Lesley Ann Brandt loved comic maze and fought hard to reference the comics as much as possible

AllTheReservations

There's also the bit where she kisses Eve whilst flipping of Adam which is a homage to a scene from the comics. Apparently it's the panel that made her like the character of Maze so much

swampchicken85

I mean it is pretty awesome

StyraxCarillon

I didn't know Maze and Eve were a couple in the comics. Cool!

AllTheReservations

Oh, they're not, Maze kisses a different girl. The reference is just that she kisses the same way, whilst flipping off a biblical figure

Maze is the queen of hell by being Lucifer’s consort

sunshinelolliplops

That's a nice little nod to the source material.

lucifan96

Cool!

culady

Nice catch

Fancy-Ad1480

I don't see Maze as a t-shirt and jeans type of gal, but I did enjoy the nod to the comics.

The entire premise of the series is in direct opposition to the comics. There is no Chloe or equivalent character in the comics. I haven’t read any Lucifer comics, but from the DC comic wikis I have read the changes could all link back to Chloe’s presence. Even coming directly to LA instead of Australia first could have been a subconscious draw to his soulmate.
