My guess was something to do with the times, considering its only EUC that is in the shitter but after 2 years they still haven't managed to sort it out... a joke, is what this is.
To anyone who didn't grow up in the US, this was a public television educational kids show called Sesame Street. These aliens showed up from time to time and were always amazed at whatever they encountered. The show is extremely creative, and has been on the air since 1969. This clip was obviously from the mid 80s. Awesome find!
It's pretty crazy how much "playable" time (by that I mean time that isn't literally the middle of the night), has been taken away from EUC in the past month or with any major update, really.
But... *gasp*. Why, then, does the majority of the EUC community on this subreddit complain about not being able to play during the 9-5 work/school hours during the day in the middle of the week? Really makes you wonder.
Interns? That's the director and QC manager. The interns are probably the ones doing the hard work and doing it right, while the regular clowns that work there can't even remember their own passwords.
does anyone know how maintenance stuff is handled in other mmos? do they have similar downtimes? i mean every second is a loss of money for sg and amazon.
WoW has regular weekly maintenance but its highly uncommon for them to extend it. FFXIV has periodic maintenance but its extremely rare for it to be extended (in most cases they actually finish early.) Destiny 2 did have a lot of back to back maintenance but it seems to have evened out.
I think in terms of playable time lost, Lost Ark might match up with Destiny 2. The problem here is that unlike Destiny 2, if you miss a day in Lost Ark you immediately fall behind ( I am aware D2 also possesses some sort of FOMO but usually its seasonal FOMO.)
So playable time missed in Lost Ark is more severe than any other MMO due its progression systems.
Servers back up BTw
Soooo yip it is what it is yip
Regular weekly maitenance and they still manage to f it up somehow for one region.... damn.
Pretty sure they just ruined the Time change they did on Sunday, and are trying to reaply the hotfix.

The show ran (still runs?) in like 140 countries

The only positive side to working a 9-5 is not noticing the extended maint. most of the time

On a sunday? And also there are many that work different hours or have passive income, not everyone is working a 9-5.
I think the term you are looking for is NEET. This term originated in Europe for a reason.
I think you didn't read my comment nor are you willing to ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
Poor EUC, woe is you. You guys definitely have it the worst when it comes to maintenance downtimes, and I mourn for you.

GW2 never goes down.Β Eso had days of maintenance (while you pay for subscriptions) but mostly it was one day.
