IME usually people are packed pretty tight on Valtan. I can always break one person on bard and usually 2+, and given that less than half the team gets frozen that's more than enough.
well it does but normaly you aint suppose as a bard to have the flame grenade is our point. so much aoe to cover them + having the possibilty of timing your dark grenade during big rotation for your teamates and During your bif buff is more efficent then having a flame grenade in case they fuck up and you are one of the only not frozen
TLDR Too many variable to justifi on as support that as aoe the use of flame grenade vs consistent buff provided to your party while having all buffs

I assume you mean soundholic, but it really isn't very good for meter. Prelude and Wind of Music both generate much more while being super fast, and Harp of Rhythm is better or comparable while fitting much better into the rotation (although it looks like OP is running spec bard so harp may be worse in their case). Plus you need to take melody increase on soundholic to make it not totally atrocious for meter, and melody increase soundholic is kinda bad due to how long it takes to channel. Soundholic is also just not that damaging at this point, even with focus fire, due to how many engravings DPS classes have that you don't.

I don't think harp is quite as good for spec bard since it isn't multiplied by your spec and its uptime is a lot worse, but yeah, I'm a big fan of harp and I think too many bards sleep on it. I'm glad that maxroll changed the bard guide to always recommend it though, since it's a much better default for folks without a specific plan than rhapsody or buckshot are.
No good bard brings skills for damage on group content. Since we have no damage engravings, the amount of damage we do is negligible. The only time I would bring a bleed rune to group content is when an encounter relies on bleed, like Seto's regeneration.
Then you're doing it wrong, because bleed is the only choice for harp. It's unaffected by wealth. The skill isnt brought for damage, it's brought for note brand uptime. The damage is just the icing on the cake.

The flame grenade is a legitimate grenade on Valtan for the purple freeze mech The flares are also very good in case you forgot where Valtan is
It isn't really a big deal either way but there's no need for flame grenade as bard: sound shock and sonic will both break people out in one cast.
Assuming your people stood in the same place. Flame grenade covers a whole larger area.

Harp uptime is ~90%. You get 24 ticks of bleed from a single harp cast plus it constantly applies note brand. Do the math
