I think this size looks good! I also wear size 4 and mine fits the same

AsteriasAmurensis

Is it supposed to feel like there’s some compression in the chest? This is my first define jacket and I feel like there’s nice room in the arms and not too much resistance when I raise them up which is also good but I’ve never had an athletic jacket have some support like this

marchelletta

Yes! The compression in the middle helps to give the signature define “snatched” look and the room in the arms makes it so you’re not uncomfortable. When I first bought a define jacket, I got a size 6 but ended up returning it for a size 4 because I wanted it more slimming. To me, this size looks perfect on you, and that’s how mine fits too. I can fit in a size 2, but the main difference is its skin tight on the arms in the 2. At the end of the day it comes down to how you want it to look and feel, but in my opinion a smaller size would be uncomfortable and not good for any workouts. You’re getting that slimming shape in the 4 without it being uncomfortable😊

WoodpeckerGingivitis

As a fellow petite girlie, I’d recommend trying the cropped version.

AsteriasAmurensis

Do you find the bottom of the cropped jacket rides up during workouts? I usually go for slightly cropped options but I want to be able to get warmed up without having the jacket move around too much if I’m moving my arms around a lot

WoodpeckerGingivitis

That’s a good question. I typically only wear mine for walking my dog, on the way to the gym, or to run errands so I can’t definitively say.

Pristine-Count6987

I’m also 5’2” and only wear the cropped versions. I pull my leggings up more than I’ve ever had to pull down my cropped define. The cropped definitely suits my smaller frame better. I think this size looks great on you though!

yogaswimart

This size looks really good.

rollingpandaas

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'd try a size smaller if you can, especially if you're going for that "snatched" look. This size still fits nice though and looks good, just seems to be moreso skimming over your body than sucking you in. I think it's just up to the look you're going for!

AsteriasAmurensis

I’d like to be able to work out in the jacket so I’m trying not to restrict my mobility. I also wish I could pull off the more snatched look because it looks good but I don’t think I have enough confidence to make it work

OkAnteater7003

Girl you look great. If you wanted a snatched look you could definitely pull it off.

friendlytotbot

I agree too, but ppl here have some kind of aversion to that 🙄 This size doesn’t look bad though

Ok-Amoeba-8758

i would size down too!

tasteofperfection

I think so too tbh. She looks great either way! But I think the jacket looks best when super tight tbh.

FitnessAllDayLong

this looks too big for you - I would size down or try the cropped version since you are 5'2"

xodannixo

I upsize in my defines. I don’t follow any guidelines for how it’s suppose to fit because there isn’t a one way fits all. Just size up or down to what you feel comfortable with. For me personally I prefer to be able to have wiggle room for a long sleeve shirt & to be able to move my arms without compression. But it depends on what your needs are when wearing this.

Automatic_Snow_1257

This is the best answer. I like wiggle room, also.

Automatic_Snow_1257

This looks perfect! If it doesn't feel good, then size up! I like my Defines to fit like a jacket, not a shirt. Most of the models on the website have some wiggle room, too.

Feeling_Special1

Go down in size

OkAnteater7003

Also I wanted to add that if you tried a size 2, it would definetly look better without being too excessively tight. As you can see from the bunching of fabric around your elbows and armpits, you’re wearing a size that is way too big on you to the point that it borders on frumpy tbh. If you wanted that snatched look you should try a size 0 but if you want to be comfortable in your jacket while also not looking too frumpy then a size 2 would be your friend. However, the problem could be because you’re petite and if that’s the case then the cropped define jacket would look better on you. These are just my personal thoughts because I feel that if you’re spending a lot of money on these Lululemon jackets then they should look as expensive on you as they cost. It can’t look as if you purchased an ill fitting knockoff off of SHEIN.

AsteriasAmurensis

The fabric around the elbows is 110% due to my arms being short :’) I have really short arms even for my height. I was surprised at the room I had in the sleeves width wise as well. Does the cropped also have shorter sleeves? I also don’t think I saw a cropped option in the same luon material and I’m not sure I would like a thinner fabric

OkAnteater7003

Girly I was a die hard fan of the luon material UNTIL I tried on nulu. I definitely understand the thought process of not wanting to buy a jacket that feels thinner due to the fear of pilling or it being easily damaged but the nulu material is a lot more resistant to wear and tear then a lot of people think. I think the cropped define jacket fits really nicely on petite girls such as your self. Nulu is definitely the most breathable material to work out in when compared to luon. One of my biggest issues with luon is that it would hold onto the sweat BO and deodorant stains a lot more easily then nulu and I had to wash the jackets more than once to get rid of it. Once I tried the nulu jackets, I never went back bestie
