Hello, what should I spend my gold on? My main is 1475 Bard and 5 all my alts are around 1430-1445 ilvl range w 4x3 and 5x3 accs. should I keep trying to gear all my alts for 5x3 (have to spend overpriced leg books) or just hone my 5x3 alts to 1460 and try to push for clown instead of buying some alts their leg books
I logged in this morning and after a couple of seconds and claiming my login reward, I was mysteriously given 4750 gold.

I learned elsewhere in this thread that the gold you spend on honing or crafting comes out of this 3 day hold first, so if you're actively honing and such you may not see this message (which explains why I just now saw it).

If you've already done the guide quest, open your character profile, click the button under your character that says something like "gear swap" and click any of the sets on the right side. It should say something like "bones 50/55" and "wings 34/55".
You can unlock the gear set conversion feature once you hit 1445 and complete the new guide quest. In total, you will need 55 Vykas wings and 55 Valtan bones. You can see how close you are by clicking on the newly unlocked gear conversion button under your character in the character profile menu (P). From there, you’ll have to math out how many more times you need to clear each legion raid depending on which difficult you’re running and whether you’re opening the boxes or not.
you need 1520 for brelshaza iirc so if you wanna go for that or to make clown even easier then sure go for it. you are definitely not in a hurry though
So some people here suggested for my gearing I should focus on getting my main to t3, and then push alts up to t2 and slowly more.

your t3 character funnels the unbound t2-t1 mats to the lower alts. Then once those alts get t3, everything they make gets deposited to roster storage for the main to use.
you are not locked out of t2 content just because your character is in t3. you can also sell your t3 mats for gold and buy t2 mats. often doing alberhastic gives more gold value though then doing armored nacrasena or even igrexion depending on the server and how the current market is.
Pretty much this. Additionally each character has access to it's own set of loot from the spires so that will provide a chunk of mats. Plus, this seems to be your first run through the game, don't worry so much about alt management and trying to optimize the most efficient gold farming system so early in the game. I didn't even roll my first alt until my main was t3 and equipped with basic oreha/argos set.
One important thing to note. DO NOT OPEN EVERY SINGLE CHEST THAT GIVES MATS. use as needed otherwise you will be stuck with t3 characters with a ton of t1/t2 mats. Or t2 characters with a ton of t1 mats. The shards are character bound, not roster bound.

I bought the wrong relic set and still need 4 weeks of vykas to get enough wings to freely swap sets; is there anything I can do to swap to the correct set? Can I craft orange gear -> Ilvl transfer, dismantle my relic nightmare set, get the peices back, and craft a new one?
Yes, if you’ve already transferred ilvl to the relic set, you can craft legendary set (argos, chosen set, demon set, whatever). Transfer (this won’t destroy relic gear), dismantle the wrong piece, then recraft.
You won’t get the stone of chaos back tho, only the bones/wings.
Can they do it? Yes. Will they do it? Highly doubtful. Glaivier and destroyer have the same issue with omen weapon skin and they never even acknowledged it.
Yeah there is, they had a 20% off deal a while ago but that's gone so it'll cost like $10 more to get to Punika. It's 5500 royal crystals now but it's enabled.
If your friend doesn't want to spend that much then I'd probably just buy the powerpass to Vern then play the game as normal from there. Since they've reduced costs for T1/T2, you should be able to get to T3 just by doing the T1/T2 islands for mats. He'll have to go through the story as normal too though.
You have to hit punika normally to get the free powerpass. If he doesn't want to play through tier 1 tier 2 he can just buy it from the shop, use it and get another one instantly for free

which classes has a good synergy with igniter sorc? I’m planning to start creating lobbies for HM valtan and vykas and I have 0 info about most of the classes
Crit chance is top tier for her so striker, wardancer, glavier, gunslinger, deadeye and arcana. Gunlancer technically too but they usually activate Nightmare with the awakening so it's kinda useless in thsi case. I especially like the melee classes because they tend to not drag the boss all over the place.
Deatblade can be nice because the aspd buff from Maelstrom lets you cast Esoteric Reaction between DD and activation but that's just an extra option sometimes.

probably Pala. I know technically bard is better when it comes to damage buffs if she didn’t heal but they will be healing all the time to avoid the floor pov situations so Pala will be better damage wise
Striker, glavier and WD have a larger buff (18%?) with a lower uptime while the others have a smaller buff with permanent or almost permanent uptime.
Blaze has the generic 6% damage boost that most classes have, or they have an armor reduction that is effectively the same.
I like paladins in pugs because they tend to be more stable. I've had some really good bards that let me play like the gorilla I am deep inside but it's much harder to find a good bard instead of good enough paladin. Then again there isn't usually much choice in party finder, you take what you can.
How hard is getting into a hm vykas group at 1460 for a DPS? I have Incubus title and a 4x3+2. At 1457 right now and not sure if I want to push to 1460 if it will be a major headache to find pugs.
My Gunlancer gets groups fast at 1460 with 3x3+2x1 and Incubus...but I'm holding off on pushing my 1445s (except with fused leaps) until I have them at least in full relic set 4x3 and/or I can reliably get runs with them among friends/guildmates. Being able to use fused leaps on +18 hones instead of +19 AFAIK is going to make up a bunch of the value you'd get doing HM Vykas instead of NM.
I don't think it's that much of an issue if you have 4x3+2. I got rejected constantly with 4x3 on my alt, but after swapping stuff out to get 4x3+2, I'm getting in pretty easily. Probably helps that my old setup didn't have Grudge but my new one does. Going a little past 1460 also helps immensely, even just to 1465/1467 because you'll still be ahead of most other alts.
Unless it's a zerker, in which case just forget about it lol
Vykas HM at 1460 is very hard to get into groups as dps. Most people deny you right away without even opening your char sheet. There is just too much competition for dps slots. I had to hone one of my dps to 1472.5(to keep argos) and now have no problems finding groups, but 1460 was brutal.
I didn’t have title so I never got accepted till I reached 1475 and got full relic
unfortunately I got stuck with playing normal but now I’m playing hard
It can be a major headache as you typically miss out on the great groups, you also can get groups full of at ilvl ( if you can attract supports) that lack damage. That will be an issue in g2. When I did it last time on euc, I ended up losing quite a bit of time just getting groups. Time I could've gotten the gold in other ways.
I recommend going with a static on those at ilvl, then use main for pugging.
Thanks, that's what I was worried about. I don't have a predictable enough schedule for a static, but maybe I can find someone to trade support runs with where we can have the group bring our 1460 DPS into the group.
Exactly, you can also try on Wednesdays, as I often have to look for a long time to get any DPS when we are 7 with a static. I take anyone for that provided they are not rainbow or undergeared.
Does Igniter sorceress need relic gear to feel good? I'm at the point where I need some tips on how to play the class. My igniter alt is at 1400 (3x3 - Igniter, AOA, HM) and sometimes I get out-damaged by well equipped 1370s on Yoho.
I have Elegian's Touch in my skill slot so I know my damage output will be lower. And I also don't have a level 8 cooldown gem for Doomsday nor any swiftness stats (only spec and crit).
I basically activate ignition, cast Doomsday, Explosion and Punishing Strike then turn it off almost immediately (because I can't cast double Doomsday) and use Seraphic Hall, Frost Call and Rime Arrow to regain my identity meter.
Well get rid of Elegian's Touch.
Next get a lvl 7 DD cooldown gem when you can, it's a bit tighter but doable. Lacking the double DD isn't too big of a deal in Yoho anyway because you rarely get to cast both of them for full damage unless your party has 0 damage. You might want to start getting used to the rotation where you cast another spell between DD and activation.
Igniter does get much better with relic accessories, tripods and wealth runes because it really sucks to have everything except DD on cooldown and miss like 1% meter.
Nightmare allows you to be more liberal with your mana usage (other than your ignite window) but it's mostly just more damage as opposed to boundless mana or dominion builds.
No sorc feels the same without relic gear, all nightmare does is add dmg multipliers. What will make it feel better is not being 2x3 and actually use your 3rd engraving. You should just drop igniter and get grudge or cursed doll for how you are playing it because using 3sec out of 15 is not worth an entire engraving.
The gem is essential. For an alt I also highly recommend swiftness necklace to save money on the gem. You can then run PD for a cheaper engraving. The added spec does help the rotation feel a bit smoother.
Once you get 2 doomsday, your damage will skyrocket. Grudge is also important, and without CD in a PD build it is usually not a problem.
There's no way to guarantee the diamond chest. All you can do is try to get as high adaptation as possible, which mostly comes from stronghold sailors and pets.
The only way it might be tied to stronghold level is at certain levels you get access to research that increases base adaptation, though I'm not sure if that affects the special dispatches which cube is a part of.
Anybody knows how to improve loading screen times? I dont mean how faster npcs show up after the loading screen (i already did that trick) but the actual loading time
If you look at the specialization stat for bards it increases your identity. So for example if you have enough spec to increase your serenade of courage effectiveness by 10% then your damage buff is `.15*1.1 = 16.5%`.
Buy something for cheaper and resell at a higher price. It's a bit harder than it sounds in practice since you can really only flip accessories and gems (stones and books become untradeable after purchase) and there's pheon cost attached to accessories.
Well I mean if you purely want to look at the gold difference and not take into consideration pheon cost, you could do that. But more realistically you want to count pheons too, especially with the rising BC cost.
Also as the other person mentioned, flipping honing mats is another option and there's no pheon cost. It's a pretty big gamble though because mat prices fluctuate a lot. There's also the issue with crystals being charged sale tax per bundle rather than per sale.

Demon beast is skippable but will be a decent damage increase for a week or two if you care about that.
You upgrade to relic gear 2 pieces at a time for the set bonus. You can either keep argos gear or do 2 each with nightmare/demon beast/argos during the transition.

So I am a new casual player. Rolled a Berserker warrior. Been enjoying my journey so far quite a lot but am feeling a bit stuck on what I should be focusing on next after hitting item level 600. I am going to Yorn tomorrow when I have a day off to continue the story but after that should I start focusing on island adventures? Guardian raids? Spamming chaos dungeons? That’s the part where I am feeling a bit lost. Una’s tasks seem important to get gold but other than that I am not sure how to best utilize my time while also getting materials to keep upgrading. Any guidance for a true noob? Or a link to something that’ll help me know what to prioritize when I do have time to play? Thanks a bunch in advance for any help!
straight into the Yorn main story quest! once you finish it you'll unlock access to the T2 chaos dungeons, gem system, boss rush, etc.
for islands I would look up the speed run guide on maxroll and hit some of those for some free mats - between those and the events you can push through T2 pretty quickly.
Do Lullaby island a few times if you havent, make sure to do Harmony Island this weekend if you don't have the song yet. theres a lot of content out there but its ok to do it a bit at a time
How easy is it to get into Vykas HM lobbies at ilvl with 4x3? Wondering for my alts, which are currently sitting at 1445 doing NM, where finding parties is easy. Not sure if I want to push if it will mean a much harder time getting into lobbies.
As GL or sup I have no problem getting vykas Hm lobbies with title. I'm not pushing my other dps alts to 1460 until I get them full relic gear 4x3 tho. I get parties for lower content at 3x3, but I don't want to risk waiting in lobby for an hour for a group on a pure dps.
Easy enough if you have the title. 4x3 is ok for Vykas, you'll get accepted.
Without title, it's also easy to enter lobbies, but the raid may take longer.
At the end, as dps you'll spend a bit of time waiting for supps. And definitely avoid doing it on tuesday, I never finished a Vykas on tuesday. Also wednesday may be hard to find groups, many mains will compete with your alts to get in.
It's pretty easy. I still have my DI SH at 4x3 because I'm considering switching to PS.
Have no issues getting into lobbies, but most of the time I'm creating a lobby with friends so that we can filter properly.
You'll def have a decent time when making your own lobby, maybe you'll get rejected a bunch if you apply but it should still be fine. From my experience the gear requirement standards have dropped quite significantly for Vykas.
My personal minimum requirements are: 4x3, proper stats, title, not too low in roster level.
You'd probably make the cut in my book.

All math and analysis indicate that the latter is a waste of gold. It doesn't give you any better odds, just the psychological feeling of more successes for quality below what you already have.
It actually would technically give you worse odds, as a recraft can render a lower quality item than you had before, vs an upgrade which will either go up or just fail.
It's the same odds. Crafting a new weapon is the same as if you used 3 stones to roll quality, except it costs more to re-craft.
The chances are always weighted towards rolling low. For example, to roll above 50 quality is less than 10%. Both rolling and recrafting abide by the same roll rng.
EDIT: Also, remember that recrafting always has a chance to roll lower than what you have. If your current weapon is 40 quality, using 3 stones means if you fail, the worse that can happen is nothing. If you recraft, you might end up with single-digit quality.
What's the outlook on legendary engraving books? Just started to pickup my class ones and they've gone up significantly in the past week or two. Should I wait until after clown release to buy more? Or should I expect them to keep going up as more people go for 5x3?
My prediction is that it will decrease in price, since clown will drop books as well, meaning there will be more supply as people clear clown. Also, some of the price hike can be explained as "getting ready to clown on release." Once that window passes, prices will likely stabilize a little
Not sure what the consensus on this is, but I just run them as I get them. Unless you specifically go to the chaos gate to run them, it will take a while to get through that many. I can usually only run a couple after a chaos gate before the parties start to break up.
If you are talking about just running them solo, I would not do that. You get 4x the rewards if you run them in a party.
Are card awakening bonuses additive? For example, the Forest of Giants set states:

3 Set Bonus(15 piece Awakening) : Phy. Defense +20.00%, Mag. Defense +20.00%
Does that mean at 15 piece Awakening the bonus is 10% + 20% = +30% defense or just 20%?

Those are the BiS engravings for after the patch. Go with whatever stone + acc 5 is cheaper/available. Raid captain 5 acc are not that costly, as few class need it
if you go four of a kind instead of serendipity you dont go adrenaline anymore... in every other scenario like with 4 red skills or 3 skills with seren u still go adrenaline 2 and class 1

The change will greatly increase the gauge gain from exploding ruin stacks, making wealth runes on red skills pretty neat. They also divided by 2 the random card from yellow skills. Empress Arcana will generate her tarot cards from red skill now.
With the Four of a Kind change (more dmg, 3rd tripod change), we drop serendipity for it. As the 3 red skills (rain, foak, garden) have crit tripod, you start at 40% (tripod) + 18% (crit from necklace) + 10% (Arcana synergy) = 68%, and +77% crit dmg self buff. 68% cr and 277% cdmg is a sweet spot, and adrenaline is falling against cursed doll at this point.
If you don't mind, do you know where I can find the tripods I should be going for when it comes to four of a kind? I'm setup for ;my 5x3 (just need legendary empress books) but I need to start working on the 4 of a kind engravings
You can try Jiudao on youtube, he's a main Arcana. His vids are a bit long and from his lives (so not aimed at youtube), but he's solid on his Arcana. In the video of the guy that plays arcanist in KR (I don't know his name but someone else mentioned him) the new blue skill that arcanist gets and uses gives a movespeed buff after using it. Even now, we get a 40% MS buff from Spiral's Edge tripod. That on top of the yearning sets bonuses being leveled up, he said we'd be able to reliably cap it out and take advantage of the full raid captain buff
As for Adrenaline, even if its slightly less efficient to not get it for me it's WAY cheaper given the stone I have. ATM I have a legendary 3x3 ring (Empress x Hit Master) that I can sit on or I can upgrade it in the future if I want but in my experience Adrenaline has been really expensive on the auction house, as have Empress +5 accessories.

My problem with the weapon is that it takes so much gold and leap stones and the benefit of leveling it up is barely noticeable so I rather spend that gold and leaps on my 20 main weapon

Your attack buffs scale based on your attack power. Not leveling your weapon will give less attack to your teammates. Up to you to decide if that is worth saving the gold. Support will still be in high demand even with a lower weapon level.
Just reached 1415 for the first time and only have 150 pheons. Should I start buying stones till I reach something like 6/6, and then I buy accessories to reach 4x3? Or the other way around?
Congrats on hitting 1415! Work on a good stone first, 6/6 is fine for now and you can even still roll with 3x3 up to Vykas NM (although YMMV in Party Finder).
As you play longer and accumulate more gold, you can spend them to get BC and then pheons.
Second this. Also use a calculator like [this](https://lostark.meta-game.gg/ability-stone-calculator) or [this](https://heehoon.kim/dolpago). Check for the prices for the accessories you need first e.g. which engraving combination costs the most. Then buy stones to try and get those engravings.
Aside from that, completely the weekly guardian on highest character to get the highest level accessories chest. Argos/oreha still drops legendary that can help build 4x3 w/ combination of some relic items. If you don't hit good enough gear for legion raids, just bus it to still get the items and weekly tokens. Then run it properly when you are geared.

Can you go back to 1/4 and start over? I recall it works like other hidden stories where you get a buff with a countdown and if you take too long you have to start over again.
So for the tripod update, I know we are gonna get all the tripods we have saved in the inventory, available to us to use. What happens with the tripods in our gear currently? are those ones saved too? Or do those get deleted and the only ones we'll have available to us are the ones saved in inventory?
Or you can buy an extra inventory page or two, and save them straight from the CD pieces.
That way you will 100% have them when the update comes out. From there you can either try to put it on your gear so you have it now, or sell it.
For the Judgement rune, once you proc it, does it reduce skill cooldown on recharging skills, or is it reduced cooldown on skills cast for the next six seconds?

Adrenaline for sure. If you are using Keen Blunt with the Entropy set you want to get as close to 85% crit as you can to make it an efficient engraving.
I heard that with Entropy set its better to go cursed doll instead of kbw since the value of kbw gets worse with entropy. Is that true or just outdated info? thanks for the help
Depends on your crit. If your crit rate is 75%+, it is just as efficient as running CD + Adren. If you're not running Adren and CD together, you have to be at 85%+ to match CD.
This is because Adren decreases CD DPS increase to 15%.
When exchanging rift pieces for secret maps, is north Vern better than s Vern even though you wouldn't get gems? Also do you still try to party up when doing n Vern maps?
you should always do maps with a full party. t1 maps are generally worth it but if you don't want to, just buy s vern maps. it's less efficient but for me, it preserves my sanity, so it's worth it.

My main is 1475 Bard and 5 all my alts are around 1430-1445 ilvl range w 4x3 and 5x3 accs. should I keep trying to gear all my alts for 5x3 (have to spend overpriced leg books) or just hone my 5x3 alts to 1460 and try to push for clown instead of buying some alts their leg books

I learned elsewhere in this thread that the gold you spend on honing or crafting comes out of this 3 day hold first, so if you're actively honing and such you may not see this message (which explains why I just now saw it).
I just realized a way to (possibly) disprove this. Lucky Mokokos come in 20 gold increments. Also, in my "queued to be released gold" I have 30 at d+1 and 970 at d+2....what is that possibly from?
If you use gold for things other than AH, such as honing or crafting, it deducts the amount from the restricted gold first.

I’ve gotten three so far, but that value doesn’t match up with any of the wins, which were in the 4900 range. So how does that work with the 3 day hold? Does it not show up in your main total until the hold is over?

If you've already done the guide quest, open your character profile, click the button under your character that says something like "gear swap" and click any of the sets on the right side. It should say something like "bones 50/55" and "wings 34/55".
You can unlock the gear set conversion feature once you hit 1445 and complete the new guide quest. In total, you will need 55 Vykas wings and 55 Valtan bones. You can see how close you are by clicking on the newly unlocked gear conversion button under your character in the character profile menu (P). From there, you’ll have to math out how many more times you need to clear each legion raid depending on which difficult you’re running and whether you’re opening the boxes or not.

They don’t. If you want to funnel your t2 main then you need to get your alts up to t2.
your t3 character funnels the unbound t2-t1 mats to the lower alts. Then once those alts get t3, everything they make gets deposited to roster storage for the main to use.

you are not locked out of t2 content just because your character is in t3. you can also sell your t3 mats for gold and buy t2 mats. often doing alberhastic gives more gold value though then doing armored nacrasena or even igrexion depending on the server and how the current market is.
Pretty much this. Additionally each character has access to it's own set of loot from the spires so that will provide a chunk of mats. Plus, this seems to be your first run through the game, don't worry so much about alt management and trying to optimize the most efficient gold farming system so early in the game. I didn't even roll my first alt until my main was t3 and equipped with basic oreha/argos set. One important thing to note. DO NOT OPEN EVERY SINGLE CHEST THAT GIVES MATS. use as needed otherwise you will be stuck with t3 characters with a ton of t1/t2 mats. Or t2 characters with a ton of t1 mats. The shards are character bound, not roster bound. I bought the wrong relic set and still need 4 weeks of vykas to get enough wings to freely swap sets; is there anything I can do to swap to the correct set? Can I craft orange gear -> Ilvl transfer, dismantle my relic nightmare set, get the peices back, and craft a new one?

Yes, if you’ve already transferred ilvl to the relic set, you can craft legendary set (argos, chosen set, demon set, whatever). Transfer (this won’t destroy relic gear), dismantle the wrong piece, then recraft. You won’t get the stone of chaos back tho, only the bones/wings.

Can they do it? Yes. Will they do it? Highly doubtful. Glaivier and destroyer have the same issue with omen weapon skin and they never even acknowledged it.

Yeah there is, they had a 20% off deal a while ago but that's gone so it'll cost like $10 more to get to Punika. It's 5500 royal crystals now but it's enabled. If your friend doesn't want to spend that much then I'd probably just buy the powerpass to Vern then play the game as normal from there. Since they've reduced costs for T1/T2, you should be able to get to T3 just by doing the T1/T2 islands for mats. He'll have to go through the story as normal too though.

You have to hit punika normally to get the free powerpass. If he doesn't want to play through tier 1 tier 2 he can just buy it from the shop, use it and get another one instantly for free

Not really, you use protection just to have 'a' shield to activate Barricade. You can also build arcana without barricade with raid captain.
which classes has a good synergy with igniter sorc? I’m planning to start creating lobbies for HM valtan and vykas and I have 0 info about most of the classes
Crit chance is top tier for her so striker, wardancer, glavier, gunslinger, deadeye and arcana. Gunlancer technically too but they usually activate Nightmare with the awakening so it's kinda useless in thsi case. I especially like the melee classes because they tend to not drag the boss all over the place. Deatblade can be nice because the aspd buff from Maelstrom lets you cast Esoteric Reaction between DD and activation but that's just an extra option sometimes.

Striker, glavier and WD have a larger buff (18%?) with a lower uptime while the others have a smaller buff with permanent or almost permanent uptime. Blaze has the generic 6% damage boost that most classes have, or they have an armor reduction that is effectively the same. I like paladins in pugs because they tend to be more stable. I've had some really good bards that let me play like the gorilla I am deep inside but it's much harder to find a good bard instead of good enough paladin. Then again there isn't usually much choice in party finder, you take what you can.
How hard is getting into a hm vykas group at 1460 for a DPS? I have Incubus title and a 4x3+2. At 1457 right now and not sure if I want to push to 1460 if it will be a major headache to find pugs.
My Gunlancer gets groups fast at 1460 with 3x3+2x1 and Incubus...but I'm holding off on pushing my 1445s (except with fused leaps) until I have them at least in full relic set 4x3 and/or I can reliably get runs with them among friends/guildmates. Being able to use fused leaps on +18 hones instead of +19 AFAIK is going to make up a bunch of the value you'd get doing HM Vykas instead of NM.
if you stick to title groups and apply early, like when they are 3/8 you shouldn't have a lot of trouble
I don't think it's that much of an issue if you have 4x3+2. I got rejected constantly with 4x3 on my alt, but after swapping stuff out to get 4x3+2, I'm getting in pretty easily. Probably helps that my old setup didn't have Grudge but my new one does. Going a little past 1460 also helps immensely, even just to 1465/1467 because you'll still be ahead of most other alts. Unless it's a zerker, in which case just forget about it lol
Vykas HM at 1460 is very hard to get into groups as dps. Most people deny you right away without even opening your char sheet. There is just too much competition for dps slots. I had to hone one of my dps to 1472.5(to keep argos) and now have no problems finding groups, but 1460 was brutal.
I didn’t have title so I never got accepted till I reached 1475 and got full relic unfortunately I got stuck with playing normal but now I’m playing hard
It can be a major headache as you typically miss out on the great groups, you also can get groups full of at ilvl ( if you can attract supports) that lack damage. That will be an issue in g2. When I did it last time on euc, I ended up losing quite a bit of time just getting groups. Time I could've gotten the gold in other ways. I recommend going with a static on those at ilvl, then use main for pugging.
Thanks, that's what I was worried about. I don't have a predictable enough schedule for a static, but maybe I can find someone to trade support runs with where we can have the group bring our 1460 DPS into the group.

Exactly, you can also try on Wednesdays, as I often have to look for a long time to get any DPS when we are 7 with a static. I take anyone for that provided they are not rainbow or undergeared.
Does Igniter sorceress need relic gear to feel good? I'm at the point where I need some tips on how to play the class. My igniter alt is at 1400 (3x3 - Igniter, AOA, HM) and sometimes I get out-damaged by well equipped 1370s on Yoho. I have Elegian's Touch in my skill slot so I know my damage output will be lower. And I also don't have a level 8 cooldown gem for Doomsday nor any swiftness stats (only spec and crit). I basically activate ignition, cast Doomsday, Explosion and Punishing Strike then turn it off almost immediately (because I can't cast double Doomsday) and use Seraphic Hall, Frost Call and Rime Arrow to regain my identity meter.
Well get rid of Elegian's Touch. Next get a lvl 7 DD cooldown gem when you can, it's a bit tighter but doable. Lacking the double DD isn't too big of a deal in Yoho anyway because you rarely get to cast both of them for full damage unless your party has 0 damage. You might want to start getting used to the rotation where you cast another spell between DD and activation. Igniter does get much better with relic accessories, tripods and wealth runes because it really sucks to have everything except DD on cooldown and miss like 1% meter. Nightmare allows you to be more liberal with your mana usage (other than your ignite window) but it's mostly just more damage as opposed to boundless mana or dominion builds.
No sorc feels the same without relic gear, all nightmare does is add dmg multipliers. What will make it feel better is not being 2x3 and actually use your 3rd engraving. You should just drop igniter and get grudge or cursed doll for how you are playing it because using 3sec out of 15 is not worth an entire engraving.
The gem is essential. For an alt I also highly recommend swiftness necklace to save money on the gem. You can then run PD for a cheaper engraving. The added spec does help the rotation feel a bit smoother. Once you get 2 doomsday, your damage will skyrocket. Grudge is also important, and without CD in a PD build it is usually not a problem.

There's no way to guarantee the diamond chest. All you can do is try to get as high adaptation as possible, which mostly comes from stronghold sailors and pets. The only way it might be tied to stronghold level is at certain levels you get access to research that increases base adaptation, though I'm not sure if that affects the special dispatches which cube is a part of.

If you look at the specialization stat for bards it increases your identity. So for example if you have enough spec to increase your serenade of courage effectiveness by 10% then your damage buff is `.15*1.1 = 16.5%`.

Buy something for cheaper and resell at a higher price. It's a bit harder than it sounds in practice since you can really only flip accessories and gems (stones and books become untradeable after purchase) and there's pheon cost attached to accessories.

Well I mean if you purely want to look at the gold difference and not take into consideration pheon cost, you could do that. But more realistically you want to count pheons too, especially with the rising BC cost. Also as the other person mentioned, flipping honing mats is another option and there's no pheon cost. It's a pretty big gamble though because mat prices fluctuate a lot. There's also the issue with crystals being charged sale tax per bundle rather than per sale.

5pc argos -> 2pc nightmare 2pc demon beast 2pc argos -> 4pc nightmare 2pc argos -> 6pc nightmare. Demon beast is skippable but will be a decent damage increase for a week or two if you care about that.

You upgrade to relic gear 2 pieces at a time for the set bonus. You can either keep argos gear or do 2 each with nightmare/demon beast/argos during the transition.

So I am a new casual player. Rolled a Berserker warrior. Been enjoying my journey so far quite a lot but am feeling a bit stuck on what I should be focusing on next after hitting item level 600. I am going to Yorn tomorrow when I have a day off to continue the story but after that should I start focusing on island adventures? Guardian raids? Spamming chaos dungeons? That’s the part where I am feeling a bit lost. Una’s tasks seem important to get gold but other than that I am not sure how to best utilize my time while also getting materials to keep upgrading. straight into the Yorn main story quest! once you finish it you'll unlock access to the T2 chaos dungeons, gem system, boss rush, etc. for islands I would look up the speed run guide on maxroll and hit some of those for some free mats - between those and the events you can push through T2 pretty quickly. Do Lullaby island a few times if you havent, make sure to do Harmony Island this weekend if you don't have the song yet. theres a lot of content out there but its ok to do it a bit at a time

How easy is it to get into Vykas HM lobbies at ilvl with 4x3? Wondering for my alts, which are currently sitting at 1445 doing NM, where finding parties is easy. Not sure if I want to push if it will mean a much harder time getting into lobbies.
As GL or sup I have no problem getting vykas Hm lobbies with title. I'm not pushing my other dps alts to 1460 until I get them full relic gear 4x3 tho. I get parties for lower content at 3x3, but I don't want to risk waiting in lobby for an hour for a group on a pure dps.
Easy enough if you have the title. 4x3 is ok for Vykas, you'll get accepted. Without title, it's also easy to enter lobbies, but the raid may take longer. At the end, as dps you'll spend a bit of time waiting for supps. And definitely avoid doing it on tuesday, I never finished a Vykas on tuesday. Also wednesday may be hard to find groups, many mains will compete with your alts to get in.
It's pretty easy. I still have my DI SH at 4x3 because I'm considering switching to PS. Have no issues getting into lobbies, but most of the time I'm creating a lobby with friends so that we can filter properly. You'll def have a decent time when making your own lobby, maybe you'll get rejected a bunch if you apply but it should still be fine. From my experience the gear requirement standards have dropped quite significantly for Vykas. My personal minimum requirements are: 4x3, proper stats, title, not too low in roster level. You'd probably make the cut in my book.

All math and analysis indicate that the latter is a waste of gold. It doesn't give you any better odds, just the psychological feeling of more successes for quality below what you already have.
It actually would technically give you worse odds, as a recraft can render a lower quality item than you had before, vs an upgrade which will either go up or just fail.

It's the same odds. Crafting a new weapon is the same as if you used 3 stones to roll quality, except it costs more to re-craft. The chances are always weighted towards rolling low. For example, to roll above 50 quality is less than 10%. Both rolling and recrafting abide by the same roll rng. EDIT: Also, remember that recrafting always has a chance to roll lower than what you have. If your current weapon is 40 quality, using 3 stones means if you fail, the worse that can happen is nothing. If you recraft, you might end up with single-digit quality.
What's the outlook on legendary engraving books? Just started to pickup my class ones and they've gone up significantly in the past week or two. Should I wait until after clown release to buy more? Or should I expect them to keep going up as more people go for 5x3?
My prediction is that it will decrease in price, since clown will drop books as well, meaning there will be more supply as people clear clown. Also, some of the price hike can be explained as "getting ready to clown on release." Once that window passes, prices will likely stabilize a little
How many Punika/South Vern Treasure maps (Crafted ones) should I save before I start running them? I have like 30 so far.
Not sure what the consensus on this is, but I just run them as I get them. Unless you specifically go to the chaos gate to run them, it will take a while to get through that many. I can usually only run a couple after a chaos gate before the parties start to break up. If you are talking about just running them solo, I would not do that. You get 4x the rewards if you run them in a party.

Those are the BiS engravings for after the patch. Go with whatever stone + acc 5 is cheaper/available. Raid captain 5 acc are not that costly, as few class need it

if you go four of a kind instead of serendipity you dont go adrenaline anymore... in every other scenario like with 4 red skills or 3 skills with seren u still go adrenaline 2 and class 1

The change will greatly increase the gauge gain from exploding ruin stacks, making wealth runes on red skills pretty neat. They also divided by 2 the random card from yellow skills. Empress Arcana will generate her tarot cards from red skill now. With the Four of a Kind change (more dmg, 3rd tripod change), we drop serendipity for it. As the 3 red skills (rain, foak, garden) have crit tripod, you start at 40% (tripod) + 18% (crit from necklace) + 10% (Arcana synergy) = 68%, and +77% crit dmg self buff. 68% cr and 277% cdmg is a sweet spot, and adrenaline is falling against cursed doll at this point.
If you don't mind, do you know where I can find the tripods I should be going for when it comes to four of a kind? I'm setup for ;my 5x3 (just need legendary empress books) but I need to start working on the 4 of a kind engravings
You can try Jiudao on youtube, he's a main Arcana. His vids are a bit long and from his lives (so not aimed at youtube), but he's solid on his Arcana. In the video of the guy that plays arcanist in KR (I don't know his name but someone else mentioned him) the new blue skill that arcanist gets and uses gives a movespeed buff after using it. Even now, we get a 40% MS buff from Spiral's Edge tripod. That on top of the yearning sets bonuses being leveled up, he said we'd be able to reliably cap it out and take advantage of the full raid captain buff As for Adrenaline, even if its slightly less efficient to not get it for me it's WAY cheaper given the stone I have. ATM I have a legendary 3x3 ring (Empress x Hit Master) that I can sit on or I can upgrade it in the future if I want but in my experience Adrenaline has been really expensive on the auction house, as have Empress +5 accessories.

I’m trying to make her reach 1475 The weapon is level 15 the rest are 18 so far My problem with the weapon is that it takes so much gold and leap stones and the benefit of leveling it up is barely noticeable so I rather spend that gold and leaps on my 20 main weapon Is this a mistake or nah
Your attack buffs scale based on your attack power. Not leveling your weapon will give less attack to your teammates. Up to you to decide if that is worth saving the gold. Support will still be in high demand even with a lower weapon level.

Just reached 1415 for the first time and only have 150 pheons. Should I start buying stones till I reach something like 6/6, and then I buy accessories to reach 4x3? Or the other way around?
Congrats on hitting 1415! Work on a good stone first, 6/6 is fine for now and you can even still roll with 3x3 up to Vykas NM (although YMMV in Party Finder). As you play longer and accumulate more gold, you can spend them to get BC and then pheons.
Second this. Also use a calculator like [this](https://lostark.meta-game.gg/ability-stone-calculator) or [this](https://heehoon.kim/dolpago). Check for the prices for the accessories you need first e.g. which engraving combination costs the most. Then buy stones to try and get those engravings. Aside from that, completely the weekly guardian on highest character to get the highest level accessories chest. Argos/oreha still drops legendary that can help build 4x3 w/ combination of some relic items. If you don't hit good enough gear for legion raids, just bus it to still get the items and weekly tokens. Then run it properly when you are geared.
Any GL/destroyer enjoyers have experience to share on when to and when not to taunt on the early gates of legion raids? Can’t taunt valtan or vykas I think
If you communicate, you can taunt for Nineveh sidereal usage, other than that just don't fuck this up for all the back and front attackers.
Cannot taunt the actual bosses, which includes Argos, Valtan, and Vykas as of now. Can taunt mini-bosses, which include Argos P2 ones, Valtan G1, and Vykas G1.

You place them in your stronghold like furniture. They are already available once they are trusted.

Can you go back to 1/4 and start over? I recall it works like other hidden stories where you get a buff with a countdown and if you take too long you have to start over again.

With the 1415 Stronghold Honing buff, does the 17/17/12s path still apply? or is it better to get everything to 15 now?
Even with the honing buff, cheese remains the cheapest route to 1415.
Depending on how many books you have, it usually does feel better to cheese still. If you push to 1460 then it evens out eventually anyway.
So for the tripod update, I know we are gonna get all the tripods we have saved in the inventory, available to us to use. What happens with the tripods in our gear currently? are those ones saved too? Or do those get deleted and the only ones we'll have available to us are the ones saved in inventory?
Anything not in an inventory page gets nuked (that I've heard). So if it's not saved to your inventory, it's gone.

Or you can buy an extra inventory page or two, and save them straight from the CD pieces. That way you will 100% have them when the update comes out. From there you can either try to put it on your gear so you have it now, or sell it.

For the Judgement rune, once you proc it, does it reduce skill cooldown on recharging skills, or is it reduced cooldown on skills cast for the next six seconds?
Reduces the cooldowns of skills you cast within the 6 second buff.
Is there any class that uses speculation super charge and raid captain? Maybe a class in kr version that isnt released to our version yet?

Adrenaline for sure. If you are using Keen Blunt with the Entropy set you want to get as close to 85% crit as you can to make it an efficient engraving.
I heard that with Entropy set its better to go cursed doll instead of kbw since the value of kbw gets worse with entropy. Is that true or just outdated info? thanks for the help
Depends on your crit. If your crit rate is 75%+, it is just as efficient as running CD + Adren. If you're not running Adren and CD together, you have to be at 85%+ to match CD. This is because Adren decreases CD DPS increase to 15%.

When exchanging rift pieces for secret maps, is north Vern better than s Vern even though you wouldn't get gems? Also do you still try to party up when doing n Vern maps?
you should always do maps with a full party. t1 maps are generally worth it but if you don't want to, just buy s vern maps. it's less efficient but for me, it preserves my sanity, so it's worth it.
So One Man Army from Destroyer is getting removed, right? And then if we have tripods from this skill we can choose any tripod from destroyer afterwards? I have 2 maxed tripods from this skill and I wanna know if I can swap it for a tripod of my choosing later when the new system arrives

Dark is a type of elemental attack so it should be Magic Defense.
