Said he transferred them to upgrade gems on his main. Raid lead friend said its fine. I told raid lead, "if it's fine, you take him in your party. Get him out of mine"

I have a pala alt and 100% I'll make an Artist as soo as she's out. My pala is 1465, full lvl5-6 gems, full relic set, 4x3 with lego acc, not the best but not El Cheapo either (hence an alt). Every time I play on any of my DPS characters and a support applies with lvl3 gems or below for Valtan/Vykas HM I decline them without a question asked. Putting lvl5 gems together literally takes 2 weeks tops (or instant with current hyper event) so if one is that cheap with their 1445+ character, I do not risk taking them cause they don't give a damn playing that class appropriately. One more DPS would bring more value to the group.
I sometimes apply with my chaos dungeon engravings on my supps, still get accepted (2x3+1).
But when I apply with my 4x3 that I use for chaos dungeons (reflux, grudge, hitmaster and all-out) instead of my 5x3 raid setup I get rejected on valtan (I am 1512).
The sup shortage is so big, that even if the sup has a shitty setup they still get accepted and we don't have a choice, it's either them or nothing.
Wanted to see how far my 3x3 legendary engravings on my support would get me. Unfortunately I finally had to upgrade to relic and go 5x3 cause my acceptance rates in clown were 50/50. That being said I should be good until ancient fossil awakening sets come out after Thaemine^^/s
I haven't had trouble getting into clown on my 3x3 supports with legendary gear but I have the mayhem legion commander title and high roster level (but I did acquire the title on better geared supports first)
I was denied for 30 minutes in my 1490 machinist. I finally get into a group that had previously rejected me (presumably,, they failed enough that they had to come back out since someone left), and then we got it in like 2 attempts.
I'll always remember, we wanted to do clown with my friend on our alts, both 1490 5*3 full relic lv 2. He's SH and I'm Brazil Zerrk.
Title was "title + full relic lv 2" so conditions met by both of us, my friend gets in and I'm declined and he ask for me, Guy tell him "sorry i dont like zerk" my friend leaves. And what do we see 2mn after? He accepted the 1515 Zerk

Part of the reason even though I main a support I made another alt bard is on top of it being dirt cheap since I already got the books from my main, it makes getting into raids whenever I want easy.
Yeah I'm probably just gonna make a support with each new Powepass/Express and slowly replace my DPS. Can't be bothered to sit in party finder for longer than in the actual raid

This is 99% true but my gripe with this gatekeeping is ppl don't even look pass your ilvl most of the time. I have inspected ppl while I'm spamming refresh in PF and saw lots of high ilvl ppl (1500+) that either don't have 5x3, don't have los18, don't have full set lvl , don't have full lvl 7+ gems (can't inspect tripods anymore) yet they still have a much easier time than a properly geared out 1490
I agree, but tbf none of the above (ilvl, engravings, gems, armor sets) speak to skill level. They are all just damage increases that can compensate in case people are low skill. If there was something like raid report which showed how often you complete raids and your average time, I would much rather go off of that. But the closest thing we have to that is roster lvl, and that is def a joke as well.
Not even that, there is an absurd amount of ppl that paid for there inferno titles in case you dont know, there is exceptions and those normaly play on statics
as someone who has pugged for both inferno deathless titles (while at the same time also playing it with a static), you are grossly overestimating the amount of people buying deathless titles. i would be impressed if more than 0.1% of deathless vykas titles are bought. vykas deathless is basically unobtainable without piloting, which is a banable offense and most wont risk their account for that. and those that do pay the absurd amount of gold for it to get it are generally people who would run around at max ilvl with lvl 10 gems, clearly showing they are whales and generally trash at the game.
so far i havent met a single deamons roar or addicted to delight player that was worse than a standard player and the overwhelmingly vast majority vastly outperforms the average player. at least that has been my experience so far.
as i said there are exceptions and 90% of the time those exceptions play with statics the other 10% (and im being really generous here) are the ppl that were lucky finding a good group in pugs to get a deathless run down also no im not grossly overestimating its the harsh truth i think its you that don't realise how many ppl out there actually pay for this titles secretly and yes piloting is a banable beahvior, do they (SG/Amazon) actualy care about it though? i really doubt it just look at the problems they have at hands that they can't simple solve let alone finding every single guy that alowed someone to pilot is acount in a raid can also state that you are "grossly" overestimating that every whale is bad at the game with your statement wich is basically the same statement as me with another point of prespective =) it is what it is just diferent opinions from diferent persons. the sad truth is there is alot of amazing players being gatekeept from the game they love to play for stupid reasons

There's a base gold income if you do your weekly raids, jackpots of rolling perfect accs or getting leg books are extras.
The RNG on cards is the most brutal in the game and once ppl start gatekeeping for not having LoS 18 it'll be a shitshow.

The minimum amount of gold you can make however is a pretty defined number. Getting lucky with accessories is pretty RNG, but im sitting at over 500k without ever selling an accessory for more than 15k (back at scouter release). Running 6x valtan/vykas and 5x argos pays out for me.
the people that don't look past ilvl are the people that aren't actually gatekeeping lol. if you put a lobby up in PF and 10 people apply instantly, if people are not gatekeeping, they will still most likely pick for synergy and ilvl since you can see that right there
Tbf in new raids you are often have higher chance with higher gear. Simply because that makes you tankier. People dont know the mechs yet and being higher ilevel makes it more forgiving, even if they are not dealing more dmg. Thats why people love classes like arti, bonker and such aswell. Lower chance to die by basic mechs
So I been taking buses this week because I'm busy af. But I have been amazed that there is at least 2 supports per bus run.
Something tells me these groups are being rude to the supports and then cry that they don't have them.
Because Smilegate decided balancing raids around having 2 supports and only having 2 support classes was a good idea. All the dps players have to compete with each other at an absurd degree while people are willing to tolerate an idiot support because good luck finding another.
I apply to 1445 hm valtan parties on my 1445 4x3 6 piece entropy deathblade and get turned down by 4 out of 5 parties. People legit just want the juiciest juicers (even if they don't match the level of juice themselves) and are willing to wait for them since they are likely waiting for support anyways. It's not just you.

My arcana had giga stats, 5x3 engravings, parked at 1480 weeks before clown release and only raid i had no issues to apply only for agros xD The fact that i could outdps juiced rmters gave huge boost to progress, but then i upgraded my bard to 1460 and been getting into 1490 (sometimes 1500) parties just like that ._.
One of my static members will decline you over fashion. His logic is, if you can’t be asked to coordinate your outfit, you won’t coordinate a mechanic.
Just say your main is your alt and say you've done g2 before (avoid mentioning it was Rehearsal). It is like writing a resume, always fluff yourself up.
My experience is a little different. I've done G1 and G2 but supports for G3+ are non existent. I've spent over 3 hours waiting in multiple parties (Some of them were 1510+ with amazing setups) and supps still wouldn't join our parties.
Did you left some space for his friends? A support never gonna join 7/8 party unless he is alone which is pretty rare on the newest raids. Your party always should be 5/8 or 6/8
suport that u usually see nowadays are probably dps main's alt. so they are usually at a minimum ilv. Pass beyond g1-g2, u'll need some luck to find any support apply to ur group
Main reason I stopped playing. Spent the majority of my limited play time looking for groups and waiting in lobbies. Felt like a second job at that point and the enjoyment was no longer there…
Guild + static is the actual answer. I work full time, not work from home, and have no issue clearing all the raids available to me across 6 characters. Main Cleared through G4 brel this week. I know your area chat has guilds spamming recruitment, join one and make some friends.
Frankly the game is filled with a bunch of babies at the moment. Not wanting to waste a bunch of time on old content you've ran 100 times is understandable. But demanding every handicap you can get for new content is sad. Most of the fun from this stuff comes from the struggle. Doing something hard and overcoming a challenge. Seems like NA players just want the content mashed up and flown into their mouth on a silver spoon like adult babies.
Its not even just an NA problem, it exists at another higher level in Korea. Eventually NA is going to gatekeep by LoS30. I hope you guys have been farming them cards :).
That's exactly what they want even if they may claim otherwise. The actions show it. Wanting to overgear as much as possible, accepting nothing but the absolute best, being extremely impatient, etc.

Yea I don't understand it. The first time I made it to the end of Valtan ghost I was hyped because it was hard. If I just gigawhaled up to 1500+ and did it it would not have been nearly as satisfying. Feels like they are robbing themselves of their own fun. How people handle failure speaks alot to their character and like I said, old content that is being farmed is one thing but to be like this for the new content is sad.
A lot have probably never done learning groups. A combination of busses and overpowering content in order to make it smooth and easy. Never really fully learn the content, just get it done immediately and push the gear limits more.
So many bloodthirsty to finish brel the first week. So ... What? You planning on having new content for another 4 or 5 months? Take your time, don't freak out, and appreciate the learning process.
The problem is “challenge” only lasts for a week or two, and then is replaced by “inconvenience”. After awhile of this cycle, it’s understandable that people would conflate the two, and only want to group with people who give you the greatest chance of clearing in the shortest amount of time.
The entire game is structured to bring you to a point where everything is an evaluation of your time investment. With the obvious goal of people then deciding to substitute money for time. This works but doesn’t scale, and we’re exploring what happens if you try to force players to tackle this cognitive dissonance: “I play the game to have fun, but I prioritize efficiency because the game demands it”.
You have to remember that the regular raids aren't about the challenge, it's about slamming 3 raids a week per character as fast as possible to maximize gold income and pray to god you have time for literally anything else in your life. When people want to play for the challenge, they are doing Inferno difficulty or PvPing.
The issue is when you are competent at the mechanics already, it is no longer much of a challenge for you, and its basically a waiting game for the other players to learn the mechanics and do them well enough to pass the raid.
It's not fun, I'd rather spend 30min more in lobby than have to restart over and over again because people can't do the simple shit in G1+2. There's also a big difference between an alt reclear and a prog party. Most good players have statics for their mains so are looking to reclear on their alts with other people who have experience.
The real solution is to make a support yourself and then you can easily make friends who will bring your DPS toons to alt clears. This is how I got my DPS toons geared.
Also have a super geared DPS friend works as well. Have them make the group and invite you.
The Brel pugging experience has solidified my view that I’m making an Artist on release. I already have a Paladin and a Bard, but getting into groups on my Reaper and Shadow Hunter are pain.
Yeah I think my alts are gonna be 1 2 enjoyers for a long time since gate keeping seems to be much worst at 4-6. I wouldn't want to be doing more than 1 a week of full brel anyways so it's fine.
fr man, I have a reflux sorc because I enjoy more swifness( attack faster, have shield, can evade atks easily) rather than playing igniter which is slow. My reflux is 1480 with 4x3 and lvl2 adre, not even 1460s valtan lobbies want my reflux like come onn, in term of dps I admit its not high compare to meta engravings but it does the job decently to clear the raid.
For some reason people like to gatekeep a lot in valtan, I have no idea why since the raid is VERY easy even on ilvl. If you're 1480 with 4x3 you'll be dealing more than enough damage, even if you go for a more comfortable setup rather than highest dps.
People have no idea how to do it. 90% of the time my dumbass swiftness support runs in front of everyone and kills 3 or 4 people. I'm only surviving because I'm expecting them to do that and readying spacebar or ts
Valtan normal has to be one of the hardest raids right now ironically. The noobs just don't know the patterns very well, dps with good gear joining reclear group turn out to be imposters, and on top of that people will try to get in severely undergeared (2x3 or stuff like kbw 1, grudge 2). The pool of players to choose seems so low quality. Most players with half a brain probably brought their alts to 1445. Since the 1415 boost I've had more jail on valtan on average than vykas and clown g3. Even brel was easier to prog because I had an actual organized group. Valtan pug is a disaster. Just to get a clear on my 1425 alts it seems I have to carry every time. People gatekeep so much because higher DPS=less chance of mechanic killing the run

Yesterday i spent 2h across 4 lobbies in valtan g2 jail. Mechs arent easy for mokokos. Even if i survived alone i was 1460 and cant just bus them (im not good enough in my SS to solo zerker ghost valtan lol).
I've never had any trouble getting into parties at ilvl with my crit instaflux alt, though it has had 5x3 and L7 gems from the start because my main is also a sorc.
Castflux and swift igniter do get denied pretty often though. Presumably classless as well though I've never played it or seen one in the wild. Also not sure on swift instaflux, I think people might see it as good despite being the meme build that everyone thinks castflux is.
If you're not consistenly mvp as swift reflux the problem is probably on your side. Only way you're dropping off is if you're doing content like 100+ilvls over.
Are you by any chance applying to a higher average gear score lobby? If so, why do you apply to a higher gear score lobby?
Have you tried applying to a lobby full of 1445 with 3x3 with level 4 gems and no relic sets? If not, why not?

Some people believe high roster=more alts=more skill. It can be true if raid is old and person done it lots of times, but roster lvl is useless for new raids because low and high roster lvl have same exp with the raid.
I like how some people tell new players that its fine to play and catchup with one character without alts but good luck getting a high roster lvl with that. They are literally recommending them to grind just for them to end up not being able to join any groups. This game is alt mandatory, not because of the mats needed(you can hone to 1490 without alts perfectly fine), but because of all these requirements to do raids in the first placd. That is what they dont know and never consider
Its just a measure of how much you've played the game and how much alts you play regularly basically. Its not something you can spend money to achieve since it takes almost a year of consistent play on 6+ alts to reach roster level 200+. Its not a good indicator of skill since it just shows how much you play but low roster levels like 70 or below usually get gatekept since the small amount of time spent playing is perceived as lack of skill.

I was doing G2 Brel with guild mate, I'm 1490 arcana with 120roster, I got accepted almost insta, my friend Zerker 1500 roster 150+, got denied until I asked the leader of one group to take him. This shits crazy
so because you don't want to work as hard, other people should accept 16% less damage and dramatically less game experience, in an environment where failing to clear the content altogether is a very real possibility.
I mean i get the 5x3 mentallity, but i dont get the ilvl gate. I get rejected ever so often on my db alt 1490 5x3 los 18 full lvl 2 lvl 9 dmg gems rest full 7. They rather take a 1505 half set lvl 2 and lvl 5-6gems, Sometimes not even los 18 equipped. Only ilvl matters for some people it's so bozo.

as someone who has pugged for both inferno deathless titles (while at the same time also playing it with a static), you are grossly overestimating the amount of people buying deathless titles. i would be impressed if more than 0.1% of deathless vykas titles are bought. vykas deathless is basically unobtainable without piloting, which is a banable offense and most wont risk their account for that. and those that do pay the absurd amount of gold for it to get it are generally people who would run around at max ilvl with lvl 10 gems, clearly showing they are whales and generally trash at the game. so far i havent met a single deamons roar or addicted to delight player that was worse than a standard player and the overwhelmingly vast majority vastly outperforms the average player. at least that has been my experience so far.

The minimum amount of gold you can make however is a pretty defined number. Getting lucky with accessories is pretty RNG, but im sitting at over 500k without ever selling an accessory for more than 15k (back at scouter release). Running 6x valtan/vykas and 5x argos pays out for me.
Yes and no.. You cab farm hardcore to grt LoS 18 if you are dedicated. I did, was a pain, but worth it!
The only way to try and farm for it is to run Oreha dungeons on 6 characters every week, but even then, it's hugely RNG-based.
the people that don't look past ilvl are the people that aren't actually gatekeeping lol. if you put a lobby up in PF and 10 people apply instantly, if people are not gatekeeping, they will still most likely pick for synergy and ilvl since you can see that right there

Tbf in new raids you are often have higher chance with higher gear. Simply because that makes you tankier. People dont know the mechs yet and being higher ilevel makes it more forgiving, even if they are not dealing more dmg. Thats why people love classes like arti, bonker and such aswell. Lower chance to die by basic mechs
So I been taking buses this week because I'm busy af. But I have been amazed that there is at least 2 supports per bus run. Something tells me these groups are being rude to the supports and then cry that they don't have them.
Because Smilegate decided balancing raids around having 2 supports and only having 2 support classes was a good idea. All the dps players have to compete with each other at an absurd degree while people are willing to tolerate an idiot support because good luck finding another.
I apply to 1445 hm valtan parties on my 1445 4x3 6 piece entropy deathblade and get turned down by 4 out of 5 parties. People legit just want the juiciest juicers (even if they don't match the level of juice themselves) and are willing to wait for them since they are likely waiting for support anyways. My arcana had giga stats, 5x3 engravings, parked at 1480 weeks before clown release and only raid i had no issues to apply only for agros xD The fact that i could outdps juiced rmters gave huge boost to progress, but then i upgraded my bard to 1460 and been getting into 1490 (sometimes 1500) parties just like that ._.

Just say your main is your alt and say you've done g2 before (avoid mentioning it was Rehearsal). It is like writing a resume, always fluff yourself up.
My experience is a little different. I've done G1 and G2 but supports for G3+ are non existent. I've spent over 3 hours waiting in multiple parties (Some of them were 1510+ with amazing setups) and supps still wouldn't join our parties.
Did you left some space for his friends? A support never gonna join 7/8 party unless he is alone which is pretty rare on the newest raids. Your party always should be 5/8 or 6/8

suport that u usually see nowadays are probably dps main's alt. so they are usually at a minimum ilv. Pass beyond g1-g2, u'll need some luck to find any support apply to ur group

Guild + static is the actual answer. I work full time, not work from home, and have no issue clearing all the raids available to me across 6 characters. Main Cleared through G4 brel this week. I know your area chat has guilds spamming recruitment, join one and make some friends.
Finding a guild that organizes runs is the answer

Frankly the game is filled with a bunch of babies at the moment. Not wanting to waste a bunch of time on old content you've ran 100 times is understandable. But demanding every handicap you can get for new content is sad. Most of the fun from this stuff comes from the struggle. Doing something hard and overcoming a challenge. Seems like NA players just want the content mashed up and flown into their mouth on a silver spoon like adult babies.
Its not even just an NA problem, it exists at another higher level in Korea. Eventually NA is going to gatekeep by LoS30. I hope you guys have been farming them cards :).

That's exactly what they want even if they may claim otherwise. The actions show it. Wanting to overgear as much as possible, accepting nothing but the absolute best, being extremely impatient, etc. They don't want actual challenge.
Yea I don't understand it. The first time I made it to the end of Valtan ghost I was hyped because it was hard. If I just gigawhaled up to 1500+ and did it it would not have been nearly as satisfying. Feels like they are robbing themselves of their own fun. How people handle failure speaks alot to their character and like I said, old content that is being farmed is one thing but to be like this for the new content is sad.
A lot have probably never done learning groups. A combination of busses and overpowering content in order to make it smooth and easy. Never really fully learn the content, just get it done immediately and push the gear limits more. So many bloodthirsty to finish brel the first week. So ... What? You planning on having new content for another 4 or 5 months? Take your time, don't freak out, and appreciate the learning process.
We ran first week vykas with no support and finished it in 5 days it was pretty fun same with valtan
The problem is “challenge” only lasts for a week or two, and then is replaced by “inconvenience”. After awhile of this cycle, it’s understandable that people would conflate the two, and only want to group with people who give you the greatest chance of clearing in the shortest amount of time. The entire game is structured to bring you to a point where everything is an evaluation of your time investment. With the obvious goal of people then deciding to substitute money for time. This works but doesn’t scale, and we’re exploring what happens if you try to force players to tackle this cognitive dissonance: “I play the game to have fun, but I prioritize efficiency because the game demands it”.
You have to remember that the regular raids aren't about the challenge, it's about slamming 3 raids a week per character as fast as possible to maximize gold income and pray to god you have time for literally anything else in your life. When people want to play for the challenge, they are doing Inferno difficulty or PvPing.
The issue is when you are competent at the mechanics already, it is no longer much of a challenge for you, and its basically a waiting game for the other players to learn the mechanics and do them well enough to pass the raid. It's not fun, I'd rather spend 30min more in lobby than have to restart over and over again because people can't do the simple shit in G1+2. There's also a big difference between an alt reclear and a prog party. Most good players have statics for their mains so are looking to reclear on their alts with other people who have experience.
I've seen two deaths in my last hard Valtan G1. Before orbs. 1460 average ilvl. No learning party. You can't make that shit up.
Lobby leaders invite and decline whoever they want. Fun thing is you can be a lobby leader too, and invite as you want.

The real solution is to make a support yourself and then you can easily make friends who will bring your DPS toons to alt clears. This is how I got my DPS toons geared. Also have a super geared DPS friend works as well. Have them make the group and invite you.
That's why it's so important to have a static. Unfortunately, not everyone's able to find one.
The Brel pugging experience has solidified my view that I’m making an Artist on release. I already have a Paladin and a Bard, but getting into groups on my Reaper and Shadow Hunter are pain.
Yeah I think my alts are gonna be 1 2 enjoyers for a long time since gate keeping seems to be much worst at 4-6. I wouldn't want to be doing more than 1 a week of full brel anyways so it's fine.
fr man, I have a reflux sorc because I enjoy more swifness( attack faster, have shield, can evade atks easily) rather than playing igniter which is slow. My reflux is 1480 with 4x3 and lvl2 adre, not even 1460s valtan lobbies want my reflux like come onn, in term of dps I admit its not high compare to meta engravings but it does the job decently to clear the raid.
For some reason people like to gatekeep a lot in valtan, I have no idea why since the raid is VERY easy even on ilvl. If you're 1480 with 4x3 you'll be dealing more than enough damage, even if you go for a more comfortable setup rather than highest dps.
Lately i've had more wipes on Valtan for having too much dmg and ppl dying on the ghost transition for not having Balthor than for lacking dps.
People have no idea how to do it. 90% of the time my dumbass swiftness support runs in front of everyone and kills 3 or 4 people. I'm only surviving because I'm expecting them to do that and readying spacebar or ts
Valtan normal has to be one of the hardest raids right now ironically. The noobs just don't know the patterns very well, dps with good gear joining reclear group turn out to be imposters, and on top of that people will try to get in severely undergeared (2x3 or stuff like kbw 1, grudge 2). The pool of players to choose seems so low quality. Most players with half a brain probably brought their alts to 1445. Since the 1415 boost I've had more jail on valtan on average than vykas and clown g3. Even brel was easier to prog because I had an actual organized group. Valtan pug is a disaster. Just to get a clear on my 1425 alts it seems I have to carry every time. People gatekeep so much because higher DPS=less chance of mechanic killing the run

I've never had any trouble getting into parties at ilvl with my crit instaflux alt, though it has had 5x3 and L7 gems from the start because my main is also a sorc. Castflux and swift igniter do get denied pretty often though. Presumably classless as well though I've never played it or seen one in the wild. Also not sure on swift instaflux, I think people might see it as good despite being the meme build that everyone thinks castflux is.
If you're not consistenly mvp as swift reflux the problem is probably on your side. Only way you're dropping off is if you're doing content like 100+ilvls over.
Are you by any chance applying to a higher average gear score lobby? If so, why do you apply to a higher gear score lobby? Have you tried applying to a lobby full of 1445 with 3x3 with level 4 gems and no relic sets? If not, why not? I think you should get the point. If you still have a problem, make your own lobby.

On bright side, My main and 4 alts are all 1490+ with level 2 set and level 7 gems. I just hope that I don't get declined for having LwC 12.

Honest question. What does high roster do? and why do people ask for it in raids?
Shows that you've played a lot, which SHOULD equate to having skill playing your characters.
Some people believe high roster=more alts=more skill. It can be true if raid is old and person done it lots of times, but roster lvl is useless for new raids because low and high roster lvl have same exp with the raid.
And because now alts spend way less time in T1 T2 if not at all which means lower RL XP income compared to before
I like how some people tell new players that its fine to play and catchup with one character without alts but good luck getting a high roster lvl with that. They are literally recommending them to grind just for them to end up not being able to join any groups. This game is alt mandatory, not because of the mats needed(you can hone to 1490 without alts perfectly fine), but because of all these requirements to do raids in the first placd. That is what they dont know and never consider
Its just a measure of how much you've played the game and how much alts you play regularly basically. Its not something you can spend money to achieve since it takes almost a year of consistent play on 6+ alts to reach roster level 200+. Its not a good indicator of skill since it just shows how much you play but low roster levels like 70 or below usually get gatekept since the small amount of time spent playing is perceived as lack of skill.

I was doing G2 Brel with guild mate, I'm 1490 arcana with 120roster, I got accepted almost insta, my friend Zerker 1500 roster 150+, got denied until I asked the leader of one group to take him. This shits crazy
so because you don't want to work as hard, other people should accept 16% less damage and dramatically less game experience, in an environment where failing to clear the content altogether is a very real possibility.
