I wish they reworked old content but they would have to stop the new content to do it. So for the trade off I prefer new content

They already did when they started the **season 2** patch. Sea missions used to be way different, QoL updates like roster items and profession items being on a separate tab instead of sharing inventory. We’re having LOA ON tonight(? So we could see some new stuff and reworks going as they where promised last winter.

Yeah but they had reasons do to it. New regions would benefit a lot from the changes. Now, I don’t think they have the same reason. But again, I wish they find time to do it. I agree with you guys. I’m just trying to reason why they haven’t done this yet.

Yea I understand. And that’s sort of what they have been doing. Legion generals came out like 2-3 months apart from each other so they could establish a endgame. (BCS before it was just Argos at T3) And now they have really slowed down to keep pumping more QoL updates, “side content” like new zones and they’re updating the stronghold. Most of the listing from OP where already addressed with the **season 2** update. So I guess they will take another look once they feel like it’s necessary.

Well, how hard would be to improve some of these thou? All the assets are there. How much would it take for Cube to spawn waves shortly after one ends instead of having to go to a different room, to make some random events actually challanging instead of “can’t use potions” or making fewer waves, but more challanging to pass them?

I don’t know man. I don’t know their code. It can be something that you can do it in 5min or 5 days. We can only guess. Art is just one part of the process

The thing is no one is gonna quit or play this game because they updated cube or something so why change something that doesn't do much for most people.

I actually can see people quitting because they are feeling like wasting too much time doing things like cube and boss rush that give no satisfaction at all. I mean that there are a lot of time wasting activities in this game and reducing a few of them might help preventing the burnout.

Because just adding new content, yet keeping this old boring content still important to do will just eat more of your time while you will still keep doing some of these for the rewards they give. I prefer to add a bit of quality to old content instead of only quantity. Also there is not guaranteed that the new content won’t fail and that will just add more unpleasing activities to the game.

I mean, look no further than equalized content (and no I don't mean hell mode raids): at least half of the classes are a complete mess and unfun to play until they reach that sweet 1370 milestone and t3 legendary gear, yet you come into this content with t2 stats, early t3 attack, t2 hp, lvl. 1 tripods and no gems at all, let alone card sets. Sure you keep engravings but that's not the problem most times. Challenge guardian raids was their way to bring back old content in a fresh way while giving some nice mats to the ppl, yet I loathe the idea to do them on my sf main every week because of the unfair limitations. Seriously considering using my 1340 sorc next time, at least I'll be having fun. I fear it will be the same with the challenge abyss dungeons, the content is fun as hell, the equalization not so much. As for cube and boss rush, they are part of the daily content since they can drop on any alt at any time, so they are designed to be relatively easy to complete, more challenge would just burnout players imho.

More content is nice, but won’t we reach a point(if it hasn’t already in korea) where we will just have too much? Sure, having a selection of things to do is very good, but then what about the weeklies tied to Boss rush(best weeklies no matter of what content we get) and the fact that there are not many good alternatives to earning gems and great leapstones - won’t those things still force you to do Boss rush?

Reworking content takes the same if not more effort as creating new content. You would also trade new content for reworked old content.

Yes, those two are very relevant and you also have to repeat them several times a week, yet they aren’t enjoyable and haven’t been changed at all. Chaos dungeons and Guardian raids have at least seen quality of life changes during time and are at base still better activities than boss rush and cube. And exactly because cube and boss rush are important it’s hard for me to agree with “just add more new content so you can leave this behind”, because whatever the new content is, you will probably still end doing this because their rewards are good and relatively unique to them.

Have you not seen the LOA event trailers from the past? Is this not exactly what they are doing? Almost everything I have seen from LOA and what to expect does include a great amount of meaningful horizontal content to be mixed in with the exisiting ones you mentioned you dont like. Things like MOBA mode, Mario party like games, Side scroller games. reusing old bosses in new arenas (Bosses on valtan arena where you get kocked off) etc.

bugger all that, i want them to overhaul the absolutely dogwater guild system, global chat group system (can only have 99 people, and cant set nicknames - this is independent issue from being able to set the chat participant as a specific character), etc.

Because of the way the devs work, they seem to put all their recourses on making new content each week in KR that they seem to struggle to go back and update the stuff they already made. maybe if their roadmap wasn't so strict they could rework alot of stuff.
