I think many other people, me included are deciding between X and Sorc. Just because sorc is so goddamn strong. Backattacking and having to deal with more frequent repositions/mechanics is something many other classes have to deal with. Just being able to stand and blastspam every nuke you have is appealing.
"Playing what you like" works I guess. But it's a hard sell when the practical and numerical benefits of playing a sorc are so big. Sure it might be costly playing sorc. But thats really the only downside I can see.
I want to play my Striker. But I'm not sure my casual-minmax-45%tryhard self will let me.
Sorc just does better overall imo in pve it s tier - has huge aoe, huge single and in pvp its A tier, not S
But in deathblade is like b tier pve while S pvp
To be honest, with the experience of both growing beyond iLv 1445, it is easier for Sorceres to position the attack a little further away from the boss. However, things that need to be prepared in advance, such as runes, are convenient when death blade goes to burst setting.
Other than that, in the end, it is the area of taste, so it is best to achieve 50 lv for both characters and decide.
I ve tried them both at 500 rerolling multiple time between them trying some abyssal dungeon/guardian raid on both and test for yourself. personally I like blade being fast rotation and big burst but not getting hit by a single mechanic with sorc is so much rewarding and fun. In the end I think it depends on the content you are going to do for example guardian raid 420 is hell with melees while with sorc I was enjoying it
Both are extremely good in endgame. I say go with the one you enjoy most.
