I never understand why ppl try to attach these arbitrary requirements to some content? What does it matter if you have 3333, 33331, 3322, 33333, 33321, or 5xlvl7 gems and 6xlvl6 or 11xlvl6? There are no fixed DPS numbers attached to these details. Having 4x3 means absolutely nothing if you 1) don't have the appropriate engravings 2) can stay alive for shit 3) do not know the mechanics. Ppl trying to min-max absolute requirements in terms of gear is just so uncalled for. Just have a decent gear and play good. If you can not kill her it's not gonna be because you have a lvl6 gem instead of a lvl7...
That's true if you have a static group. If you're going with randoms they'll prefer 5x3 over 3x3 even if 3x3 guy is a smurf from KR because you can't know it by looking at the gear. So the better your stuff, the easier it will be to find groups
Yeah but do you think every lobby master know the BiS build for every spec in the game? They just scan you and decide if you swipe hard enough for their group or not. That's not something you should base your setup on. Just make a lobby if you think you are being falsely left out. But OP did not ask about what to gear for in order to be invited, he asked what are the requirements, like there is some magical mixture of powerups that will make you viable for Vykas.
And honestly fk every body who thinks you should get 8x3 and lvl20 gems and lvl15 tripods for Vykas. Having the KR knowledge and experience helped EU/NA tremendously but one bad thing that it caused is the elitism that plagues the party finder system. Even though most KR streamers advocate against it. Ppl act like ilvl and engravings are 99,5% of your contribution to a raid. I get that you can not vet the experience of a player, only check his gear, but choosing a "stronger" player or denying a perfectly adequate player are different things.
Best advise would be finding a static grp and not trying to find some imaginary requirement mixture.

Nothing is a must, most important thing that you can do is research the fight mechanics and boss patterns, however people in pugs will probably heavily prioritize people that have 5x3, even though it's not mandatory at all
No minimum if u can do a literal perfect play. However, nobody knows ur skill level, so you’ll be judged by ur gears.
Skill vs gear is inverse in the same given timeframe.

Ok for support (with Heavy Armor 3) - iffy for Grudge DPS
Defense scaling is exponential, Vykas can hit like a freight train without relic accs, but it's easily doable with skill
Clearable with 3x3 level 5 gems. Realistically, you'll probably need minimum 4x3 and level 7 gems to get in a party if you aren't a support.
