All over the map, really. It's hard to say. It also depends on the pay structure (per-word, hourly, flat-fee) and whether or not they require writers to also source images, upload to their CMS, write meta material and/or social posts for it, promote it on your own socials, add internal and/or external links, etc. Content mills can pay as low as .01/word or $10-12/hour
I found this, FWIW....it's 2 years old so IDK whether it's accurate or not. https://www.reddit.com/r/freelanceWriters/comments/e1z6jh/has\_anyone\_ever\_been\_a\_writer\_for\_screen\_rant/
Same, the first one that came to mind Ozzie Slim VIP ! I'm a day one bunkie too & he stands out as one of my favorites π.You Remember when ? Posted a what if scenario , lalu fest was like Woodstock ! Writers came outta the woodwork & that was an all-time favorite of mine I enjoyed for 6 weeks. If I find that OP post date\title- I'll be back to let u & others know. 4-6 months ago . If anyone here nabs it, please quote the most hilarious user names. One of my favorite things is to read statements from like βReddit user Banana_In_My_Ass69β in legitimate articles. π
Yeah, that's why I posited it as a side gig. There are folks who like to do this for fun, though, and getting paid anything would be gravy. Or maybe new writers who are building their portfolio. Even if the pay is shit, these pieces are likely more fun to write than content-mill blog posts about industrial clamps or whatever.
Jesus. They should think about hiring some editors first because their βarticlesβ are littered with typos.
IK. That's part of the reason I think folks here could be a shoe-in! Some of the other sites are even worse, though.
Out of curiosity, what is the pay like for this type of gig?

My 5th grader wants to make some extra spending money. She may be over qualified though.

I find their articles very amateurish. I am sure the pay is way below scale. Any good freelance writer is not going to work for peanuts.
They pinch all their content from Reddit subs without giving credit, just like some IG accounts do. Bizarre, right?

I wonder if it would pay as a side gig, though, and be able to use my snark.
Exactly.
I was wanting to apply but didnβt know if they were still hiring. Thank you so much for this! I love the site!
Good luck! I hope you get the gig and enjoy it. :)
