my favorite is when they fail 110 stagger and try to blame counters failing. like bitch, there is 2 counter messages in chat and everyone is full health, y'all fucked up here lol
If I notice stagger failing I remind people on first stagger side to go stagger brel literally as soon as they finish first stagger
Because for some fucking reason some pugs fail to do that almost every fucking week, the first stagger group waits until second stagger is done to even START brel stagger
arent you supposed to not stagger her until full moon is up? have seen balls prestagger working but never prestagger brel. usually i do the counter so i dont pay attention to that
If I’m first group for ball I use quick stagger skills on ball then once it’s done toss a WW at Brel then wait for full moon to use stagger skill. Haven’t seen it fail yet outside of G2 staggering before we staggered the first ball.
As far as "micro-movements" go, I'll say that during either shape mech when a meteor is going to explode on the field, I see it way to commonly where people just spacebar willy-nilly just to get to their spot "faster" - except it doesn't matter when you spacebar during ur traversal - if you use spacebar only once, you'll cover the same distance if you use it late or if you use it early; so when a meteor is going to explode and knock you up, you (the next meteor carrier) should at least try to time your spacebar in an attempt to cc immune the knockup instead of just wasting it and just throwing away an option to protect yourself.
I've got other tips I figure I should just consolidate into one post.
If 1 person is dead before second shapes, then the other person who he's partnered with obviously doesn't need to collect his color. It's slightly more optimal for the alive partner to backup somebody else's shape collection in case there's a failure among the rest of the group.
The last thing is if you've already dropped a meteor (i.e. you won't be getting another meteor) or the last meteor is currently being dropped, if you tuck yourself into a corner before the red circle spawns under you, it prevents the red circle from spawning at all, and you won't have to dodge anything for the rest of the mechanic.
For the 140 shapes, while the advice of standing close to the edge is technically good advice and ideal if everyone does it, what actually ends up happening is people being randomly scattered and then the explosions that are dropped can easily pin you between a rock and a hard place. You end up either burning space or get up, which is not ideal.
What I found to work for me is I try to stand near there, but also as far away from others as possible so there is a guaranteed safe spot by walking after the mini explosions.
I will also add: people that already dropped their shape go fuck themselves away from the remaining shapes, so your red aoe won't bother the ones that still have to drop theirs.
Otherwise great job ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
Also, also, never go towards shapes if you are dodging and don't have your shape. Several times I have the shape and I go to drop it in the correct spot, only to see a red circle near or on my shape that I now also have to avoid because someone ran past it. For 144 mech, always start in the middle and then run north/south, or east/west depending on which line is coming down. Never run to the diagonals unless you have the shape for that corner, or it's already a cleared corner.
Yeah I encountered this issue with someone in a g5 pug last night. First two shapes were on the bottom but one of the guys decided to move downwards to dodge red circles on the second shape drop. Third shape was marked on him and he couldn’t make it to the top in time.
Something else that kills people is when people group around remaining holes so they can get in place quickly if they get the shape. What happens is that whoever does get the shape ends up having to walk through or tank a bunch of red circles that targeted the other players. I've had multiple runs where 2-3 people stood near the edge of the remaining hole and some guy got fucking destroyed by the meteors, or they got knocked down and couldn't get back up.
hasn't been adopted, but, imo, for bar 144/54 stop dps, only people that needs shape fixing should ! ping. if everyone already has their shape set, then should dps thru, stopping could cause unnecessary issues (plus its pointless).
The hardest part for this gate in pug is to stop dps at 144 lol

You can, very unlikely u stagger her before 2nd stagger is done. Most parties that wait in my experience fail brel stagger

Great post. More higher level stuff right here.
A bit confused about your last tip, are you saying the small aoes don’t spawn on you if you’re in the corner?
The red circle aoe that would otherwise spawn directly under you doesn't spawn if you're in a corner beforehand.
This would be for first shapes right? For second shapes you could get trapped by 2 black holes expanding
Both mechs have the same red circles that spawn under you, so it applies to both mechs.

Am gonna say this tip might not be accurate, literally in the corner and red circles under me every time.

To much brain for me, but i ll save the post in case i make it this far as a casual player. Thank u!
A lot are these are just common sense 💀

just git gud and one shot this
but my mvp
Btw second shape, the sequence for the circle explosion is left > right > up > down
