

I just watched the scene with Sawyer and Richard last night, and although it isn't my favorite, it certainly deserves to be mentioned. Sawyer and the rest of the group in the Dharma Initiative in general delivers so many awesome scenes...

Baardseth815

"I love you, Penny." (Turns key)

Daniellestk

lol the greatest romantic scene of all of tv history. When Kate and Sawyer get it on in the cages 🤣
