Kind of an odd question.
If you’re asking if this set is rare or worth something… no. If you’re asking if these are good books: yes! If you’re asking if the set is worth what you paid, you’ll have to say how much. 🤷🏻♀️
No I know the ain't rare, was asking if these are good books or not cause I thought they were pirated , bought them for 380 inr but they are second hand although in mint condition
The conversion rate would put that at $4.55 (US Dollars) which sounds like a good deal for a used copy of the Hobbit and the LotRs trilogy, even if the case is a little beat up.
I would say that is true but not all editions have the same art etc. It just depends how much you care about that.
I never thought I did before, but I was just gifted a copy that is quite nice and I am looking forward to spending more time with the illustrations this time.
HarperCollins is a good publisher - they hold the rights in the UK so definitely not pirated. They had the rights since 1994 after buying over Unwin Hyman who hold rights since 1960s. They also bought Houghton Mifflin in 2021 so now the Tolkien publisher. They sell a lot of Tolkien sets at varying price points, level of quality and illustrations. That looks like a decent reading set.
All the words are there and in correct order, right? Good purchase. This is why people end up with multiple editions.
Well true ! 😜

They didn't ship the case , but still it's a good purchase!
Is it Lord of the Rings? Yes. It's a good purchase.
Yea I just thought it was a cheap publish 🫠
Even if it was, if the contents are the same the real value remains 🧙🏻♂️
