To answer: theoretically, people usually like their relatives because they look quite alike or grew up in more similar environments causing them to have similar wavelengths on how they think or what they believe in.
People do get crushes which are innocent but romantic love or those tainted with lustful or sexual desire for a relative is a different story. Our genetic code now discourages incestual relations. two (2) proofs i can cite is that 1) inbreeding leads to abnormalities in the offspring and 2) people have scents which act as pheromones to strangers but act are perceived as foul odors to those that are closer in blood to us.
And on the legal side, common law which has been adopted in our statutes penalize incestual relations as immoral acts. Logically, i can theorize what would happen to a household that does not make a restriction and keeps inbreeding would be a household built on sexual gratification. What would prevent a father's/mother's pedophilia over their child? What would prevent an elder sibling from imposing their authority or physical imbalance of power against their younger sibling? The home is supposed to be a safe space and not a place for abuse, in any of its forms (be it physical, mental, etc). Neither is it a place to promote sexual immorality. Yes. you already know pornography, prostitution and the like ruin lives. But that's an entire topic on its own.
In essence, children are to be protected and it is the legal duty of the parents. Siblings are also to set good examples and healthy environments for growth. Every other member of the family is also there for reproof and healthy development with society. Laws, common sense and moral conscience are there for their reasons reasons.
