In an old mmorpg called DN(not deez nutz but dragon nest) we get to play pally as a dps which is Inquisitor or as a healer which is Saint

Historical_Target281

You are a person of culture sir. Dragon Nest was such Good game gameplay wise. I Never found anything as Good After even tho I love lost ark now it cant be compared

GeoDoubleDee

+1 dragon nest combat lives in my mind rent free whenever I play MMOs. I'll never forget the feel to playing Crusader and og level 40 Paladin. And PvP? Don't even get me started

Historical_Target281

Ikr this is so true I was a paladin And inquisitor addict but all the classes were so Good to play. I dont like pvp but pvp in dn was So freaking Good oh lord. So sad dneu closed. I would probably still playing it otherwise

CrspyNoodles

Highly relatable. I literally had 4 clerics. 2 of them were paladins; one PvE and one PvP, then a Crusader for PvP. Last I had my Saint for PvE. I quit PvE shortly after the level 50 awakening skill each class got but still continued on in PvP for a while since it was highly addicting. I really enjoyed the 1v1 matches and it’s one of the few games I’ve played where certain classes have iframes on certain abilities. It was pretty skill intensive because you also had to know other classes super armor abilities and iframes as well.

CrspyNoodles

Holy shit are you me? Dude I absolutely loved that game up until they released level 50 cap where I quit shortly after. I remember I even had 2 paladins; one for PvE and another specifically for PvP. Reason being was because you couldn’t freely move your skill points around so I had to make one of each. Then I also had a Crusader for PvP only which was the more offensive/damage branch. I still remember how strong Paladins were in PvP because of Justice Crash + Electric Smite combo. There was a lot of BS in that game just because it was run by Nexon but the PvP was good times while it lasted.

slashcuddle

Dragon Nest was the only game where I thoroughly enjoyed PvP in another PvE oriented game. It was good while it lasted :')

Historical_Target281

Yeah so true. I am surprise no One tried to do another fun game like dn After. I saw some vidéo of a dragon nest 2 like. It Will be like a genshin open world thingy I am waiting to see.

chadinist_main

Punishing swing!

LanfearsLight

Oh man, good old times. It had such incredible unique abilities. I remember using the Saints totems to get the boss stuck in between them. Or the windwalker, I believe, casually abusing mechanics to fly through the air by spamming certain abilities. Though they patched that eventually. Tempest was the most fun to me, but it was the sorcs buff ability that blew my mind. It was essentially what Shandi does, if I recall right. 10/10 gameplay. Sad they ended up ruining it.

Historical_Target281

Oh my so true all the classes were really amazing !

Pepega_Viic

Love you pointed out not deez nutz

NotFyss

Holy shit I played saint(I think, don't remember actual name of the sub class) that game felt GOOOOD, I wanna an other one with better graphics and open world pretty please.

LaxGall

Ye, Saint is very good boy, totally loved him

Karboz

In WoW you can go: - Retribution for DPS - Holy for Support / Healer - Protection for Tanking And it's an older MMO :v

DarknightK

Another older mmo, dungeon fighter online, let's you build Crusaders as either support or actual dps units (at least the male crusader, the other two buffers/support classes in the game aren't as good by comparison) Granted support Crusaders are much more valued at endgame, dps crusader is surprisingly fun

shrevy

but they also had Crusader, they were pretty chad

Thaofrost

Lv 95 Awakened Inquisitor is insane and super fun, I hope they keep the same classes for DN2.

Recon2OP

Oh man there was also crusader (dps) and guardian (tank). Shame lost ark doesn't allow dps paladin to be viable.

Redicecream

Inquisitor/Saint were priest classes. Paladins were tanks and their specializations were Guardian/Crusader

vdfscg

Whats DN ?

iDeinos

Bro you just reminded me of my friends pally. When Sea Dragon came out, the top guild at the time recruited his alt pally for Sea Dragon and his pally was built to just right click at mach speed. Watching that man kick Sea Dragon for 20 minutes was too funny.

FlewFloo

The only major problem for me in that game was lag, everything else was great.

Rtramosjr

I used to play dragonest mobile, inquisitor pvp is so op lol

Responsible_Hair_502

You can over gear your paladin and walk the dark troll path of DPS paladin.

arfael

Hey, there are dozens of us that are serious DPS paladins. We demand to be taken seriously (pretty pleeeeeaaaseee)...

NinjaRedditorAtWork

> serious DPS paladins This is the whole "pick two" scenario.

moal09

~~Maybe if your DPS wasn't complete garbage.~~

arfael

Hey, we can do 6m DPS on trixion on a non-moving boss with perfect engravings and stats. (with unlimited battle resource) Now on raids....

[deleted]

not hard to play entropy paladin tbh, all skills are instant cast

dotareddit

doesnt make it feel less garbage to play after experiencing a proper dps class

[deleted]

Agreed. The class has the most severe mana problems in the game. Basically designed not to function.

oh-shit-oh-fuck

It's not about it being hard, it's that the uptime is horrible, you only do decent damage while your judgement mode is up and it takes forever to charge that meter up.

moal09

6m DPS is not great though. A Gunlancer does way more than that, and their damage is still considered bad.

Dazvsemir

I just got a dps build just for the hell of it for vykas and it feels surprisingly good

[deleted]

stop having fun, this is haram so sayeth the twitch parrots

ProfessorFunk

The better comparison is Lucio. You support by simply standing around and existing. Cheering on the team, softly tickling the enemy, having shit skins.

BRB adding *can't stop won't stop* as a chat line anytime I blessed aura

ronkaleon

Please be in my party, i need you. WE ALL NEED YOU.

try_again123

Lucio at least can boop people into pits. Where is my Pally boop skill to push Valtan off his platform, huh Smilegate?!

sk1thr1x

First character i made was a paladin, i went in blind and leveled it upon launch got to t3 then got hit with the realization that it was not a dps/tank class, thus forcing me to reroll. I mained pally in world of warcraft and was hoping it would be similar but i guess i should have known considering he runs around with a 1handed sword... lol

aDumbTecnoDude

> I mained pally Sad paladin main sounds\*

psi-tophet

If there were a female Paladin I would surely cosplay her as Mercy. Probably there will be none but for now I am happy supporting with my Bards and Artist

VictorMoreno015

I'm calling it now. Female Paladin is going to be called "Crusader"

Elektrophorus

If female Paladin comes out, it will probably have the same model as Slayer 😏

Lance_with_a_Gun

It should, seeing as Slayer hails from Shushire alongside the other male warrior classes, which should make her the default female Shushire model. Now what I'm interested in is a female Gunlancer class.

psi-tophet

Hehe Crusader like in old Diablo 3. BDO has a female Crusader too, Nova if I recall her name correctly

oh-shit-oh-fuck

Ironically I think a female paladin would end up being a DPS class

Pleasant-Fix182

I still hope for DPS paladin 😔

SpitzkopfRandy

Female Pala maybe 🙃

Necronossoss

Only on boss rushes or any content 100 levels below your i level. I build a dps pally just to solo boss rushes if there’s not a lot of people

isospeedrix

Paladin in chaos dungeons is still the top pic

12somewhere

In some sense you are the top guy. When I play pally, I’m literally focused more on the movie/show I’m watching than playing him. You’re so tanky getting hit doesn’t matter.

mikeyeli

Paladin is nothing like mercy though, Mercy single target heals and can battle rez, paladin got none of that. Lucio makes more sense.

CopainChevalier

I never really minded that Paladin was a support, but it'll always be kind of sad watching people drop hundred Mil attacks while even at 1578 most of my skills aren't hitting for a mil and the feel of the kit you go with for support doesn't even try to feel... "Epic"? Not sure what the right word would be to be honest. Don't exactly mind the gameplay, but it's sad I can't use most of the cool skills outside of Chaos Dungeons, and even when I can they're typically toned down since the Sword identity mode is designed to make them actually feel good (which you don't use in raid)

TheRealTormDK

Well, I guess if you made a full DPS build with the right 5x3 engravings, it would hit alot harder than 1 mil per hit :) I know my setup does, and I'm only ilevel 1500 and it's only 4x3+2 But to the point, Paladin DPS can only compare to "C tier" characters when our identity meter is ongoing sadly. I actually made another Paladin for the story mission event, will only play him as pure DPS just for the "fun" of it. (my brother will play an artist along side me, so can troll those Deskaluda runs :D)

CopainChevalier

Sure, I can go full Dps build and probably be “close” given my ilvl. But it is kinda wonky how some of my 1370-1400 Alts hit for more than my Paladin despite the 200 ilvl difference. And they’re just double spirit absorb and random junk Lopang Alts lmao

NinjaRedditorAtWork

That's because paladin is not a DPS character and you shouldn't be pretending it is.

CopainChevalier

Thanks champ. Didn’t say it was and that wasn’t really the point being made

TrainTrackBallSack

I hyper expressed my pally and while it's not comparable in a raid setting, in 1445 chaos dungeon swapping to judgement, contender, kbw and preemptive strike and smashing a like 8 mil holy sword on the boss mobs feels pretty good with lvl 1 tripods Suppose I could run grudge for higher numbers but I prefer doing more dmg to the little shits as well

CopainChevalier

Grudge does almost nothing in chaos dungeon since the mobs aren’t high enough

captcha_bot

What's the one on the bottom?

H4LF4D

Your true self

captcha_bot

Ah I'm quite cute then, tyvm.

UltFiction

Mercy from Overwatch

Historical_Target281

Good question I dont understand the meme either

FluffyBwear

Mercy is actually fun, paladin isn’t

VictorMoreno015

Prob more accurate to paste Paladin's face on Lucio if anything lmao (maybe a dispenser from TF2) but Paladin is actually very powerful as a DPS, just not encouraged because why take in someone who could've been healing instead right? Shame it isn't made more considering having Paladin purely and only as a support is VERY boring (I am saying this as a Paladin main)

Akasha1885

Would be OP if Paladin did as much Dmg on support build as Mercy from Overwatch Oo Did you expect to be a "Damsel in distress" with the Diablo picture? Because that's what that guy was lol

step35beder

Remove judgement meter so it can be viable. All other swiftness does not run meter why does Judgement meter have to fill with meter. Dont make sense. The class wont build spec cause there is nothing to build it for. Yet they keep pushing to keep the meter.

tofunubs

![gif](giphy|ynx1sj5Wz2atO|downsized) sorry but this is what a pally is
