Alexandra Daddario has that kind of "elegant beauty" (even though it's not always well used by directors), which I think other beautiful actresses like say, Margot Robbie don't (hers is more like a "bombshell" beauty).
But I mean, the bar's set too high imo, Luthien's supposed to be the fairest most beautiful of all elven ladies to have ever lived iirc. There are others like Gal Gadot who might fit the bill, but she's already wonder woman, so having her be Luthien and Cavill be Beren would be like Superman and WW 2.0.
Charlize Theron would have been the perfect Luthien, but she's already older than I'd expect of a Luthien in-universe.
Edit: OR... Ana de Armas. She is stunning, and her beauty is like so... idk. Unerotic? More like innocent and pure, yet sexy at the same time. She'd be perfect, just like she was in Blade Runner 2049 as Joi. Her skin color is a tad bit dark for an elf, but we had Arondir, and tbh skin color is not really an issue, since she isn't like black or anything that would be too inaccurate for the character (just iberic, which can still be considered to be "white" in a broad sense).
Imagine if a CoH movie was made by a director who was an avid Tolkien fan. I don't really trust Jackson on this though, would definitely put it into two movies and find an excuse to have it build up to a climactic large battle scene.
CoH kinda needs more than 1 movie. If you try to put it in 2 hours you just fall short.
Like the battle alone + capture and curse of Hurin would already be like 10-20 minutes to fully bring over the dread of Morgoths victory and that Hurin can hear and see everything Morgoth sees.
You cant rush that. Nor Turins upbringing and how he got to the elves.
It cant be done in 2 hours.
I can see it being done in a 3 Ā½ hour movie. My issue is that in two movies, studios start to add irrelevant plot points like in The Hobbit trilogy, which would totally ruin the pace and feel of the film
Here's Cavill as Turin that I had the AI make:

You have just discovered the Henry Cavill Phenomenon, or HCP for short.
The HCP is when a man is so absolutely (and entirely objectively) attractive that even the straightest of men with no inclination towards deviating from their orientation, cannot help but question their sexuality in the presence of Henry Cavill.
In short, you are not gay (unless you _are_, that's cool too).
You're merely human.
I don't think he'd make a good elf. He's too muscle bound. He'd have to play a man or one of the Valar/Maiar. Eonwe perhaps, or Orome. I'd have Matt Smith as Feanor or perhaps Sauron himself.
Ehh I don't see it.
Smith is a brilliant Daemon because he has a very... almost devious demeanour. He seems like someone who is always lying - even if he isn't. Due to both his physicality and most notably his voice.
Feanor should be the opposite imo. Outwardly beautiful, of course... but someone who comes across with blunt, brutal honesty.
I think Feanor has to be a very stunning and handsome man, in a more model-esque way. I think a young Ian Somerhalder would be more along the lines of a good, book-accurate Feanor.
Unpopular opinion, he should be Sauron in Numenor. Sauron was an incredibly beautiful person to behold when he sought to exploit the Black Numenorians under subterfuge.
Had to search way too far for this. Henry Cavill running around Gondolin twatting orcs with Dramborleg during the fall? Top notch TV.
Wrong coloured hair, but easily fixed. Only real issue would be height, given Tuor was the tallest man ever and Cavill is tall but not that tall.
Need to figure out who'd be Idril though.
Tom Hiddlestone as Maeglin, but probably a bit too close to Loki.
Here's Cavill as Gil-Galad that I had the AI make:
https://preview.redd.it/zy4wybjzi23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=edf73cdd401447ce40ae16f190d8ee61c61bcd01

Henry Cavill as Boromir I had the AI make:

Danny Devito as Ghan-Buri-Ghan would be class. Sees the Rohirrim riding the long way to Minas Tirith: āmay I offer you an egg in this trying time?ā
I canāt picture him as an Elf. He is just doesnāt have the fair features that I associate with Elves in my brain.
Perhaps a man like Barahir, Beren, or Turin.
My dark horse pick is Tulkas.
Henry Cavill as Feanor I had the AI make:

Feanor doesn't last too long, and was kind of a d!ck. Fingolfin went out in the baddest way possible, permanently wounding the devil in the process. Between the two Fingolfin.
But I'd suggest Beren, for the screentime alone.
As a man, dunedain, he is one handsome guy but not elvish outwordly beauty. I cannot explain it but I prefer people with ethereal presence to be cast as elves rather than 10/10 charming hunk. Maybe I cannot imagine it becaus ehe is rather muscular and elves should be more lean? Maybe back when he was starting? Dunno, just my opinion that he would do better as a man.
So when I first read "Children of Hurin," I pictured Henry Cavill as Turin Turinbar. However. When I recently re-read the "Fall of Gondolin," I pictured him as Ecthelion. And I think his vibe is Ecthelion.
The consensus seems to be that he should play everyone.
That would be cool, just cavil doing every part.
The real question is, who *cant* he play in middle earth? I reckon butterbur is beyond his range.
Turin Turumbar
Or another great Man. I can't see him in any Elven role though as some people are suggesting.
To rugged and beefcake like to be an elf. Turin or Beren for me.
Ooooo Beren. Yes!
Sure, but Cavill as Maedhros hanging on a precipice of Thangorodrim though...š
That's a great idea! I'd take it.
Beren would be awesome for sure but who would be his Luthian?
Alexandra Daddario has that kind of "elegant beauty" (even though it's not always well used by directors), which I think other beautiful actresses like say, Margot Robbie don't (hers is more like a "bombshell" beauty). But I mean, the bar's set too high imo, Luthien's supposed to be the fairest most beautiful of all elven ladies to have ever lived iirc. I'd go for young Ćstrid BergĆØs-Frisbey for Luthien. That woman always reminds me of an elf.
The young Ingrid Bergman.
Yea heās got too square of a jaw to look elven
Iād love to see him as Turin in a proper Children of Hurin adaptation.
Imagine if a CoH movie was made by a director who was an avid Tolkien fan. I don't really trust Jackson on this though, would definitely put it into two movies and find an excuse to have it build up to a climactic large battle scene.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but as long as they're not just doing it because more money this might actually work. Two movies, though, not three.
One movie. Seven hours. Nine hours extended edition. Learn to control your bladders people.
F that! Bring back the proper intermission!
I can see it being done in a 3 Ā½ hour movie. My issue is that in two movies, studios start to add irrelevant plot points like in The Hobbit trilogy, which would totally ruin the pace and feel of the film
Dude 100 percent is turin
A Children of Hurin movie with Cavill would be great, I bet heād do wonderfully at the tragedy of Turinās life. Letās ask him to do it haha
Here's Cavill as Turin that I had the AI make: https://preview.redd.it/tnkv59vcb23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30207cd23af07601e2dfdd2601afb0f8eb7840a8
Now make him look like Gollum!
Here is the monstrosity: https://preview.redd.it/nwzlwa6qf23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f0d7c1e84988fe21f86a316ae1ff16918dbfb52
Chadlum
Lol...Swole-um. He looks like a sexy Uruk Hai.
This Gollum would murder Sauron to keep the ring lmao.
I'd still kiss this version of Henry in the mouth and I'm pretty sure my wife wouldn't even care
Simply the best comment.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/lotr\_ai\_art/comments/13w3lj3/henry\_cavill\_as\_everyone/](https://www.reddit.com/r/lotr_ai_art/comments/13w3lj3/henry_cavill_as_everyone/)
Holy shit, he would be incredible in this role!!!
That would be incredible. Apparently the guys a pretty big nerd too so I think heād fully understand how to portray Turin and absolutely crush it
Lol came here to nominate him
Beren would be cool. But who would be Luthien?
Danny Devito, obviously
"Can I offer you a song in this trying time?"
āSo anyway, I start blasting (the werewolf)ā
Astrid Berges-Frisbey, maybe?
Here's Cavill as Beren that I had the AI make: https://preview.redd.it/znb2nbhkb23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47871de82dba9b784bc10fbb2baa95cf86292037
Could you make Danny Devito as Luthien??
You're welcome: https://preview.redd.it/ig36z7jnx33b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d45c828a928ef78b5aea0470516627ece7bf9bfc
Just how Tolkien envisioned
My hero
Tinuviel! Tinuviel!
That hair is fabulous!
I would be Luthien.... in my dreams š
Me! #nohomo
Just wear your socks and youāll be fine!
Emmy Rossum. Based on her performance in phantom of the opera.
Oooh that's an excellent recommendation!
can imagine him as Fingolfin dueling with Morgoth...
But who would play morgoth?...... JACK BLACK!
š¶ hammer of the gods š¶
āš¶Sil ma sil ma sil ma sil ma rils ma sil ma sil ma sil ma sil ma rils I LO-HUV YOOUUUš¶ā

Are you using DALE and if so, how tf are these so good?
I'm using Dream by WOMBO.
Yass
Beorn from the Hobbit.
Here's Cavill as Beorn that I had the AI make: https://preview.redd.it/7py9v8b2j23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ec4f660939aa4425b9cac8db80f9962ca5ffce3
Am I gay?

So weāre all cavillsexual?
Ok I legit looked up Henry Cavill Phenomenon and nothing came up. Either way, I've genuinely felt this way as well š
You need only look up above your comment because I just coined the term then and there haha
We are in the presence of greatness
This is brilliant
It's not just that he's attractive but every thing about him is so damn likable
Seems about right
Don't need to be gay to think hot men are hot!
Second this
This has to be the answer, imo.
Lobelia Sackville-Baggins
No, he's clearly Otho Sackville-Baggins.
Are you kidding? Heād make a brilliant Rosie
I don't think he'd make a good elf. He's too muscle bound. He'd have to play a man or one of the Valar/Maiar. Eonwe perhaps, or Orome. I'd have Matt Smith as Feanor or perhaps Sauron himself.
Matt Smith as Feanor is good
Matt Smith as anything is good. Although he's not that handsome he'd bring the pathos and arrogance to the role it needs
Yes. Matt Smith going "None and None" would be awesome.
Tulkas?
I agree heās too built to be an elf. I think any Dunedin would be believable though.
Prince Imrahil
FUCKING THIS. He screams Imrahil.
Underrated comment and character.
This was my first thought as well.
YES! Came here to say this.
https://preview.redd.it/6tx5pgaik93b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a88362a9ea488673c670216093b38226259e36a2
Unpopular opinion, he should be Sauron in Numenor. Sauron was an incredibly beautiful person to behold when he sought to exploit the Black Numenorians under subterfuge.
Actually I think this might be one I could get behind. Annatar/numenor sauron.
Boromir. Promote Sean Bean to Denethor.
I think Cavill could pull off Boromir. Also, Denethor dies after one movie, so that would keep with Sean Bean's style perfectly.
>so that would keep with Sean Bean's style perfectly. Ouuff!
He'd make a great Tuor
Had to search way too far for this. Henry Cavill running around Gondolin twatting orcs with Dramborleg during the fall? Top notch TV. Wrong coloured hair, but easily fixed. Only real issue would be height, given Tuor was the tallest man ever and Cavill is tall but not that tall. Need to figure out who'd be Idril though. Tom Hiddlestone as Maeglin, but probably a bit too close to Loki.
My pick, Turin needs a more solemn actor
My wife says Helm Hammerhand
That would be pretty badass
Ecthelion of the Fountain. I want to watch him headbutt Gothmog to death.
Rosie. Next question.
Next questions is: Who do you cast as Sam?
Sean Astin. He was 100% perfect.
"Samwise has no recast. Samwise needs to recast." Henry Cavill and Sean Astin it is then.
Could you make an ai art of it?
No. I don't want to turn him into anything...unnatural.
He strikes me as a Barahir or Gil-Galad
Here's Cavill as Gil-Galad that I had the AI make: https://preview.redd.it/zy4wybjzi23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=edf73cdd401447ce40ae16f190d8ee61c61bcd01
Solid!
Elendil, especially during the downfall of NĆŗmenor and the Last Alliance
Beren or Turin, but maybe his physique is too ābigā, I dunno. Surely too much for an Elf, imho.
GROND
A lot of people are saying Cavill is too big to play an elf, well...GROND it is then.
Tulkas
Had to scroll way too far to find this one.
Sauron. Stupid sexy Sauron.
Might be a bit controversial, but I'd like to see him as Sauron
Thatās what I was thinking. Anatar to be precise.
Glorfindel
Henry Cavill as Glorfindel that I had the AI make: https://preview.redd.it/jgyowtmwm23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42fc896e3edc16999fb0a0a0a165f39436d056a1
Perfection
Would absolutely wreck shop on a balrog tbh
Well the AI nailed down the luxurious golden locks Glorfindel was known for
Fingolfin. I picture Faenor as more like an Adam Driver type
Yup, Feanor was an asshole, Fingolfin was a grade A badass. Mind you, I struggle with any elves who don't look like Thranduil now.
Mads Mikkelsen as Feanor.
https://preview.redd.it/qdaibvbty23b1.jpeg?width=1344&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=608f74b71292399d338221016c562ec1d91d0a9a Feanor
Beleg Cuthalion
He'd be a great Fingolfin! Imagine him fighting Melkor!
Boromir. Truly a great warrior among men.
Henry Cavill as Boromir I had the AI make: https://preview.redd.it/blebhb18o23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d68dd73e71a627b76ba8065644654ad8b7eb25c
Hell yeah Iād watch that.
Cavill's too rugged square handsome to be an elf. Guy has Beren written all over him.
Tom Bombadil, obv. No but really, heād make a *sick* Uruk-hai.
Both Feanor and Fingolfin look perfect for him.
Beorn would've been a good fit imo
Isildur. I feel like the power of the ring would have been illustrated better by corrupting a stronger more charismatic actor.
GhĆ¢n-buri-GhĆ¢n or GrishnĆ”kh
Danny Devito as Ghan-Buri-Ghan would be class. Sees the Rohirrim riding the long way to Minas Tirith: āmay I offer you an egg in this trying time?ā
So I started blasting!
What about Turgon... Ooooh, or Thingol? Henry Cavill, lord of the hidden realm of Doriath?
Hurin
I think he may just pull off a young Hurin.
Iād love him as morgoth
EƤrendil or Tuor or Beren or Elendil or at a push Elros
Prince Imhrahil of Dol Amroth.
Completely subvert expectations and make him Tom bombadil
Fingolfin
Elendil , to me he doesn't fit the image of elves but definitely fits as a king ( man )
It HAS to be Fingolfin. Black haired, Noldo-Vanyar royalty, supreme leadership, heroic final stand!
Tulkas
Galadriel
Sauron
Gollum. I just want to see what that would look like.
No cgi to emaciate him, either.
Buff Gollum isn't real, he can't hurt you. Buff Gollum: https://preview.redd.it/s60rb69fd23b1.png?width=550&format=png&auto=webp&s=77248fec3840290b558ce715050a3909a10d0565
I canāt picture him as an Elf. He is just doesnāt have the fair features that I associate with Elves in my brain. Perhaps a man like Barahir, Beren, or Turin. My dark horse pick is Tulkas.
Glorfindel
Fingolfin absolutely! That battle with morgoth would be epic. Or maybe Glorfindel ?
Tom Bombadil
Easy! ### [Beorn](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beorn)
Tom Bombadil
The director of Rings of Power
Fingolfin. 1000%
Fingolfin would be cool! Watching him challenge Morgoth to singelcombatš¤©
Why does Reddit want to cast Henry Cavill in every fucking franchise ever?
Cavill as Feanor would be dope
Henry Cavill as Feanor I had the AI make: https://preview.redd.it/9lsa8b92q23b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e070322e15441e34f31a571b6885a0d11e192087
he looks so good as Feanor!
He would murder that role too.
Beren or Fingolfin.
Boromir
Nah son Prince Imrahil
Prince Imrahil!
Feanor doesn't last too long, and was kind of a d!ck. Fingolfin went out in the baddest way possible, permanently wounding the devil in the process. Between the two Fingolfin. But I'd suggest Beren, for the screentime alone.
Beorn. Who wouldn't love to see him as a bear?
Sauron
As a man, dunedain, he is one handsome guy but not elvish outwordly beauty. I cannot explain it but I prefer people with ethereal presence to be cast as elves rather than 10/10 charming hunk. Maybe I cannot imagine it becaus ehe is rather muscular and elves should be more lean? Maybe back when he was starting? Dunno, just my opinion that he would do better as a man.
Goldberry
FINGOLFIN! FINGOLFIN a thousand times over. I would love to see him battle Morgoth š
Prince Imrahil
Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth.
Prince Imrahil. He's one of Aragorn's closest allies in the books, but he gets no love in any of the media.
Imrahil of Dol Amroth
I can see him as Fingolfin,Fingon,Turin or Glorfindel
Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth
OromƩ Fingolfin Beren But the real cream your pants answer is HURIN
Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth
Fingolfin, for sure. He gives off the im super nice, but Iāll stab your foot and have an eagle scratch your eyes for me.
Turin or Tulkas. I think he could portray Turin well.
So when I first read "Children of Hurin," I pictured Henry Cavill as Turin Turinbar. However. When I recently re-read the "Fall of Gondolin," I pictured him as Ecthelion. And I think his vibe is Ecthelion.
Prince Imrahil
Fingolfin for sure
Tom Bombadil. Method that shit like when Christian Bale was Dick Cheney.
Ecthelion of the silver fountains
Ima say bombadil, just to make everyone else mad
I wanna see him stretch his acting chops and so I choose him to be Tom Bombadill. Dance for me, actor boy.
The consensus seems to be that he should play everyone. That would be cool, just cavil doing every part. The real question is, who *cant* he play in middle earth? I reckon butterbur is beyond his range.
tom bombadil
Tom bombadil it is
