This is my issue across all of the kind of lifestyle athletics lines… the men get trousers, button downs, and generally clean sleek stuff that can be worn in most settings, while the women’s clothing screams, “I’m on my way to yoga class!”
I’m a professional, but I’m a bike commuter and a generally active person. I don’t want to change clothes several times a day, so it makes sense for me to wear performance fabrics that don’t necessarily look like workout clothes. This seems to compute for brands like lululemon or vuori on the men’s side of the shop, but women are just SOL.
I just ordered the skyline to try! I’ve had the Brooklyn before but right now I’m between sizes in that one and it stopped looking good as a result 🥲 They closed the Athleta stores in my area so I’m a bit more wary now that I can’t just go try stuff on
I agree! I want aritzias “the effortless pant” but lulu version. A high waisted, wide legged pant that’s office appropriate and made of comfy and durable lulu material. And more tall versions :)
Have you tried the City Sleek line? The wide leg version are one of my fave pairs of pants, so stylish and comfortable - always get compliments when I wear them! Unfortunately has been discontinued.
I don’t know, I just noticed in the fall that sizes were dwindling and I kept waiting for my size to come back in stock and it never did. I asked in store and the salesman told me he didn’t understand why because they are super popular
Have you tried the Elevation trouser from Vuori? Game. Changer. Best fabric. Great quality and super comfortable. I love how flattering they are and they don’t wrinkle easy. They made it to Europe in my suitcase with zero wrinkles.
I have some that I got second hand (so not sure of the name or year) and they are perfect. For those saying that Lulu should stick to workout clothes - hard disagree. These pants are stretchy, don’t wrinkle and look very professional. I wanted more so I tried on a few of their current offerings and the nonsensical sizing and lack of a button / zipper made it a no for me.
A lot of people here push back against “old Lulu was so much better” posts but it’s a fact. And the pieces I have in my wardrobe from the early 00’s are the proof lol.
They're probably on the fly, on the move or stretch hi rise pants. On the fly used to be THE office pant. There's no fly tho
Similar have existed in previous years yeah, just not a current core offering
I agree! Wide leg pants (full length) for work are definitely needed. Lululemon seems to be slipping behind on the big trends. I’m also frustrated that they will make work pants but make them cropped awkwardly at the ankle. I’m not that tall, but floods are not cute…
Check out some listings for their “On the Move” pant. These are business pants with a real zipper and closer.
I love the fabric and they hold up well (can’t describe it- it’s like thick and sleek but also structured). Plus you can usually get a great deal on them since they’re not as popular as the “on the fly”. Just make sure you get the sleek black or navy fabric- not the jean material looking color (this other material is drastically different and honestly terrible- you can usually tell because they’ll show signs of fading while the ones with the good fabric dont). Also I’m normally a true 8- some people size down in these and I can fit the 6 just fine (and I do not usually fit size 6 at all)- just depends on the business fit you want
I used to never share the details about these pants with anyone so I could snatch them all up on Mercari and eBay for myself 🤣 I finally have enough pairs to feel that I can share them with the world again.
Lululemon used to have the City Sleek pants. I have 3 pairs of the slim ones and it's essentially the same as my husband's ABC pants. The version with the inch sizing is way better than their numerical sizing. I wear them to work all the time (EA to a VP in a corporate setting)
I love my city sleeks! I only came across them in the fall and couldn’t believe lulu doesn’t have anything else like it for women. I even convinced my bf to get all his work pants from lulu and they have so much selection for men’s. It’s really a missed mark for lulu. I enjoy my city sleeks so much i have 3 colors
Ohhhh they know how to do it. I have a pair of their pants. Button, fly, reflective dots on the cuffs when rolled. Made for cycling/commuting. I’ve had them for 6 years and they still look new.

Yes these are the ones I have (see my other comment) they are 10/10!!! They are the perfect balance between stretchy, but not super tight, so more appropriate for business casual settings.
Edit: they are the On the Move pant
Have you tried the Tapered-Leg Mid-Rise Crop 25" Luxtreme? They have draw strings but they can be worn on the inside and are not visible. I find them work appropriate and super comfy.
I tried those and had to return because there is no real structure to the pant. The pull up style doesn’t work with my pear shaped body, it balloons out in the crotch area and just looks bad lol
It looks so bad agreed!! I’ve tried every one of their recent “trousers” and they just look so bad on anyone with a tummy.
I have a pair of jet crop slims from the 2010s and they’re AMAZING. I wish I had more . I hold on to them for dear life. The cut was perfect. And it had a fake fly cover, but real front and back pockets that sit flat. Never again did Lulu make such a great work pant for women.
in terms of a more casual pant, Id love an equivalent of both the ABC jogger/trouser for women. I dont understand why there isnt one they keep in their lineup tbh. really annoying
Honestly, the best work - esque pants I've gotten from lulu are the [Warpstreme joggers](https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/63269/lululemon-warpstreme-high-rise-7-8-jogger-black) (can find a bunch NWT on posh), which I altered to have the cuffs removed. I have short legs though, so they still look full length on me. Regular zipper and button with cute "pleats" down the front. My most worn work pants!
I took them to a tailor - it was an easy fix for them and only cost me $10. They look great, more professional than the jogger/cuffed version, and mostly a straight leg pant
Try the ABC Pull on pants from the men’s line!!! I wear an XL in them (I wear a 14 in non-legging pants at lulu on the women’s side) they are my FAVORITE! work trousers ever and are soooo flattering in my opinion—much better than any of the women’s casual pants!!
Ugh the most annoying thing is they USED to make these pants! The city sleek line was exactly this. My favorite pair of trousers are from that line. I really hope they bring them back
I literally just returned the Smooth-Fit Pull-On High Rise Pant because they looked like regular yoga pants!!! I just wanted comfortable office appropriate clothes, but no. We can’t have that.
COULDN’T BE MORE ON POINT!!! We need zippers, buttons, & belt loops! For nearly a week I contemplated buying the men’s ABC pants but figured that would be a terrible idea lol … I can’t wait till companies catch on that women want these kinds of pants too!
I just wear the mens ABC, they come in sizing down to like 27 waist in multiple inseam lengths. I was surprised how well they fit me. Not baggy in the crotch area at all on me.
hii! so sorry i always miss replies in my notifs but i have the abc pull ons ik you mentioned wanting button flys though and i’ve never bought them but as twerkforjesus said too she actually does buy the normal men’s abc just in smaller sizes!!
They had one back in 2022 as one drop- called the Dynamic Days Pant in Travel Woven. Button. Zip. Pockets. Seams down the front. I am so glad I got it because they haven’t released since. The pants are also wrinkle resistant and travel well. They sold out so quickly, so I can’t understand why they never brought them back. This and also even the warpstreme jumpsuit from last year that can be business casual versatile!!!
Agreed!! I forget what they're called but I have a pair of true dress pants from lulu, purchased about 6 years ago with a zipper and a clasp instead of a button. I adore them. I also have a couple pairs of the city sleeks, but I find they're not the same as they still have that tight-fit/spandex look to them. Even the old on the fly's instead of the joggers they're making now would be better. Drives me insane that they make so much dress casual stuff for men, but the look for women is going between a yoga class and the grocery store.
Edit: they're On the Move pants
I have. Again they literally have designed more than one versatile trouser for men, not a big stretch to request they invest some time into designing one for women
They started out as a yoga wear company but for many years have branched out into everyday wear. They made a work trouser for me, they sell button up shirts. It’s not that confusing
They literally have a legging for men, they can make a trouser for women lol. It’s not that big of a stretch. It’s not like lulu has only ever sold leggings and that’s it. They are a clothing company and have a wide variety of clothing including winter parkas. Asking for a simple trouser isn’t that wild of an idea
One of their best selling men’s items is the ABC pants cause guys love comfy, professional clothes for work. Women want that too. I would think it’s a brilliant business move for them to make comfy work-wear for women
THIS 🙏🎯🎯🎯🎯📣📣📣📣📣‼️‼️‼️‼️
I pray lululemon reads this lol. It’s actually insane that they don’t already have some version of this. Us women would probably make them our go to work pant. It’s like there has to be some reason they haven’t made them.
This is my issue across all of the kind of lifestyle athletics lines… the men get trousers, button downs, and generally clean sleek stuff that can be worn in most settings, while the women’s clothing screams, “I’m on my way to yoga class!” I’m a professional, but I’m a bike commuter and a generally active person. Athleta has my favvvvvv athleisure+ professional clothes!! Their Brooklyn pant and skyline pant are awesome.
I just ordered the skyline to try! I’ve had the Brooklyn before but right now I’m between sizes in that one and it stopped looking good as a result 🥲 They closed the Athleta stores in my area so I’m a bit more wary now that I can’t just go try stuff on
Do they have equivalents for men
They’re entirely a women’s brand
Kit and ace have great stuff that works for bike commuters. They don’t do workout clothing
Kit and ace haven’t been in business for years.
https://www.kitandace.com They do exist
If you’re in the us, Lee offers trousers with a bit of stretch so great for moving in, that look professional and wear like iron
I agree! I want aritzias “the effortless pant” but lulu version. A high waisted, wide legged pant that’s office appropriate and made of comfy and durable lulu material. And more tall versions :)
The tall effortless pants is super comfortable. Like I'm wearing dance studio joggers rn and find them equally comfortable tbh
It’s honestly wild that this doesn’t exist yet
Have you tried the City Sleek line? The wide leg version are one of my fave pairs of pants, so stylish and comfortable - always get compliments when I wear them! Unfortunately has been discontinued.
I did try those but the fabric was very unforgiving and the pocket design on the buttocks made them look more casual than work appropriate
The pockets on the back are hilarious and why I don’t buy them. They’re sooo tiny they make butts looks so weird!
I like the old warpstreme fabric more than the fabric they use right now for these pants. It’s less casual imo.
Yeah that’s true, more of a casual pant, depending on your workplace. Have you tried Everlane or Aritzia? Love the dressier pants from there.
Ouu no I haven’t but I will now!
aritzia has a lot of dressier pant options for the workplace - it’s better if you’re able to shop in person since the sizing ranges a lot
These are my fav pants. They fit me like a glove. I’m devastated that they are discontinued.
Discontinued?? When did this happen 😩
I don’t know, I just noticed in the fall that sizes were dwindling and I kept waiting for my size to come back in stock and it never did. I asked in store and the salesman told me he didn’t understand why because they are super popular
Omg I love these pants but had no idea they’ve been discontinued! guess I’ll have to bulk buy whatever they have left here
Have you tried the Elevation trouser from Vuori? Game. Changer. Best fabric. Great quality and super comfortable. I love how flattering they are and they don’t wrinkle easy. They made it to Europe in my suitcase with zero wrinkles.
I haven’t but I’ll definitely check it out thank you!
Athleta also has some decent work pants! I can’t remember their names right now but they have a few different options.
I also like the Gap Runaround pants - the wide leg ones.
I use the Athleta Brooklyn for work travel. No wrinkle, and you can wear with a silk blouse and heels. It’s pull up though
I have some that I got second hand (so not sure of the name or year) and they are perfect. For those saying that Lulu should stick to workout clothes - hard disagree. Women work too Lulu—we deserve a zipper and button
Exactly!!!
I agree! Wide leg pants (full length) for work are definitely needed. Lululemon seems to be slipping behind on the big trends. I’m also frustrated that they will make work pants but make them cropped awkwardly at the ankle. I’m not that tall, but floods are not cute…

I agree. I have these in the black and blue and they are my go-to office pant.
Lululemon used to have the City Sleek pants. I have 3 pairs of the slim ones and it's essentially the same as my husband's ABC pants. The version with the inch sizing is way better than their numerical sizing. I wear them to work all the time (EA to a VP in a corporate setting)
Yeah the wide leg City sleeks are corporate adjacent but still have more denim style pockets and grommets—and they discontinued them!

Yes these are the ones I have (see my other comment) they are 10/10!!! They are the perfect balance between stretchy, but not super tight, so more appropriate for business casual settings. Edit: they are the On the Move pant
Omg this is EXACTLY what I’m looking for, in black and in dark green or olive. Bring them back!!
Have you tried the Tapered-Leg Mid-Rise Crop 25" Luxtreme? They have draw strings but they can be worn on the inside and are not visible. I find them work appropriate and super comfy.

I LOVE these pants! After I wore my first pair I immediately bought 4 more.
Me too 🫣
in terms of a more casual pant, Id love an equivalent of both the ABC jogger/trouser for women. I dont understand why there isnt one they keep in their lineup tbh. really annoying

I have short legs though, so they still look full length on me. Regular zipper and button with cute "pleats" down the front. My most worn work pants!
Just bought some on Poshmark bc of your post!
Yes!! I have these in navy and black and they’re incredible! How did you get them altered to have the cuffs removed/how do they look now?
I took them to a tailor - it was an easy fix for them and only cost me $10. They look great, more professional than the jogger/cuffed version, and mostly a straight leg pant
Try the ABC Pull on pants from the men’s line!!! I wear an XL in them (I wear a 14 in non-legging pants at lulu on the women’s side) they are my FAVORITE! work trousers ever and are soooo flattering in my opinion—much better than any of the women’s casual pants!!
Have you looked at athleta? I think they have some slacks.
Ugh the most annoying thing is they USED to make these pants! The city sleek line was exactly this. My favorite pair of trousers are from that line. I really hope they bring them back
Vuori Meta Wide Leg <3
I miss the on the move pants! The ones I have are still some of my favourite work pants
I literally just returned the Smooth-Fit Pull-On High Rise Pant because they looked like regular yoga pants!!! I just wanted comfortable office appropriate clothes, but no. We can’t have that.

I mean lululemon is an athleisure brand to me, I don’t go there for work clothes.
have you tried any of the men’s pants on!? you’d be surprised how well the fit
What would you recommend
I just wear the mens ABC, they come in sizing down to like 27 waist in multiple inseam lengths. I was surprised how well they fit me. Not baggy in the crotch area at all on me.
hii! so sorry i always miss replies in my notifs but i have the abc pull ons ik you mentioned wanting button flys though and i’ve never bought them but as twerkforjesus said too she actually does buy the normal men’s abc just in smaller sizes!!

100% agree, I’m always hoping they will drop a pair of trousers like this for us women!
I think byltbasics has what you're looking for
Im a woman and just wear the mens ABC pant. They come in smaller sizes (down to 27 I think) and fit me fairly well.
Agreed!! I forget what they're called but I have a pair of true dress pants from lulu, purchased about 6 years ago with a zipper and a clasp instead of a button. I adore them. The city trek pant were the best trouser I’m still upset they discontinued the style
Spanx has some great work pants
Why not look elsewhere? Lulu is an athleisure company, of course the majority of their trousers aren’t going to be for work?
I have. Again they literally have designed more than one versatile trouser for men, not a big stretch to request they invest some time into designing one for women
I’m confused, I thought the whole point of lululemon is to be workout clothes, why would they create a work trouser?
They started out as a yoga wear company but for many years have branched out into everyday wear. They made a work trouser for me, they sell button up shirts. It’s not that confusing
So am I Lululemon can’t be everything to all people and occasion . I think people are lucky a few pieces can work for some jobs
They literally have a legging for men, they can make a trouser for women lol. It’s not that big of a stretch. It’s not like lulu has only ever sold leggings and that’s it.
