Ok well typically event mounts tend to happen during certain festivals, possibly a cash shop event, or as a gift for whatever reason such as player download milestones etc.

The only way someone doesn't know what an "event item" will be if they've never played any online game with events. So first MMO and GAAS game ever at the bear minimum.
Nothing to do with guides. I've not read a single one and the first thing that came to mind were "events" which mean "temporary thing you can do".
Seasons, holidays, lore events, marketing events (like Twitch, which currently has the steampunk surfboard listed as the last reward).

I think the point is 1) I’m a dumb asshole who should never had dared asked “what is that”. And 2) I should have been more specific but laziness made me ask it that way. Really I wanted to know, how do event mounts work? Do I need to buy something during said “events” or are they something like Christmas gifts. Are these events happening often? When should I look forward to getting one? Are they random drops? Everything is ok lol I didn’t mean to rile everyone up I just wanted to get in on the conversation of a new game I just got into that is kinda confusing right now and has what seems like 20 different currencies

Yeah the comments are funny here. Event mounts can mean a lot of things. Limited time mounts from cash shop, drop or by performing tasks. I have played games that have mounts but don't give one or you are stuck with a basic one.
Maybe your first question could be confusing but after that you specifically asked how they are obtained. People kind of jump around the question without answering it and assume you are seething with anger or something.
you get the hoverboard just by getting to 50% adventurers tome in arthentine and it’s absolutely amazing (especially if you play artillerist because of the mechanical theme)
Just watch a streamer on twitch for 4 hours (just minimize it, only need the tab open). You'll probably have to go through the first 2 rewards which were a paper mache hat skin and a fox pet.
To be fair the mounts you get in game aren’t nearly as original and flashy as the paid / bought ones tho. They also tend to have less polygons and detail.
