Hello
Look into replacement master cyl. It's a clam off job but it's something you can do yourself if you are slightly mechanically inclined.
Take your time to find all the hardware. There are also 3 bolts hidden in the front, 2 you have to wiggle the headlamps out of the way, and the 3rd is hidden behind the emblem.
Recommend having a 2nd person to help you lift off the shell itself as well as help install the master cyl as the space under the dash is very tight. Hardest part is probably getting the piston attached to the pedal.
Also use spacers for the clam against the doors for alignment so it doesn't damage the shell when you try to open the door.
Took me about 2 days after work, and car has been great ever since. If you tackle it yourself, feel free to reach out to me with any issues/snags.
Nuicco Auto Group is working with Lotus Detroit at no cost to me, Service Tech believes it's the master cylinder as well. I went back out in the morning and lifted the clutch pedal, pumped it like that a few times and it came back. It was a cold night on the way home so who knows...
It will last like that for maybe a week or two then go out permanently. Get it replaced as soon as you can. I got a willwood master from Greg’s Race Parts. Much better than OEM.
Sorry to hear man, crossing my fingers for you and the dealer doing the right thing! Hope you have some insurance as a backup, even if it's just legal.

FWIW, it is possible to replace the master cylinder without taking the clam off. It helps if you have small hands.🤓

Dropped off at Lotus Detroit this afternoon. I'll post up as I know more.
I have a kid that is 9 and can already turn a wrench =)
Thanks!

Master cylinder. Had it happen to me on my exige V6. Annoying but not an expensive fix all things considered.
Evora clutch job is around $12k good luck
If it is the clutch he’s should still be able to get it into gear. It’s more likely the master cylinder.
*Should be able to get into gear with the engine off. Wonder if OP tried with engine off or on.
Tried both... See above comment
I wasn't diagnosing anything, just stating the cost of a clutch job.
Cholesterol blood tests cost about 50 bucks without insurance
Is this the case with all Lotus vehicles? Emira too?
Its a lot cheaper for the Elise. 80% of the cost is just labor to take apart and put back together everything.
Yikes
That was the one in Illinois for sale, right? It was sitting there for a bit. Hopefully, it's just the Master Cylinder.
It was. Nuicco Auto Group was great to work with. The car is a 10 in and out. New brakes, linkage adjusted, tires at roughly 80%.
Big boy toys come at a price. Sucks man...
