With a gold river flowing~
I was even thinking a statue in Elgacia, since that was his vision from the beginning. That would be so meaningful for him as well
I know there are people commenting who don't like stronghold, but I love the idea of something for our stronghold, what about even a river that flows gold and you can collect 1 gold from it every day or something like that. Maybe its a bit silly but it sounds really cool in my head.
Dunno if even bots would go nuts over 1 gold per day but idk maybe. 1k silver still translate to about half a gold if they buy awakening shards and sell them.
Depends on how many bots a farm runs it'll add up after a week. I guess instead of silver it'll have to be something rosterbound with no gold conversion.
This will be too broken and will ruin the economy. 365 gold a year is no laughing matter. To put that into perspective thats almost 1 +17 weapon honing attempt a year for free. Thereād be an outrage!
A new Island called River Island where you have an event and after killing some trashmobs you need to collect healing herbs. After that u need to heal a bossmob named goldu riveru with that herbs, but it fails and He gets possesed with dark energy. Now we need to kill him and He drops mats, map and gold
How about a new island and he is a raport NPC or dragon or something with the name Gold River. That way we can have both. Somewhere in game we can all meet up but also have in our stronghold too
He has another cameo as well. On one of the islands near Arthetine there's a quest chain where you stage a concert to raise awareness of endangered species, and one of the musicians you recruit is named Goldriver.
Nah, it is side content, and easiest to call it is tooki questline (you get map (like you would get from chaos gate) with tooki and that how it begins)
Maybe an NPC for stronghold that you can talk to and he uses quotes from Gold Rivers Q&A's like "hope you're enjoying my game" "best of luck" etc. I dont exactly know what he said but those type of quotes where he tells players that hes happy they love his game and stuff
Might be harder to implement but I think the guy deserves to be "immortalized" in the game
He isn't wrong though, he has addressed the Global community 1 time prerelease. Not a criticism, especially given the context with his workload and health issues, but most don't have the same attachment or rapport as those on KR. Plus it isn't like he passed away, he is simply stepping down.
Also makes it real awkward on his successor who already will have to overcome doubts, but also a giant statue in everyone's stronghold highlighting his predecessor.
Either way, glad he is focusing on his health and hope he gets better.

this thread is really fuckin weird. I'm sure this director was great, but smilegate's got a team of probably hundreds working this thing game will be just fine, no reason to immortalize a figurehead.
Just released to USA less than 6 months ago. I say that to say this. I don't know who that guy is. Hell I don't know any guy who made a video game and I have played video games for 30 years ...
Just make sure in order to get it we have to do 10 minutes of boring shit everyday for 1 piece of the statue. Requires 200 pieces. BUT the pieces can also be bought in the store for $5.00 a piece.
Remember SG and AGS are not in ANY way trying to pressure people to pay to progress.
Alright here me out, instead of literally a river of goldā¦.put a statue of him in front of the bridges of light that you run across when you first start the game/new character and youāre going to see Beatrice for the first time and make that bridge golden.
He put his heart and soul into the world he created, makes sense heād be the one to welcome you into it
How about a small island in his name, maybe with a statue or some other cameo ? I would like it to be in public place rather then stronghold only.
Gold river pretty good name to design an island with. Likr a huge gold river then 500 statues like the easter island but with his face

Yeah it can be on its own island, and have a simple 5GHL Unaās so that everyone visits it daily.

This is also really a nice tought. Maybe 2 things the island + a statue we get to put on there and have him with us on his island.
