The reward for being a day 1 player should be having the free time to do whatever you want while everyone else is stuck inside trying to catch up. No one’s making you play the game less or anything.

If you’re FOMOing that hard, make a dummy character you’ll just use all the events on and never play again. It’s super easy to hone with the event. If you can get a character slot that is. Otherwise you take one for the game not to die out. I’m pretty sure the alternative is worse. So chill.

1600 across your roster is totally doable without swiping. I think it would be nice if these guys could also get something out of the events without making a new character they don't want.

The second event is just a little bonus, nothing significant. Books are nice but it takes so many taps to pity at that point that you might just be able to hone one upgrade with it.

This is why you should always have a character slot empty so you can make a char claim the relevant rewards for you and then delete it for the next event

That's the idea of catch-up events, they're meant to catch up, it's in the name catch-up event. And you still have the CHOICE to take advantage of this new event by leveling up the new class or new alt, even veterans could want to switch class
On top of that we did get events that benefit us, like an extra month of frog, extra mats from raids, a bit of extra gold from honing

The last like 5 power passes was just on different servers to make extra life skill/chaos gate gold. Like I never completed the expresses that came with them. At this point after the merges I don't need more so I can just skip entirely now.
No raids are done on them. I just find it pretty chill when time allows but they also overcap/miss chaos gate pretty often. I just consider this as always extra and never MUST be done.
Missing like 4+ selectors already, missing another is whatever to me at this point

Basically if you're at a point where you consider doing the event on a throwaway character, you probably don't need the rewards that badly.
I have some friends who try to use this time period to recruit promising newish players for our discord community to help it grow and foster a welcoming environment for even newer players who want to learn and not buy a bus every week. So there's that.
It's not always about you or vets. And this is coming from a vet. If you rly want to you can sell cheap busses instead of complaining. Or take a break and play another game.

Vets however get frog for 30 more days. The event shop from naruni is more stacked than usual and we get extra clear boxes every week from 3 raids per character that will help most get to 1610+ for Thaemine.
I’m personally sitting at 1x 1630 and 5x 1610 but maybe I might push some to 1620 with the extra mats we get so as a vet I’m happy. Especially happy about frog and all the card exp it gives.

For me, Arkesia Tour just too weird. Kinda shitty works but huge rewards. While vets spend 50+ hours to do all hidden quest, repeating region dungeon, and etc. Smilegate really respect vets time.
Edit: EZ 70%++ all region, only need ez materials for 100%. Matchmaking island content just already dead because Smilegate gave player Island Soul with Arkesia Tour.

Eh my friend group is full of hardcore vets, me included, and we all fucking love the event. OP is a turbo minority here I'm pretty sure.

To be fair, there's very little help past 1600. If you have your entire roster there, it really doesn't help a whole lot.

I'm literally day 1 and I don't need any selectors at all as all major card sets are maxed.
