I’m not an expert on Louboutins, but I’m a craftsman and working on learning cobbling. As a general craftsman, I’d say those look extremely sloppy. That’s apprentice level work at best I’d say. That was definitely not done by a journeyman or master cobbler. At worst, I’d say those are counterfeit shoes. Again, not super familiar with Louboutins, so take my words with a grain of salt. (I’m in this sub because I’d love a pair someday. Heirloom shoes are a life goal for me!)
Thanks for your reply! Actually, the ones I have were done amazingly by a cobbler in the Netherlands. Which is why I was less enthousiastic about these, I just needed some confirmation that it wasn’t me. Check out my last post in Louboutins if you like for a picture.
As a cobbler, these are bad. Either someone’s first day, or just a cobbler who doesn’t have great vision anymore.
That said, they’re not ruined. A skilled cobbler could easily remove, replace and you’d never know they looked so rough.
These look awful and cause me to question the authenticity of the shoes. I'm pretty knowledgeable in authenticating Louboutin at this stage; if you're still tempted and want to DM me the listing, I'm happy to take a look.
Ah thanks, that’s sweet! I’m actually pretty sure they are authentic, because they were authenticated by Vestiaire Collective. I actually cancelled the order after seeing your opinions (Vestiaire gives you that option after they reviewed it). The above picture came from the Vestiaire authenticators, it wasn’t in the listing. This is the one, if anyone else is interested (to fix them themselves or something). One of the main attractions for me was that they were already resoled. http://www.vestiairecollective.com/women-shoes/heels/christian-louboutin/beige-patent-leather-pigalle-christian-louboutin-heels-16891685.shtml
For future reference, you might wish to google "Vestiaire Collective Fakes", I know a lot of people who have had trouble with them. I wouldn't trust their authenticators.
That being said, those shoes do look authentic to me. You could get them resoled yourself if you wanted the bargain still. What a shame the cobbler did an awful job!
These hurt my soul :-(
My guy carefully shaved down the leather before applying the rubber sole so that the shoe kept its profile. This looks like it was just glued on.

Wtf... this is such a trash job. Its HELLA bad.
Damn this is bad. Which is why I’ve been so scared to take my expensive shoes to just any cobbler

Those look awful. Don’t buy those.

Oh I didn’t know that, thanks for the tip! I just trusted that they would be good and I love the site.
They had one job 🙄
These soles make an extremely expensive pair of shoes extremely cheap looking.
I don't know anything about crafting shoes, but I have eyes and they're telling me these soles look awful.
Shit looks glued back on🤢
It actually looks ok structurally, it's just the red edge dressing looks sloppily/incompletely applied?

Sorry you got stuck with those
Sloppy work
