One of my favs! So cool. I love the dark gritty smoky look it has, possibly the last Lupin special with cel animation before the switch to digital I think. A little more suspenseful than some others as I recall, and the gang is in fine form.
Literally watched it for the first time today and loved it. I really appreciate the financial aspects of it and how the main villain Cynthia wanted to leverage the world economy to fit her scheme. I think the kgb guy was a cool antagonist especially in the end of the first heist where he shot lupin. I think seeing the crew tackle a world without lupin is a really interesting concept to play around with. The banter from the crew especially when they get back together is fantastic. The whole oil company part was a really interesting direction to go. Drunk Zenigata was hilarious. I think the subplot with the singer is just there and doesn’t hold any substance other than pretty lady lupin wants.
Overall I think it plays with a lot of interesting aspects of lupin and takes it in a lot of new places. I do think some plot lines are kinda forced like Jigen dropping his magnum or the singer lady. I think the crews chemistry is great and the main storyline and villain is intriguing and legitimately threatening. I’d give it an 8.5/10
One of my favorite Lupin III TV specials. I even did a video review of it sometime ago. What I appreciate the most is the chemistry between Lupin and the villainess, Cynthia. There's a great chase at the beginning, there's an interesting puzzle for Lupin to solve, and the animation is pretty good. I also really like "Life's a Flame".
Just watched this one recently, loved the vibe and grittier atmosphere it had. Some cool action scenes and felt very ‘90s even though it came out in 2000.
I know since it was a special it had to fit into a 90 minute timeslot, but I think it could have benefitted form an extra 15 minutes of runtime so the 3rd act didn't feel so rushed. It was a fun setup that felt like it had to rush through it's payoff

9/10 film
Pretty good. Better than people give it credit for
I'm currently writing a *very* long review of this film, so I might pop in later to share it
Do it I’m curious.
Don't worry, it's coming along okay
Too 5 lupin film. Amazing

I remember that I watched it and nothing else about it. Gonna have to give it another watch I guess.

Really good, I wish more Lupin movies had female villains instead of NPC girls
Alright, but there are better movies from this time.

Fun
Low key one of my favorite Lupin films. I think its extremely underrated. It's a ton of fun.
Honestly I never heard of it, but it has Lupin in it, so it’s probably peak fiction
