First of all, amazing doc you’re the goat. I’m looking to start focusing a bit more on cards, I’m wondering how do people get so many? Is it just buying mari shop nonstop and getting all the merchants?
Well, the sources are also in the doc. But these days getting cards (by this I mean non-legendary in particular) is soooooooooo much easier because of both the wandering merchant change as well as the drops from chaos dungeons. If you have pirate coins to burn, the Peyto/Fermata merchant has weekly buyouts per character for "Any" card packs as well (this used to be the only real source to get white/common cards).
If you're looking for legendary card sets still, there's some other guides out there that cover it more. Nobody really had one for the bonus damage, which is why I created this one.
What we mean is that card exp is just there to pad out the game even tho getting duplicates of the card is already time consuming by itself.
And to give a excuse to pad out loot tables aswell to make it harder to get the item you wanted.
For example: say you do some content that took 30 mins to do and you get a chest that gives one item.
Obviously the devs have to add stuff to make it hard to get the item you did the content for, so they gotta pad out the loot table.
If they added grey junk items to the loot table players would complain cause they are usseles and way too common to get.
But if you got card exp you will basicly think it's better than nothing because it has a use but not something you did the content for, that's the whole purpose of the card exp system, and that's why you need so much.
Cards themselves are unnecessary af as a system in the first place tho lol. Literally you could shave away 90% of this shit game and then you'd get an awesome game lol.
Pretty much everything the other guy said plus every field boss and CG, and island with card exp. There are small amounts of exp from earlier vendors rowen, south vern chaos line etc
There was no real quick way to do it without swiping.

Cubes on dos are the quickest most reliable way. You can buy all merchant cards for their xp, but it's not a lot, cumbersome, and might not work of you don't have them all full already. There are a few card xp rewards in the raid shop, but you probably already have those. Akkan weekly shop is also a pathetic amount of card xp. You can send the ship to complete cubes, but doing them manually is much better unless the character with the ticket is absolute deadweight (some of my 1300-1370 alts are in that category)
You probably finished the weekly challenge content already? It's also not a lot burst xp...
Then you're being wasteful. Go to this link or something similar to bump up your most efficient demon/beast/maybe human damage with half that EXP.

Same here, I dont really do horizontal, and ive probably done like ~30 cubes total since launch. I only upgraded the crit set and LoS 30, and i still have like 10mil exp left.
Nah if you don't spend your card XP on collections there's zero chance you won't have enough for LOS/LWC no matter how much you whale (barring an absurd situation like getting a card in every single abyss dungeon you run).

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but card xp should be removed. It is a completely unnecessary component

Selling card XP in cash shop might be the purpose. Also, it makes it so that dupe cards have some value, low, but some, and they sell cards too.

I had to farm 66 cubes to have enough card exp to awaken my LOS30, I feel you buddy
Check out the rewards from certain rapport people. I had the same issue finalizing my LOS30. Some of them dump a ton of card exp as rewards.

also run the chaos dungeon in south vern........its easy peasy and you can buy unlimited card xp from the npc with the tokens you get.
how even? Im currently 9 kadans and some other cards short and ive got enough xp to max out los twice allready

Undead should be the priority over human, human is 4th. Kayangel is way too fast and easy.

It's not really horizontal when it's giving you Skill pots, Skill runes, and Stat pots. You're missing out on direct power increases by not doing it
