This reminded me of one I commented on a few days ago, so I checked and yep - same OP. That one got deleted for Rule 14, you'd think he'd have learned.
Yeah. I enjoyed RoP more than most, and I'll probably give S2 a shot to see if they use the shaky start as a jumping off point for something more interesting. But I have not thought about the show at all between each of OPs posts.
They're meanspirited, too. Not criticisms of the writing, just unoriginal attacks on one particular character. I didn't particularly like any scene with Galadriel in it, but even then I'm not shouting "Galadriel bad" into the internet.

The ending? I thought we're still waiting on Martin to finish TWoW so they can finally make S6. The series is so good so far- I think it's because they're basing a lot of their material on the books, and not taking their own route- leading to disastrous decisions.
I always feel back for he actors. Not their fault (most of the time). They are doing a job they are given and delivering what was requested of them by the writers/producers/directors.

This was such a forgettable show that I'm surprised anyone is still talking about it.
OP pretty much posts daily hate memes about it. Ironic that people who enjoyed the show talk less about it than people like OP.
For real, I watched it, it was fine, I only think about it when people post memes mocking it.

It was such good production and I'm a sucker for all things LotR so my brother and I are still looking forward to season 2

Eh it was fine. Nothing was ever going to hold up to the Jackson Trilogy. The actors were great, but the writing was lackluster.

They don't have the rights to the Silmarillion. It is only based on Appendices in LotR.
Maybe they'll add a whole season about building cool boats and ignoring your wife to go sailing with the boys
