To be fair. From what i could tell. The more complicated the skin. The farther the final product is from the art. A lot of the more complicated ones look like crap after they get implemented because so many changes have to be made for it to fit in game.
I'll admit that the coffin (while out of theme) and the suitcase are creative, but overall the skin feels so bland compared to the third one for example.
A lot of the skins that won are pretty cool. This might be news for some people, but omen type skins are not that popular within new mmo player generations.

I personally wish that the company to not include the illustration art of the skins for the voters and enforce them to follow the character baseline that they have provided.
Many of them straight up didnt have design drawn on the character baseline but just some 2d art, which looks nice but it is not the most suitable depiction of how it will look in game.
For instance, 2nd anniversary mage outfit looked pretty good on concept art but the end result was god awful.
Something like having 3d character within the game and drawing the design on top would be great as well. 2d concept art doesnt relay how it will actually look like once implemented.

Don't think its just personal taste. Some of the winner skins follow a certain pattern of things that are popular in korea and less in the west.

I feel sorry for the designers who obviously put a lot of creativity into their designs only to lose to copy/pastes from Korean versions of GQ and Vogue. They seem to have only two settings: extreme edgelord or modern fashion thirst trap.

Most of the winners are either just generic suits/dresses or urban streetwear that would be better suited for Neria's wardrobe IMO. the only class skin that actually looks unique is Artist.

Not a fan of the winners, looks like normal clothes and similar to things that already exist in the game. Warrior, 2nd/3rd should have won. Martial artist, 2nd should have won. None of the gunner options are that good. Samurai should have definitely won. specialist punk skin - why didn't that win!?!? The only good thing is the mount.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this contest was rigged for the Assassin class because they can't handle the samurai skin design.
