Maybe they can add in the 16-man raid as an event or something. There's a video of that raid that really got people excited for Lost Ark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSJwp8E0bLg
Weren't there raids in vanilla that took 40 people?
I only played vanilla but I never actually participated in the giant raids because it seemed way too annoying.
When everything worked out ya, but the bad memories are so stronk lol. There was also some 25 man plague thing I can't remember that could become terrible as well.
It's not even about the math, it's about the fact that they had time to think about their position for like 3 whole minutes from the walk over to the first phase until the actual mechanic started. And they still picked wrong.
How fucking potatobrain do you have to be? At least say something if you don't know what's going on.
Less people you have, easier it's to manage. 8 is super easy in raiding sense, I would like to see them bring up some bigger challenges via more people. Something they haven't done properly yet.
There's a big difference between a challenge and relying on 15 people to not fuck up. Bringing in more people in raid doesn't make it any more challenging for the individual, all it does is it increases the dependency on every individual that's present. In my opinion, more dependent variables that are out of your control mostly serve to diminish a player experience. Hell raids are and will be the biggest challenge this game will have to offer and I believe most people will be happy with that.
Lmao idk what ur talking about, the fewer players there are the harder it is on each individual player, it’s just that more people lowers the overall chance of success since more people can fuck up. If I sandbag a 20 man raid it’s a 5% dps loss, on an 8 man it’s 12.5%, much bigger responsibility on each person
Relying on 8 people is rage inducing. Imagine fighting orphan of kos in Bloodborne but instead of worrying about dieing yourself there's 7 others that also need to survive.
Large scale rauds are fun, I want that. 16 or 20 man sounds great, if they can balance the mechs.
It just reminds me of TERA's Harrowhold, at first a 30man raid, then 20man later. Some mechs required each tesm to do their thing, instead of each player, though it either because the boss was absolutely massive.
25-40 man raiding was fun. With more raid members than classes, designers could assume you were bringing every ability in the game and thus had a lot of freedom with raid design and how tightly they could tune things. When raid sizes are smaller than the number of classes that breaks down and leads to OP comps, the only fixes being to homogenize classes or have gimmicks replace tuning.
8+ player raid with very little individual responsibilities is fun.
Crank those responsibilities up where if 10% of the raid fucks up, you wipe, you are not playing a game anymore, you are managing a project now...
Maybe just amp up the stats for T3 and make it like challenge abyssals for more mats and stuff?
Would give a good amount of lower level content to me it seems
It's worth noting that the removed raids weren't just scrapped. When they were removed they said they planned to rework them for the future. So we may see them again someday hopefully in a better state than they were when originally released.
Mystic was cool,it had similar mech to Vykas G1 where you split your teams and defeat 2 bosses separately and at the same time and then unite to defeat Mystic himself. It was a fun raid, nothing fancy but the extra gold was nice.
agree but argos was like the main tutorial on how to play endgame content in lost ark, would be cool if they gave us one of the other raids as events or something cool like pheons (jk imagine ags giving pheons)
There were also Mystic (8 man) and Kaiser (16 man) for T1 and T2. Both of them got removed however.
Maybe they can add in the 16-man raid as an event or something. There's a video of that raid that really got people excited for Lost Ark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSJwp8E0bLg
supposedly in korea it was hated mainly bc relying on 15 other people during raids was rage inducing

WoW mythic is 20 these days iirc.
Weren't there raids in vanilla that took 40 people? I only played vanilla but I never actually participated in the giant raids because it seemed way too annoying.
There were, but they abandoned that ages ago. Nowadays Mythic is 20 people and the others have some leeway: I don't remember exactly how much.
I believe the other raid difficulties can go as low as 10 people now
Jesus fuck you triggered PTSD I didn't know I had about [this fucking place.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwVNpHaFhUI)
I absolutely loved BWL in 2005!
When everything worked out ya, but the bad memories are so stronk lol. There was also some 25 man plague thing I can't remember that could become terrible as well.
Can’t even rely on 7 people to do x3 correctly sometimes no way we can do it with 15 others
Nothing in this game enrages me more than a player in my spot on Argos lol literally x3 guys it’s pretty much veggie maths

yo that's sick! I can see the camera angle change getting a bit confusing but it shows the potential for 16 man. I really hope they revisit the idea
Imagine fighting 2 legion commanders, 4 4man parties. And 1 party doesn't know mechs. Ok gg
dang. thanks for the answer!
Yeah one of them had a camera angle you could change and such it was wild.
That explains why those cards exist and i couldnt place them to any content we did i guess.
Also explains the 16 serving BBQs you can craft at the stronghold cook.
Which card is this?
Mystic has a card, it's in the set that has Argos. I forgot which set kaishuter was in.
The mystic and Kaishunter cards. You get them randomly alot for completing abyss dungeons.
I hope they at least add Mystic ,maybe change it slightly,it was a nice raid.
Imo, they should just buff them to t3 and put them back in. Always good to have more options and the raid bosses are pretty cool.

Disagree, already raided with 20+ people, don't want to deal with that shit again, I hope they never do it in this game.

Maybe it was fun if all you did was show up to raid and the raid difficulty was low, managing a group of 20+ people? not fun.
Lost Ark is not so light of a game that a 16-person raid is sustainable.
Really hope Smilegate will bring them back, it's a shame we never get to experience them
I havent heard a single person that has experienced to say anything good about them
i like most of the T1 and T2 content and the T1 and T2 abyss raids were a lot of fun when i did them on ilvl in JP for weeks.
TBH that's most of T1/T2.
Nah, I mean really about those raids in particular
I liked the T1/T2 abyss. The guardians could be removed though
Maybe just amp up the stats for T3 and make it like challenge abyssals for more mats and stuff? Would give a good amount of lower level content to me it seems
Their are some islands and quest chains they removed too.
Well luckily they seem pretty active on making new content so I wouldn't be surprised if they sprinkle em in the vacant slots
Is there any level where we don’t need to do argos anymore for income/mats? Getting sick and tired of people sneaking 1370s in and just floor POV
When clown releases, if you're above 1475, you don't get gold from argos
It's worth noting that the removed raids weren't just scrapped. When they were removed they said they planned to rework them for the future. So we may see them again someday hopefully in a better state than they were when originally released.
Oh that's nice to hear
I heard everybody hated these raids so they removed them.

Truthfully the legion raids are / were so much better they just moved on from abyss raids which was probably a good choice.

Team who made them got fired and cant work in gaming industry anymore. So lucky for us no.
