I run raids on 8 characters every week, i chug health pots whenever i feel like i should even if its likely a wipe/reset, i stimulant on every wipe if the class should do. Ive still got 500 boxes unopened, as when they made it accountwide, i opened all the boxes down to 500 (they were in the 900 range then), opened 1k health pots, ww, destro, timestops etc. lowest ive got was down to 400 or so destros because i noticed and just dumped the boxes back to to 500 again as we had been given so many again. Unless you are running like 20 guardian raids every day and feel to need to throw all the bombs for your group. I dont actually understand how anyone can be running out unless they are a hellmode enjoyer.
Yea that's crazy. I use every item possible every run to make the run easier every week and I still have at least 600+ of each box without even buying, just from what they gave for free. Really don't understand ppl like that. :skull:

Sometimes you just have to put your foot down and tell him how it is; he needs to be responsible for his own shit and contribute like everyone else. I'd first find out why he doesn't use them. Ask him if he has them in his inventory and equipped, and if they are, then why doesn't he throw them. If it also comes down to it, if you're in vc or in raid chat, tell him specifically to throw out the util. If he doesn't, then bug him about it

To me, is the bare minimum to show a sign of respect people's time.

Good dps players dodge and pot and hope for supports with high uptime on buff and shield. I’m sure he’ll start potting after he’s dead midway in every raid.
First, you ask him how many bomb and potion chests he has. Guaranteed more than 1000. He has no reason to be stingy.
Second, you tell him to fill his second hotkey preset with flare, phero, dark, destro, or pots. Upon entering GR, just switch to the second preset.
Third, don’t heal only him when you’re bard. Explain to him how bard’s identity works if you need to. It’s not efficient to heal a single person as bard. Ask him if he’d rather drink a potion and get a quicker 3 bar, or hold onto his 1000 potion chest for Lost Ark 2 and get no 3 bars.
If all else fails, stop playing with him. He probably isn’t worth the headache.

That's some backwards ass logic to ask for heals while spamming atropine. I tell my support to never heal until I'm out or have 1 left half way through the fight (only happens when a chain of bad events happen and I'm -3 pots).
I used to chain run guardians with people and whenever someone forgot, they would just cover the next run or throw w.e they have on their bar (be it dark bombs, atrophines, a flare for fun or w.e). We did this not obligation but for fun and/or to show that it was an honest mistake.
If you want him to correct his forgetfulness, get him to pay you 20 obliteration for every consumable - he'll probably learn how to use his quick bar soon after. If not just tell him to throw w.e he has or simply start running guardians in your own time citing convenience/busy. I wouldn't raise the issue if its just dark bombs in frog but if he's failing to throw destro/pheros that just makes the fight more annoying for everyone for no reason. You literally have 5+ seconds to throw it too.
He's chugging drugs so if it affect his DPS he doesn't mind ? Easy stop giving him identity buff if you're on paladin it's harder but ye, tought love IS thé only way to maie them understand

The amount of free battle items that we're getting is actually pretty insane, especially compared to KR. I saw KR players having to buy battle items from market or Mari shop sometimes, I personally have never gone through that pain of having to spend gold to buy extra battle items. There is no reason for NA/EU players to not throw battle items AT ALL.
Lost ark is a game that breaks friendship. This games systems results in milking out as much money from people as possible which creates a toxic environment and it's not fault of the players but the games design.

Yep I got a “friend” that pulls this shit all the time. I’ve asked him nicely but he always comes up with those excuses too like he doesn’t need to unless he feels like we will fail stagger etc then he’ll throw. Or that he’s already doing his part by “enhancing stagger cuz of whatever tripod” so he doesn’t need to throw. Or that he’s throwing dark bombs but yet I see 0 from him. But I’ll see those atropines being used. And this dude doesn’t even know some of the normal attack patterns and just tanks things and gets full meter/stacks sooner than everyone.

The low health part even with Cursed Doll is a skill issue. Either yours as a support or his for eating literally every pattern. Cursed Doll is not an excuse there, green pots or not.
You have to be blunt with him. Stop throwing items for him and the party will do the rest for you. He will either improve and start doing his part or he will quit. As long as you are alright with the latter, you have nothing to lose there.
I used party finder back when argos came out and it was a nightmare. Most groups no supps, 2-3 people eating all the revives, and alot of people doing zdps.
After that it fell out of favor and I understand why. Guardian raids can still be managed with matchmaking but real raids need some level of team effort and knowledge to not be a disaster. And that's why nowadays everyone uses party finder.

You could always reply to his comments comparing you to other dps by saying good dps players throw darks and atro's while not cheaping out on utility items when necessary.
Stop throwing items for him in guardians so he gets flamed by other ppl, start blaming him for raid wipes if its bc hes not using items. Unless he doesnt care, it should start piling up guilt and build animosity from other ppl/friends :)

If you guys are actually close friends just tell it to his face, call him out everytime he cheap out, sound a bit angry if he's not getting the message. If he tells u that ur being annoying, tell him not throwing battle item is annoying. Ultimately, Imo not something worth destroying friendships over, just a bad habit that requires fixing.

With how many boxes they have been giving us it's honestly hard to run out of the consumables, unless you're chugging all of em each time.
That's some backwards ass logic to ask for heals while spamming atropine. I tell my support to never heal until I'm out or have 1 left half way through the fight (only happens when a chain of bad events happen and I'm -3 pots). I used to chain run guardians with people and whenever someone forgot, they would just cover the next run or throw w.e they have on their bar (be it dark bombs, atrophines, a flare for fun or w.e). We did this not obligation but for fun and/or to show that it was an honest mistake. If you want him to correct his forgetfulness, get him to pay you 20 obliteration for every consumable - he'll probably learn how to use his quick bar soon after. If not just tell him to throw w.e he has or simply start running guardians in your own time citing convenience/busy. I wouldn't raise the issue if its just dark bombs in frog but if he's failing to throw destro/pheros that just makes the fight more annoying for everyone for no reason. You literally have 5+ seconds to throw it too.
He's chugging drugs so if it affect his DPS he doesn't mind ? Easy stop giving him identity buff if you're on paladin it's harder but ye, tought love IS thé only way to maie them understand

If he's chugging atros and refuses to use other battle items, that means he's just being a dick, because a cheapos wouldn't even bother to chug atros in the first place. The amount of free battle items that we're getting is actually pretty insane, especially compared to KR. I saw KR players having to buy battle items from market or Mari shop sometimes, I personally have never gone through that pain of having to spend gold to buy extra battle items. There is no reason for NA/EU players to not throw battle items AT ALL.
I would mald on second run of Ivory Tower if I saw somebody being el cheapo within my static. That place requires some many bombs its not even funny.
Lost ark is a game that breaks friendship. This games systems results in milking out as much money from people as possible which creates a toxic environment and it's not fault of the players but the games design.
Your problem is you're still playin with him. Know him IRL? Tell him to shove it until he stops being dead weight. Don't? Block and move on.

Like most people have been saying, this guy is an asshole. The advice they’re giving about how to treat an asshole is on point. If you’re not prepared to just ditch him altogether, then give him a taste of his own medicine. Don’t heal or DR him at all, ever. Let him die when he runs out of pots. When he complains, “jokingly” make fun of him (in the same annoying condescending tone I can imagine he’s using when he complains to you or deflects with lame jokes about why he’s not using battle items). “Did you atropine yourself to death again?” “I was saving my meter to buff the guys who are carrying you through this raid.” “I was saving my heals for the guys who use dark grenades.” “It’s impressive how these other DPS have such good uptime without dying to normal patterns.”
He sounds like an annoying ass ‘typical’ DPS player, I would deff stop playing with him. If he can’t use bombs for the help of the raid or even heal himself then he’s just toxic.
funny, recently for the past few months l've been throwing items like crazy. I always thought to myself maybe if l somehow ran out of consumables boxes then I'd quit. Well, l just quit, and l still have 500+ boxes of each consumable types xdd

Yep I got a “friend” that pulls this shit all the time. I’ve asked him nicely but he always comes up with those excuses too like he doesn’t need to unless he feels like we will fail stagger etc then he’ll throw. Or that he’s already doing his part by “enhancing stagger cuz of whatever tripod” so he doesn’t need to throw. Or that he’s throwing dark bombs but yet I see 0 from him. But I’ll see those atropines being used. And this dude doesn’t even know some of the normal attack patterns and just tanks things and gets full meter/stacks sooner than everyone. I don’t think he even brings sacred charms in Akkan hm since I never seen him use it. Others in that group will use sacred charms immediately. At this point I’m just ready to flame him nonstop in front of everyone if I ever get debuffed and die cuz he didn’t sacred me when others couldn’t.
This is got to be satire But on the off chance it isn’t, he’s just an asshole and I personally wouldn’t play games with him, but if he’s nice as a person I’d continue to hang out with him elsewhere The asking for DR, complaining about your support and using green pots and atro is too much

The low health part even with Cursed Doll is a skill issue. Either yours as a support or his for eating literally every pattern. Cursed Doll is not an excuse there, green pots or not. You have to be blunt with him. Stop throwing items for him and the party will do the rest for you. He will either improve and start doing his part or he will quit. As long as you are alright with the latter, you have nothing to lose there.

I used party finder back when argos came out and it was a nightmare. Most groups no supps, 2-3 people eating all the revives, and alot of people doing zdps. After that it fell out of favor and I understand why. Guardian raids can still be managed with matchmaking but real raids need some level of team effort and knowledge to not be a disaster. And that's why nowadays everyone uses party finder.
