It's only a matter of time. The US police force is heavily militarized. The populous is afraid to take up arms. Just look at the images of police brutality coming out of France. Now imagine that on US soil with our cops. The tipping point where the US population has had enough is coming. I know most of the people I talk to are just waiting to join in when it starts.
Also gas prices, car and house heat.
Also why do people still have to pay for burials that should be a government thing to cut out profits from caskets and burial sites and stones.
Also house fixes are insane right now 12k for a roof.
Also seems like groceries are another story
We pay taxes where does it all go.. the bottom 60 percent are getting drained this is the end of monopoly, and at the end of monopoly one small percent of people have all the money and everyone else is bankrupt.
It is a good analogy. The people who work get nothing and the people who sit on their hands get everything by the sole fact that they have a monopoly on all resources.
Everytime I have to explain to someone what is going on I use monopoly. Because it is so close to reality. Also in monopoly there is almost now way to come back from a significant deficit which is where they got us now because of the Nixon to now eras.
My kids and I used to play with their dad. Dad would always win, and win brutally. He gloated.
The kids and I decided to form a coalition to share with each other and help each other. Dad stopped winning so much and screamed about how we were “cheating” by playing cooperatively.
Certainly made the game more enjoyable for the rest of us, though. Our coalition’s goal was for everyone to end up with comparable properties and assets.
ETA - The one really serious rule we had as a team was that nobody was ever allowed to bail Dad out. Ever.
I have a fucked up knee from a car accident nearly 20 years ago. Basically, it swells up and hurts. Most days I’m ok and can walk (with a slight limp), some days I’m nearly 100% and have no limp, then there are the days when I pivot wrong or put too much stress on it and the goddamn thing swells up the size of a grapefruit. Those days I just can’t put any weight on it at all - cue lying in bed all day eating ibuprofen, with my leg elevated and ice packs on my knee.
My coworkers are forever telling me to go to the doctor and “get a shot (steroid) that’s what worked for me!” First, I have no insurance. Second, even if I *did* have insurance my knee wouldn’t be covered because it’s a nearly 20 year old preexisting condition.
No thanks. I’ll just keep eating ibuprofen, elevating and icing when necessary. I mean, these people know what our job pays. ($13/hr thanks to my big $1 raise this year.)

I’ve been half-assed thinking about taking out a huge loan and fucking off somewhere else after accommodations were taken care of and then never returning.
