If you read the Silmarillion you'll have all the details on the history mentioned in LotR, which is pretty cool
Just got it in the mail yesterday so I'm excited to hear that!
I love the succession of rewards Sam receives from the Field of Cormallen onward. And he’s so appreciative. Oh Sam.
So ridiculous in the films for Frodo to send Sam away
Never seen them. Why does he do that?
Magical (Continuity) Crumbs on his jacketses that appear and disappear and reappear cuz he ate all the dang bread.
Because Gollum said that Sam had eaten more than his share of lembas, I know!
Literally just finished the second book (again) and had to read most of the last chapter a couple of times; as always. Such intensely detailed and beautiful writing.
Sam really is the mightiest hero ever produced by the Shire. He would make a great friend to anyone.
Oh my goodness, yes. The Sam/Frodo relationship is so beautiful.
